Well - I re-started a new Master League and here are my final stats.

0-3-11, 0 GF, 24 GA

Last 2 games were both 4-0 as I was frustrated and spent most of the games trying to hurt players on the other team so there were a bunch of penalty kicks.

I'm using the stiffs that give you when you start but my guys seem extra lame.

Any ideas?

I restarted and my current stats are 1-8-0.  I do cheat and reload if I lose, every game I lost has been a one goal affair.  I used to restart if the computer scored 1 goal but not anymore, I can now score goals.  Through pass kicks butt for getting past their defence (I very rarely use the regular short pass).  Once you are up the channel, a low cross (triple tap cross) works wonders if you can thread it through.  If there are too many defenders in the way then a near post cross (double tap) works well.  Don't be afraid to pass back instead of giving the ball away.  It brings midfilelders forward and gives you more options.

However, I'm sure the computer cheats cause every time I get a goal early they always tie it up but if I don't get a goal then they can't score either.  Defence has been pretty easy for me, I mostly double team the ball carrier or cut off passing options by positioning correctly.  Usually when the computer  is faced with that situation they will pass it back.  They might try an early cross but the chances of scoring are pretty low.

Went back to 2 star and score 4 goals a game.

3 Star I can't get any crosses to connect or win control of any free kicks, long passes, etc.

Killing Me!
