Syndicate. Jet Set Radio Future. Black and White (Kinect plz). Wing Commander. MechWarrior / MechAssault.
Halo 1-3 in a complete end-to-end game, where Gravemind makes SENSE, and cutscenes that help us keep track of WHERE IN THE FREAKIN' UNIVERSE each section is taking place !!
(Remember, Halo: Combat evolved is 10yrs old this November).

I'll give my stock answer: Sypro, but only if it is developed by Insomniac
I would also like to see some Infocom properties turned into some kind of modern 3D adventure game. Planetfall, Hitchhiker's Guide or Zork, for example.

Advent Rising: the trilogy needs to be completed, or else finished in a second game. Giants: Citizen Kabuto deserves a modern update. Freespace, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter and Privateer. more to come as I think of them. oh, and Wing Commander already had an update

Giants: Citizen Kabuto deserves a modern update.
I'm ignoring the WC comment. Planet Moon, the folks behind Giants, had most recently posted this for their jobs: Planet Moon Studios, a leading independent developer in San Francisco, CA, seeks team members for a high-end performance game for the Kinect & Wii based on a world-class, non-violent, real-world entertainment IP that appeals to mass-market consumers, particularly women. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making games that are fun for everyone.
Founded in 1997, the company has produced award-winning, critically-acclaimed games based on our own highly original IPs, such as Giants: Citizen Kabuto, Armed & Dangerous, and Smarty Pants as well as games based on high-profile IPs such as The Sims™ and Disney's Tangled. We are a process-oriented studio making games that are fun for everyone while enjoying a healthy pursuit of life.
Planet Moon Studios treasures personality, experience, initiative, and know-how. We are a process-oriented studio making games that are fun for everyone while enjoying a healthy pursuit of life. If a creative environment and dedicated craftsmanship sound appealing, this might be the perfect place for you.
We are not hiring at present.
So, unlikely.

i thought Syndicate was happening,or is it not official yet?
I am not really from the PC era as you guys seem to be,so mine may well be not that old
well i am always going on about wanting Star Wars Battlefront 3,but would like to see Republic Commando 2 and KotOR III as well, the last of all these games came out over 5 years ago now
stepping away from Star Wars, the obvious Shenmue III and Z.O.E.3..and one more-Jade Empire 2
I would like RARE to do another Conker game, but right now it looks like RARE are Microsoft's bitches and just working on Kinect games and 360 avatars..bah

X-wing vs Tie-Fighter is obvious.
Populous, which is apparently being remade as well
Battle Isle - gods I loved this game
Assasins Creed 1, with the new AC engine
Star Wars - Jedi Knight
Star Wars - Rebellion

Jade Empire 2 would be cool, but I've since given up hope of ever seeing it.
adding to my list of long shots:
a new X-Men Legends Outcast 2 (they should still have the story laying around from when they canceled it) Autoduel/Interstate 'xx

This will come as no surprise to many of you - my first choice: Morrowind! XBox. Please, sir, please make a M'wind 2, because I played the original so many times that even I remember a ton of it... including the freezing, getting stuck, and unbelievably long load times; Pirates of the Caribbean, XBox, with the ship battles, trading, etc. I loved it but it was buggy as hell; Shenmue, Dreamcast, the original at least; Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, Dreamcast; Battle of Olympus, NES; Tetris, Tengen. The REAL one, Tengen version - get over it Nintendo!; Tombs and Treasure, NES; Shadowgate, NES. That's enough for now, I'm sure I'll think of a dozen more, at least. Great topic!

And that other one, whose name escapes me now, maybe it was Something-or-other-ES II? I got a copy of that for my PC, but I'm not a PC gamer and I was never able to get it to work. I don't even know if it was any good, lol, but I'd definitely check it out (especially if they make one, and I recognize the name.)

--A proper 'Sim City 5'. Please, please, please!!!
--A sequel to 'Sacrifice', the PC RTS by Shiny recently named by 1up.com as one of the most underrated games ever.
--I agree on the 'Giants: Citizen Kabuto' sequel. Very underrated game.
--A new version of 'Dungeon Keeper'!! For the love of god, please!
--An updated version of 'Anarchy Online'. Yes, the old-ass Funcom MMO. Great setting! Truly needs a complete graphical overhaul. They were working on it last time I heard.

I'd like to say Ultima, but since the last good Ultima was in the early 90's I am not sure I know what a good Ultima sequel could or should even look like.
I'd say Thief, but supposedly Thief 4 is in development, though I am a bit concerned that seemingly nothing about the game has been revealed since its cryptic announcement a long time ago.
I guess I'll just say Eternal Darkness. Man, they so promised a sequel to that with the "proper" ending, but I'm still waiting...

Ultima Online.
The modern MMORPGs just aren't the same. UO allows you to just be a normal guy - a fisherman or a merchant, never fighting monsters. Basically, UO really feels like a real virtual world. None of the MMORPGs today attained that.

It came with more bugs than Purge's toupee Then it's perfect for an updated version - the game, I mean! I would definitely play it if it came close to resembling any other Elder Scrolls game.
I was going to say Thief, but had no idea if it was perhaps incubating, glad to hear it is (if it is.) And Eternal Darkness: oh, yeah, that's a keeper without a doubt. I wonder if maybe it didn't sell well or something, because everyone who has played it seems to love it.

Star Control 2 needs a (new) sequel, ignoring the events of Star Control 3! Toys for Bob (ie. the same people who made the first two games in the series and the ones who own everything in the Star Control universe but the name itself) have been trying to gather support for this game for years, but it doesn't seem like they've been able to get anywhere. At least SC2 got remade (with a new name: The Ur-Quan Masters) as a free, downloadable game, and I got to be part of the team that remixed its music. Yay!
