That's awesome. I love that I can still recognize the game scenes in those screenshots even with the visual upgrade.  I wonder how gruesome the new spike deaths will look.

Definitely IN.  I have fond memories of prolonging sword fights in the original just because they looked so neat.

That looks pretty snazzy!  If it plays well I think I will have to cough up the points for a purchase when it is released.

Is Xbox Live the only way to purchase this?

Hot damn does that look good.

We need more classic games touched up like this.  Don't touch the gameplay, just spruce up the visuals a bit.  Would be cool to have comparison shots of the same exact scenes.

They should touch up E.T.  icon_twisted

Oh hell yeah, and leave the bug where you would get stuck in the pit.  I actually enjoyed the game when I was a kid.

Check out this little video of the game in action.  It looks like it plays close to the old games and is very fluidly animated.  Looking forward to this one!

I need to talk to Ubisoft to see what I'm allowed to say.  Let's just say that these few screenshots don't tell the whole tale of what has been rebuilt...

Some site (I don't remember who) already spilled that they've added some levels and weapons.  Maybe there's more?  (Maybe even...gasp...multiplayer??)

When I first heard they were releasing PoP on XBLA, I reluctantly said I would pass.  Much as I love the game, I've played it enough.  I certainly don't need to buy it again.  Or at least, I didn't.  That theory just went the hell out the window.  Damn, that looks amazing.

Wow that video was awesome.  I would love for this same amount of attention and detail to be payed to one of my other favorites, Strider.  Sometimes I wish developers would go back to basics and give us beautiful graphics in a 2d scroller like this.  You didn't have issues of camera control, the gameplay was just damn fun.

Ok, I got the inside track on this one - I can post a preview next Friday.  That means I'll be writing it and having somebody else activate it...I'll be busy windsurfing. slywink
