I just got a new 50" widescreen TV and am wondering which XBOX games will take full advantage of it. I played PGR2 on it last night and it was amazing, but other games look stretched when I put it in full screen mode (no black bars on the left and right to make it a 4:3 screen) so I'm wondering which games out there were made for widescreen. Thanks.

I'm not sure what 'widescreen' translates to in the 480p, 1080i, etc, but you can use our search engine to find those things.

Widescreen and 480P / 1080I aren't related to eachother. You can have a 480P game that is designed for a 4:3 screen just as easy as you could have a 480I (normal resolution) game designed for a 16:9 widescreen TV. I also did a search and it came up with 2 posts that had nothing to do with this topic.

I don't know that I've ever seen widescreen tracked anywhere (back of the box, website, etc.) If you find something like that, let me know please? Thanks!

I do find Widescreen at another site, but they never highlight it for games that have it. I checked out games I know have 16:9 support like Madden, Project Gotham Racing 2, Rallisport Challenge 2, etc. None of them had 16:9 Widescreen highlighted unfortunately.

Hopefully as widescreen gets more popular M$ will add this to the back of their box as something developers can check/highlight.

i was about to reccomend that website. but anyway, from what im hearing plus what i beleive, more and more games will include wide screen. its another thing that microsoft can do to make xbox better an they will def do it.

I also have a widescreen TV and a few questions.
When I start a game, for example ESPN Football, do I have to change the setting myself (in the dash board or something)?
I haven't purchased the MS Advanced Video pack or whatever it's called, becaues I think I'm just going to go with the Pelican System Selector. In order to utilize the 16:9 on games do I have to have it hooked up with component cables?

Eco, to get any of the HDTV lovin' goodness, you need the MS HD AV pack. Once you have that in, you will change the dashboard to widescreen. Once that is done, the games automatically detect your settings.
You will plug in the MS HD AV pack into the Pelican System Selector Pro component inputs, and then the System Selector into the TV. You will need component to get the 16:9, unless you play the game with everything "stretched." It won't be high definition though.
