Some screens here...

http://nintendods.gaming-universe.de/news/674.html

As a guy who still fires up Worms 2 to play with some friends, I am super excited to hear about this one.  What a great use for both screens, too!

Now, please, please, be online.  If this PERFECTLY-SUITED online game isn't online, I'll probably throw a hissy for a week...

Wow...that's pretty darn sweet!  You're right, that looks like a proper control panel for the touch screen.  Ahem....IN!

I've never played a Worms game.  I'm ashamed.

I'll have to buy this one to see what the stink is all about.

Ooh! I love Worms. I too hope it has online play. Would definitely be a waste if not.

As long as I'm still able to do some roping, I'm in.  That was the best part about Worms 2!

And it looks like the Worms interface and such will work perfectly for the DS.  Awesome!

Hmmm...it looks like you'll be able to touch the mini map and zoom to any part of the playfield. That would rock.

Everything I've seen indicates that it will not have online play. frown

At least this one is in glorious 2D.  I absolutely abhor the 3D Worms.  Still fire up the old Dreamcast for some tasteful 2D Worms action.

Oh well, here's hoping for Worms: Open Warfare 2!

I plan to mostly just play it with esfoad anyway, so that's not so bad imo.  I'd love online, but my Mario Kart DS online experiences have been underwhelming at best, as far as the online asshat population goes.

At least AC had a nicer online implementation.  If Worms did that, then it'd be great.

It turns out the PSP version is actually better than the DS version.  I bet people didn't see that coming.

A good game hampered by some idiotic design decisions.

Why can't I turn off the clock between moves?
Why can't I turn off the setting to auto-center on the current worm?
And for crying out loud (never mind the fact there's no internet play) why on earth is there no multi-card play? Yes if you have 2 carts in 2 DS handhelds you still must download each time you play.

Wow, that's inexcusable.  Talk about completely blundering the chance to make a big-hit DS games frown

Those are some really bad choices....I'd been holding out on getting it for my PSP because more friends owned a DS.  I may skip it now.....or I may still get it considering you only seem to need one copy.

It's still good old-fashioned worms fun, and I like being able to use the touch screen, it's just so easy to see how some stupid little things...things that shouldn't have amounted to scads of development time, could have made it so much better.
