I remember last summer many GT'ers listing off their planned purchases for this Fall. I thought it would be interesting to see what people actually did buy or trade for. The subject probably should have been "Late Summer and Fall" since I think this game avalanche season really began in August when Madden 08, Bioshock and Metroid Prime 3 were released. Much to my surprise, I actually ended up purchasing 10 newly released games since August. And since I finally got an X360 in early October this is by now means all that I purchased, as I picked up a number of cheap 360 games from past years. Here's my list of new Fall releases I purchased and their respective console:

- Metroid Prime 3 (Wii)
- Mass Effect (X360)
- The Orange Box (X360) traded for
- Bioshock (PC)
- Madden 08 (Wii)
- Medal of Honor Heroes 2 (Wii)
- Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)
- Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles (Wii)
- Lego Star Wars Saga (Wii)
- NHL 08 (X360)

And to think I was wondering why I'm now feeling the pinch for Christmas shopping funds.  retard

[Edit] I forgot that I also picked up LoZ:Phantom Hourglass

Hmm, let me think:

- Bioshock
- Metroid Prime 3
- Halo 3
- Orange Box
- The Witcher
- NWN2: MOTB
- Call of Duty 4
- Assassin's Creed
- Crysis
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Mass Effect
- Uncharted
- Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
- Zak and Wiki

So far I"ve managed to finish all of those but:  The Witcher (3/5 done and soon to be more now that the patch has arrived), MOTB (Never Played) , Crysis (2 Levels Done) , SMG (30 Stars) , and Zak & Wiki (Never Played).  I hope to finish SMG and The Witcher during all of my holiday vacation time.  So, all in all, I"m more than satisfied with my recent played to completed ratio.

I am very proud of my restraint this year.   Many of the others listed by many here I rented and beat, like Heavenly Sword, Uncharted, Area51, etc etc.

I hope to spend even less all next year.  Goal is to spend less than $300 for the year.

It's supposed to technically start on the Fall/Autumn Equinox; September 23rd this year. Which is why in my original post I suggested we include late summer as well due to the high profile releases in August.

Blue Dragon - traded for this one; when I complete it soon, I'm trading it in towards a PSP
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - wasn't planning to get it until next year, but some podunk Arkansas store had it for $20 Thanksgiving week and I couldn't resist. I can't believe how much time I've sunk into this over the last several weeks. Portability and pick-up-and-play FTW!
Hellgate: London - I wish they'd straighten out their tech issues, but I'm pleased with the game design and have not been victim to any of the severe issues. 20+ hours into the game and I still love it.
Guitar Hero 3 - I regret buying this one new, am very likely trading it in soon towards a PSP
Rock Band - Wow; I honestly didn't expect it to be this good. EA needs to fix their hardware QC pronto, though.
