So, earlier today I bend over to pick up a dog toy that is sitting in front of my xbox, and I noticed that there is dry yellow crust all over the top of the console. I lean in closer to investigate, and quickly realize that my dog has decided to take a piss all over my 360, and the CivRev disc which was sitting on top of the console. Everything was soaked. I actually was able to tilt the xbox and pee poured out of it. I wiped everything up, and it turned on fine, accessed information on the hard drive, and the game even started to play. I'm hoping that there wont be additional damage over time, or that if the xbox is on for awhile, it doesn't heat up any pee and make my house smell like the stairwells of the parking garages in downtown Orlando...you know. The ones the homeless people like to pee in.

Uh...wow.
Let me just put it this way - your console is running on borrowed time. That...mess, WILL ruin something somewhere inside.
May I recommend you Febreeze the living shit (no pun intended) out of the console, so when it dies on you, Microsoft won't really know what happened until they open it up (and then prey they don't do so).
There's something about using alcohol or iodized water or something on the console itself, which I've read works on things like cellphones if you drop them into the toilet or swimming pool (to try to clean off the internal components with something that won't ruin it more), but I have no clue (nor which product) if it'll work on something that large.
Good luck.

Ouch, that sucks. Glad it still works, and I second the suggestion of spraying it down with something to try and get rid of the smell. You just know it's going to make a trip back to MS in the near future.
I had a similar incident when my cat barfed down the front of my then brand new 52" TV. I still have huge dark splotches on my screen, as it simply wasn't worth the $800 they wanted to replace the screens.

I have no idea of the makeup of dog urine, but if it was mostly water, you might be okay.

Well...I just happen to know that the chemical formula for it is K 9P. Other than the water in it, what you need to worry about is the salt and uric acid; not good for circuit boards, processors or memory chips. If your dog had lots of exercise before s/he did the deed it'll be worse. Not sure what you can do about it outside of cracking the case and cleaning it with a proper electronics solvent, but that of course will void the warranty. If it's any consololation, any problems caused by the salt or acid should show up right away.

I think it's safe to say the warranty has been voided already! Seriously, my first thought was I hope you let it dry thoroughly before you tried using it, but it's a bit late for that.

Well, I fired it back up this morning, and played some Rock Band for about 40 minutes with zero problems. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing important got wet, although I don't know how that would be possible. So either I dodged a bullet or I am sitting on a ticking time bomb, and I wont have a way to find out for sure until the bomb explodes.

My brother's dog pissed on our receiver a couple of years back. As soon as it happened, the receiver stopped working properly. The dog managed to piss precisely on the cooling vents above the circuit board. D'oh.

Yikes... and Good Luck, lol.
