So between Resident Evil 4 and Mercenaries (PS2), which should I get?

I think I'm going to preorder Champions: Return to Arms regardless, so this would be in addition to that.

I am currently wondering the same thing. I have several half played or unplayed games installed that are anywhere from a couple months to about a year old, and I cannot seem to get into any of them.

I just bought that budget Civil War title, and so far it looks good but I havent played it much.

I am also thinking about some new RPG's. I cant seem to get into my old PS1 games that I have sitting around-I also have Skies of Arcadia Legends.

Any tips for other RPGs? I hear Star Ocean is good, Shin Megami Tensei got good reviews, anything else?

The next games I know I will be buying are:
KOTOR 2 (PC)
Brothers in Arms
Republic Commando
perhaps Project Snowblind

Anyways, I doubt that helped you, but I am in the same boat.
ARe you bored of WoW now?

Not yet, no.  I gave up my 42 Human Mage, though, mainly cause I was getting tired of the class and I'm not a huge fan of the Alliance or the kind of people who choose to play Alliance, so I deleted him (and my brand new Pinto mount) to make an Undead Priest on the same PvP server (Shattered Hand).  That Priest is now level 25 and just devours similar-leveled PvP opponents.

Anyway, console stuff.  Champions: Return to Arms is a game I've wanted to play since I heard of it, and I'm equally interested in Mercenaries and RE4, though I'll admit I'm leaning a bit toward RE4 at the moment, maybe because I'll already be getting a new PS2 game (Champions:RtA) and want a GCN game to balance that, I dunno.

Shin Megami Tensei is a pretty cool game.  You may want to give it a rental first, though.  It definately has it's own style, which turns some people off.  Personally, I thought SO3 was a steaming pile of crap, but I know a ton of people who enjoyed it.  Maybe I just missed something.

A couple others fairly recent RPG's that have been good:
-  Shadow Hearts:  Covenant (my personal GotY for 2004)
-  Baten Kaitos
-  Tales of Symphonia
-  Paper Mario 2

After having played both titles, I have to say that you need to get RE4. It's no longer a survival/horror, but a horror/shooter. Makes it a MUCH better game.

And it still creeps the hell out of you, too.
