Played a Console Game:

Yesterday Afternoon. BF 1943

Played a PC Game:

Middle of Last year. Started working through Company of Heroes

Played a Handheld Game:

End of Last Year: Playing Metal Gear Acid on PSP

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Sometime in 2008. I'm pretty sure I went to a Dave and Busters at some point. But that could have been 2007

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Battlefield: Bad Company

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Fight Night Round 4. Fighting Prime George Foreman as the 20th ranked fighter while I'm coming up the ranks was a no win situation for me- and cemented a non-purchase of the game.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

They seem to be many in BF 1943, but one in particular was when I assaulted a flag by myself, killed two guys guarding it, the tank that rolled in to stop me, and one more guy who spawned on the location. I mockingly screamed 'Say my NAME!' when that fight was over.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

This periodically hits me. The most serious bout came when I was neck deep into Halo3- playing it too much.  I decided to put the game away for a month and that pretty much killed that

Bought a New Full Game:

Call of Duty 5, December 2008

Bought a used game:

I bought some last year, can't think of one in particular

Bought a new peripheral:

New battery for my 360 controller

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Had to replace my 360 in February of this year

Joined a new gaming forum:

I joined GiantBomb when it first started up

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

I've been SensuousLettuce since I got my 360 in October of 2006

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Bioshock would be the biggest one that comes to mind. I didn't think it was gonna be all that, but it ended up being one of the best ever

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Mass Effect. It was good. But it should have been sublime.

Good questions...I'll play.  smile

Played a Console Game:

Sunday night, Droplitz (360)

Played a PC Game:

Last night, Bookworm Adventures 2

Played a Handheld Game:

Monday Night, FF VII (PSP)

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Don't even remember.  I think I plugged a couple quarters into a pinball machine a few years ago, but that'd be about it.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Depends on if you include casual games or not.  If so, it'd be Faerie Solitaire last month.  If not, it'd be the Strong Bad games back in May.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Crimson Gem Saga, just a couple weeks ago.  I liked everything about it...except for the crazy-ass difficulty.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

After spending nearly 130 hours with Final Fantasy VII on previous playthroughs, I finally just learned you could alternate between hitting all targets with a spell and focusing on just one by hitting the shoulder buttons.  That's going to make things so much easier this time through!

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Not very often, although I do sometimes think that it's passing me by.  The trend towards more multiplayer focused games and quick-twitch action titles means I'm interested in far less games than I once was.

Bought a New Full Game:

Last week, Street Fighter IV (360).  Which I played for about an hour before putting it up in the trading forum.

Bought a used game:

Been a while, can't remember the last one I picked up

Bought a new peripheral:

Rock Band 2 wireless drumset well over a year ago.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

If RROD's count, it's been about 6 months since my last one.  Otherwise, it'd be the 360 that I picked up years ago.

Joined a new gaming forum:

Don't remember

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

The aforementioned Faerie Solitaire.  I know it's only a stupid little solitaire game, but it has sucked up more of my gaming time that most AAA ever would.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Rock Band Unplugged.  Part of it is simply due to burnout on the music genre, but this one completely fell flat with me.  Didn't seem fun at all...and I even liked Frequency.

Played a Console Game:

This weekend with Rock Band 2

Played a PC Game:

Last night I played Company of Heroes

Played a Handheld Game:

New Super Mario Bros. on the DS.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

they still have arcades?

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Terminator Salvation on the PC, just this weekend.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

probably the first God of War.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

can't really think of one off hand.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

no.  to do so would be heresy.

Bought a New Full Game:

Company of Heroes Gold this weekend.

Bought a used game:

probably Dead Space earlier this year.

Bought a new peripheral:

can't remember.  I do need to replace my 360 cotnroller though since the right trigger went wonky.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

March 2006 I got a new PC.

Joined a new gaming forum:

I just joined some FPS forum run by some wanker  icon_wink

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

I've been OriginalCeeKay since I got my 360 on launch day.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Mass Effect.  normally Bioware games take me about a year to seriously play them (both Baldur's Gate 2 and KotOR sat on my hard drive for a year before I got into them) but ME grabbed me from the get go.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Bioshock.  the last couple of levels killed the game for me.

Played a Console Game:

Last night.  (Gears 2)

Played a PC Game:

Last Night.  (Blood Bowl League match against Bob.)

Played a Handheld Game:

This morning on the train ride to work (Jagged Alliance on DS)

Played a Game in an Arcade:

A few weeks back a group of us played Mario Kart, at a "Boneyard" Bar/Arcade.
(I lost as Bowser)

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Bioshock (For the second time to get the "good" ending.)

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Terminator Salvation.  (Even the easy achievment points couldn't motivate me to slog through to the end of a 4 hour game.)  Also InFamous,  but I may go back to it someday.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Gears 2 Horde mode with 4 other friends.  Too many to count.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never happened.

Bought a New Full Game:

Street Fighter IV (for $20  icon_biggrin)

Bought a used game:

Resistance 2 (3 weeks ago. Still haven't played it yet.)

Bought a new peripheral:

ION Drum kit for Rock Band in June of 2008.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Replacement 360 Arcade in May.

Joined a new gaming forum:

I joined the Gameshark forum today.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Can't recall.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

I wouldn't say I was blown away by it.  But I enjoyed Too Human more than I expected I would given the reviews and general forum commentary.  The story is bad, the levels are incredibly linear, but the combat was great once I got the hang of it.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Resistance 2.  The single player is terrible.  I've heard good things about the multiplayer but I traded it away before the online issues got sorted out.  I've recently re-acquired the game and I will eventually give the multi a try.

Played a Handheld Game:

Today, Pangya Golf while doing #2.

2007? 2008? It's been so long, I don't even remember.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Just finished StarCraft over the weekend.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Ratatouille XBOX360 The game so frustrating and hard (cheap death) that I can't believe it's aimed at kid.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Playing Wolverine: X-Men Origin on XBOX360. When Wolverine jumps and sink his claws into the enemy first time.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

When I know I have to work and all I can think about is videogame.

Bought a New Full Game:

Halo 3 XBOX360 on launch date.

Played a Console Game:

Last night.  Played Gears of War 2 with my girlfriend.

Played a PC Game:

Some time this week, it would've been Anno 1404.

Played a Handheld Game:

Probably Pokemon, about ten years ago. smile

Played a Game in an Arcade:

On holiday in May this year.  You can't have a holiday in the UK without visiting an arcade!  I probably played some shooter.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

BIOSHOCK BIOSHOCK BIOSHOCK BIOSHOCK BIOSHOCK BIOSHOCK BIOSHOCK (PC)

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

I tend to get bored before I quit in frustration.  I suppose the last time would've been Gothic 3; an otherwise superb RPG totally ruined by the godawful combat.  DIE!

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Bioshock, again.  The first time I witnessed the interactions between a Big Daddy and a Little Sister.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Every hour, on the hour. slywink

Bought a New Full Game:

The Sims 3, although that was more for my girlfriend and daughter.  For myself, Anno 1404 (boxed) or Robinson's Requiem (gog.com).

Bought a used game:

It's been a long time.  I really dislike buying used games.  It would've been some PS2 game probably.

Bought a new peripheral:

I regularly buy new mice and keyboards. smile

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Got my first 360 last December.  It's still going strong! icon_biggrin

Joined a new gaming forum:

Gaming Trend, during The Great OO Outage.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Can't say I have.  The last time I chose one would've been when I got my 360.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Bioshock once again.  It's a shooter!  How can a shooter be that good?!  I was expecting greatness simply because of all the hype, but not what was to become one of my favourite games of all time!

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

If we're talking massive, serious disappointment, it has to be Oblivion.  If the graphics hadn't been better than Morrowind I would've sworn it was the earlier game, such was the massive step backward it took.

Played a Console Game:
Monday night, Mana Khemia

Played a PC Game:
Sunday Night, playing through Penumbra which I picke dup during the last sale on Steam

Played a Handheld Game:
Last Night, working my way through Monster Hunter Freedom Unite...getting my ass handed to me by Tigrex

Played a Game in an Arcade:
In college, Samurai Showdown 2 had just been released.  1994?

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:
Two weekends ago, SMT: Devil Summoner 2

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):
I'm dumb.  When I give up on  game, sooner or later I try retunring to it to 'see if i get it this time'.  See MHFU.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:
Every time i drop a new Wyvern in MHFU.  Rathalos' dead body hitting the ground was particularly enjoyable.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:
Every other week, when some little punk is bitch slapping me in COD 4 by hiding.  I swear, I'm paying some uber-hacker kid to code the TF2 spy into COD4 for some righteous Fury of Vengeance.  "You got blood on my suit."

Bought a New Full Game:
Do pre-orders count?  Last week (Disgaea 2 for the PSP three weeks from now)

Bought a used game:
I can't remember. As Gamestop basically charges 95% of new prices for used, and the game is in iffy condition, I saw no reason anymore to not just by new.

Bought a new peripheral:
Two weeks ago.  Wii charger since Tiger Woods 10 was getting a LOT of playtime

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:
PS3 Last year

Joined a new gaming forum:
THis or OO, at the fall of Saigon.  Oops, I mean at the Fall of GG

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):
Have yet to change my Tag.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:
Monster Hunter Freedom United.  Repeatedly, this series just sucked for me with the MANY terrible design decisions.  FInally, I worked into HR2 (ie my skills were good enough), and many parts of it clicked.  I stil suck with GS and Hammer, but bowgunning a Shogun Cenataur at point blank range never gets old.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:
Prototype, three weeks ago.  After Infamous and it's semblance of mechanical physics, going to Deveil May Cry 5 just wasn't any fun.

Played a Console Game:

Yesterday evening.  5 stars on Pull Me Under in Guitar Hero World Tour

Played a PC Game:

Yesterday evening.  Little Plants Vs. Zombies, little Mechwarrior 4.

Played a Handheld Game:

Space Ace on my iPhone about a week ago.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

About two months ago.  They had a Mechwarrior cabinet and I simply had to play it.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood about 2 weeks ago

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Fight Night Round 4. Flung the son of a bitch across the room, case and all.  The Patented EA Cheating AI is regoddamneddiculous.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

This is SO lame...playing "The Touch" on Guitar Hero World Tour.  I'm a huge fan of the original Transformers and this song, as lame as it is, holds a special place for me.  I suspect I'm not the only one.  I've been dying for this song to hit some music title.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Usually about the time I've got 5-6 games in my queue waiting to be reviewed, I've spend 300 shipping stuff out to my team, and I have no time for anything but plowing through games and writing.  It is less than fun a lot of times and kills the relaxation.  When I post my review and folks appreciate it, that evaporates away.

Bought a New Full Game:

Monkey Island SE on XBLA about 2 weeks ago

Bought a used game:

Picked up a used copy of Guitar Hero World Tour on PS2 for my sister a few months back.

Bought a new peripheral:

Replaced my Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 with this baby - waiting for it to ship: http://www.gogamer.com/T-Flight-Hotas-X-Joystick-Front-Page_stcVVproductId79068930VVcatId444710VVviewprod.htm

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

This is more frequent than I'd like.  I think this 360 has been going for about 5 months now.

Joined a new gaming forum:

The last gaming forum I joined was OO when it was formed.  I'm pretty busy with what I have here...

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

I've been Knightshade Dragon since...uh....September of 1985?  I believe that's when Ultima IV came out.  That's when gaming REALLY began for me...

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Bioshock had one of the best endings I've seen.  Never saw it coming.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Spider-Man Web of Shadows was absolutely frustrating and awful.

Played a Console Game:

Last night: Tiger Woods 10

Played a PC Game:

August 2007, just before I bought my 360. (It was WoW).

Played a Handheld Game:

I have never owned or played a handheld system.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

July 2007 at Dave and Buster's (engagement party).

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Ghostbusters (360), June 2009

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

FarCry 2. Respawning checkpoints, people coming out of nowhere to run me over, etc had me trading it back in a few days after I bought it. (April 2009).

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

I always get this is varying degrees, but the most memorable was playing the Be A Pro mode in NHL 09 for the first time (September 2009).

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never. Although I'm always thinking of ways to fill my time so I play less since I get the feeling sometimes that I'm "wasting" my time playing video games. So I take up other hobbies like mountain biking and such so that I keep my interests varied. But quitting outright? Never going to happen.

Bought a New Full Game:

Ghostbusters (June 2009)

Bought a used game:

Bully: Scholarship Edition

Bought a new peripheral:

I recently bought wireless headphones so I can play games with the sound turned up after the wife has gone to bed. Does this count?

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Xbox 360, purchased September 2007.

Joined a new gaming forum:

I haven't joined any forums since joining this one (during the OOtage).

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

When I signed up for Live for the first time. Have had the same Gamertag ever since (JayDee93).

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

That Wolverine game totally came out of nowhere and I had a lot more fun than I was expecting with that one.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

FarCry 2. I had no fun playing this at all and I doubt I'll ever give it a second chance. Assassin's Creed is a close second.

Played a Console Game:

Secret of Monkey Island Remake three weeks ago.

Played a PC Game:

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge two weeks ago.

Played a Handheld Game:

Emulated:  Breath of Fire IV on the PSP in May/June.

"Real":  God of War: Chains of Olympus Replay in June.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Not the foggiest clue.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Curse of Monkey Island Replay two weeks ago.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

I can't really remember.  The only one that stands out to me is the damn Omega Pirate from Metroid Prime back in 2002 but I'm sure it's happened since then.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

The entirety of God Of War 2 during a replay in June.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never.

Bought a New Full Game:

Broken Sword: Director's Cut two weeks ago.

Bought a used game:

Resident Evil 2&3 Gamecube Remakes back in March.

Bought a new peripheral:

Cyclo Evolution Romcart so I can use ScummVM on the DS.  Just received it on Saturday but haven't messed with it yet.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Bought a second 360 in March for my living room but it was purchased as a media center, not for gaming.

For gaming it was probably buying a PSP-2000 in March of last year.

Joined a new gaming forum:

No idea.  Been a long, long time.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Far Cry 2.  On paper it wasn't my sort of game (I prefer structured single player instead of open world stuff) but it was one of my favorite games last year.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Bioshock.  Liked it but didn't love it and I think the last third of the game (basically everything after the twist) was not only poorly executed but a complete betrayal of the game's principles.

Played a Console Game:

Last night: Puzzle Quest in the wee hours of the morning.

Played a PC Game:

Technically, yesterday, testing Left 4 Dead on my new Win7 build. Actually sitting down to play one? I don't remember. Last month some time probably.

Played a Handheld Game:

Years ago. I don't own any handhelds.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

The 1980's, ok, maybe a sitdown racer sometime in the 1990's.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Sometime this year, though I can't even remember now what it was.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Every other day. Most games are frustratingly difficult, at least in parts. Most recently, Fight Night Round 3, which I'd purchased off someone here at GT for $10. Btw, I have FNR3 for sale.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

A few days ago, testing Company of Heroes in 1920x1080 (1080p) on my new Acer monitor. 4x AA, 16x AF, Ultra settings, and heavy fighting was giving me 50+ fps. It was ... well ... teh awesome.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

I'm a lifetime gamer (since the 1970's) and I've never considered quitting. I'm not a compulsive person, and have a non-addictive personality type (save for maybe my morning coffee), and so I'm rarely consumed by the hobby that it makes me think I might should quit.

Bought a New Full Game:

Carcassone on XBLA arcade last week, 800 pts. smile If you mean full retail, probably Guitar Hero World Tour earlier this year.

Bought a used game:

Recently, from Gratch.

Bought a new peripheral:

RB2 guitar last November I think it was.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

"Had to replace my 360 in February of this year"

Same here.

Joined a new gaming forum:

Gamers With Jobs, earlier this year.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Dunno.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

I did not expect to like Carcasonne, but I've actually become pretty enamored with it. Same with Puzzle Quest, which I've owned for over a year, and just not got around to playing. Ok, but full on 'blown away'? Rock Band in Jan 2008. Company of Heroes before that in 2006.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Company of Heroes, Tales of Valor, earlier this year. It's fairly abysmal. It's single-player is laughably bad, and it's multiplayer was broken to the point of having to shelve the entire game for months. It's fixed now, but I still haven't had the desire to get back into it. I was truly unexpectedly disapointed, because this is Relic. I expected a whole lot more.

Played a Console Game:

Last night, Magic the Gathering on the 360

Played a PC Game:

Couple of weeks ago, WoW

Played a Handheld Game:

Last weekend, Shin Megami for the DS

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Maybe a month ago at a casino

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Frontlines Fuel of War, beat it last weekend

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Shin Magami has given me a couple of these, but I keep going back. Escort missions are awful no matter the game.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Nothing lately, hopefully this fall has something.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never, interest will wane, but I've never thought of quitting.

Bought a New Full Game:

Street Fighter 4, last week.

Bought a used game:

Infinite Undiscovery. last week. Same shopping trip as SF 4.

Bought a new peripheral:

I don't buy many peripherals, so the last would be a long time ago.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Got a new 360 a few weeks ago after previously selling mine a year and a half ago.

Joined a new gaming forum:

I pretty much just lurk most forums.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

A few years ago, I went from this to the nyge, but nymanium still floats around.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Portal, it was the part of the Orange Box I expected the least from, and it blew me away.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Left 4 Dead, coop zombie killing game from valve sounded great. And it was fun, til I got burned out playing the beta, just not enough variety, hopefully 2 solves that.

Played a Console Game:

Last night. Played rock band with a friend, about to play soon too.

Played a PC Game:

Last night. Played some DoW2(thanks steam!) and Aion

Played a Handheld Game:

Yesterday. Did some leveling in Devil Survivor

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Actually last week. I felt the urge for some wholesome geometry wars 2. almost got the wax off achievement. missed it by 1%. was so pissed.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Persona 4 and FF4 on the DS

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Red Faction. I know, I know. It's a really good game, but the controls on the 360 just pissed me off. I can't use a joystick to aim for shit and often found myself dying because I can't hit the guys w/o a billion hitting me.  I don't know what is either. I had no problem in halo 3, cod4 or GTA. I'll pick it up on the pc once i can find it for 20 or less.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Uh...I don't know. When I gold star songs in rock band on the drums it's always awesome. Outside that, nothing comes to mind.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never. I'm the complete opposite. I often find myself wondering if at 40 or 50 and beyond if I'll still be gaming. I can't see myself quitting. Despite a lot of bitching I appear to, I play a lot of games. Which is probably why I bitch a lot heh.

Bought a New Full Game:

Dawn of War 2 on steam for 25 last weekend.

Bought a used game:

Never. I will never by use.

Bought a new peripheral:

ION drum set last summer. Best purchase ever, love the thing and it survived a party last weekend. Thing is a beast.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

I got a HDMI 360 last year when dell had them for pretty much 100 off. 60g was needed for rock band.

Joined a new gaming forum:

Uh a while ago.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

No idea. I wasn't blown away, but I enjoyed Fallout 3 more than I thought I would. 65 hours into that sucker in about a 3 week time. Game was fun. the main story was a massive let down, but whatever. I liked that exploring shit worked so much better than the elder scroll games.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Mass Effect. what a horrible mess of a game. Horrible UI, choices still don't mean shit, the elevator sim, the horrible vehicle controls, the sorry excuse for "exploring planets", boring side quests, easy combat, forced sex scene, a semi predictable story. I maybe alone here, but I think Bioware is falling.

Played a Console Game:

Last night. Played Splosion Man for a couple of minutes.

Played a PC Game:

Months ago. My computer broke about 3 months ago and I haven't had the time/money/desire to really get it fixed. I was playing some fairway solitaire at the time, but that's it.

Played a Handheld Game:

ChronoTrigger on the DS. Last I played was middle of June. I'll have to get back to it and finish it up sometime.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

2-3 years at least. There was an arcade that I used to love going to when I was in high school and college. But I moved to the other side of town about 2 1/2 years ago and haven't been back since.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Fable II last week.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Hmm. The last one was The Bourne Conspiracy. I rented it, didn't enjoy it, and traded it in for Fable II.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Capturing a ghost for the first time in Ghostbusters.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Earlier today. I was reading this article from Gamers With Jobs, where the author talks about how she hasn't played games in a couple of months. I wondered what it would take to get me to that point. This lasted about 20 seconds. Then I was wondering if I'll be able to squeeze in any playtime tonight after work.

Bought a New Full Game:

A couple months ago I bought NHL 09.

Bought a used game:

I honestly don't remember.

Bought a new peripheral:

I bought Rock Band not long after it came out.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

I got the 360 right around launch. I knew I was going to get it, but I was going to wait. But I was christmas shopping and asked the guy at Best Buy when they were getting their next shipment, and he said that night. I ended up waiting in line outside on one of the coldest nights of the year for almost 8 hours. It was worth it.

Joined a new gaming forum:

I'm too lazy to check my profile here and see if it has a date on it.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never. It's been msteelers since I first signed on to AIM in 1998. Holy crap I've been using this moniker for 11 years  icon_eek

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

I don't know. I don't buy many games unless I fully expect it to be awesome. Maybe Magic: The Gathering on XBLA. I never got into the card game, so I didn't expect much. But I was completely hooked to this game for a couple of weeks.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Mass Effect. I loved Bioware's previous games, so I was extremely excited for this game. But I just could not get into this game. I might go back and give it another chance, but I doubt it.

Played a Console Game:

Last night I played Threads of Fate on the Playstation 1

Played a PC Game:

This afternoon I played Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich

Played a Handheld Game:

A week ago I played a bit of Devil Survivor on the DS

Played a Game in an Arcade:

I played Galaga with my kids last year at an arcade.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

I finished Republic Commando last month

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

I got to the final boss in Rogue Galaxy last month.  I was hating the game by then, tired of the cutscenes.  The final boss was actually a series of about 7 bosses that took about two hours to get through.  I actually died on the very final boss, said "F___ that", popped the disc out and won't play it again.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Probably in Far Cry 2 when I first set off an explosion that set the grass and trees on fire and watched it spread.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Hasn't ever happened.

Bought a New Full Game:

About two weeks ago I picked up some games from a Steam sale

Bought a used game:

I bought Call of Duty 3 for the 360 about a month ago

Bought a new peripheral:

Rock Band 2 about 3 months ago

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

I bought a Wii a year and a half ago I think.

Joined a new gaming forum:

Not sure.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

I changed to Warping Ulna a year or two ago.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

This spring I expected to like Plants vs. Zombies but I never expected it to totally consume my gaming time for a whole month.  That game was like crack to me.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Rogue Galaxy again.  I had a really strong impression of it for the first 10 or so hours.  Loved the battle system, loved the graphics, loved the game.  Then I realized that I was doing something else when the cutscenes were playing and eventually I was viewing it more as a chore than as something I wanted to play.

Played a Console Game:

Last night, playing Mothership Zeta DLC in Fallout 3.

Played a PC Game:

Last night, playing World of Warcraft.

Played a Handheld Game:

Last night, playing Chrono Trigger on the DS

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Was at Disney Quest and played some drumming game...forget what it was called.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.  I had stopped playing it a long time ago and didn't realize how close to the end I was.  I played it again recently and beat it.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

I don't do this.  I always eventually go back, even to games that piss me off.  I don't want to let them get the best of me.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

This has been happening to me in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.  I finally got around to actually playing it and I absolutely love the fact that they can change was an area looks like on the fly (without having to zone into some instance).  Amazing technology, in my opinion, and it really ups the stakes for MMOs, in my opinion.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

I like it too much to ever quit.

Bought a New Full Game:

Wii Sports Resort and the Korg thingy  for DS

Bought a used game:

Mad World on Wii

Bought a new peripheral:

Bought two extra Wii Motion Plus so I had one for all 4 of us

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Bought a DSi at launch

Joined a new gaming forum:

Been at NeoGAF (as a lurker) and GamingTrend forever...never need another one

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

I do a lot of research on games before I buy them, so I know that a game is going to be awesome before I buy it. That being said, when I usually have something similar is when I get into a JRPG and realize how deep the various systems in the game might be.  You don't realize all that goes on until you start playing.  The latest example would be Persona 4.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Again, I do the research so it doesn't really happen.  Probably the closest I can think of is playing FFXII and then kind of losing interest in it.  I wasn't disappointed, per se...just not urged to keep playing.  This happens a lot with JRPGs for me.  I get all into them and then if I step away for travel for business and come back, I am just not interested as much.  On the contrary, this never happens with Bioware or Bethesda RPGs....I obsess and have to finish them.

Played a Console Game:

Yesterday Afternoon. NHL 2k7 (1st gen Xbox  icon_redface )

Played a PC Game:

This afternoon.  Call of Duty 4

Played a Handheld Game:

10 minutes ago on the can.  Sudoku on my iPhone.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Earlier this year at a Dave & Busters.  Some buddies and I play the multiplayer racing game to establish dominance.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Call of Duty 4.  Finished the single player a couple weeks after it came out.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Oblivion.  The frustration was with myself for never really getting into single player RPGs.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Playing Tiger Woods 10 with my friend on his Wii (with the Motion Plus).  Driving off the tee on the Wolf Creek course made me step back and let out a low Neo-esque "whoa".  Wish it was in HD.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never.  I go through streaks where I play less often but quitting would leave me nothing to do but exercise.  F that!

Bought a New Full Game:

Demigod in July.

Bought a used game:

Never.  No moral objection to it, but when I want a game Gamestop usually seems to have the game I want priced too close to a new copy.

Bought a new peripheral:

Hmmm.   Does an AV cable to connect my Xbox to my new monitor and speaker setup count?

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

Obviously haven't bought a new console in a while.  My last PC parts upgrade cycle was in 2008.

Joined a new gaming forum:

The Paradox forums when HoI2 came out.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Been Biyobi since the early 90's.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Kohan.  First game I played where units consisted of whole companies.  Skipped a few RTSs since then because they didn't embrace this clearly superior idea.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

The remake of Sid Meier's Colonization.  I played the old one right up to the week before release of the new and was totally crushed that the new one dropped what I thought were key elements.  The game just seemed like a weak effort.  Finished my first game (and won) and haven't fired it up since.

Played a Console Game:

Over the weekend, I played some more of Wolverine on the 360.  Gambit is an unbelievable punk.

Played a PC Game:

Six hours ago when I played a few more turns of my Civ IV game.  If diplomatic relations with the Romans continue to deteriorate, the world is headed for a global nuclear war.

Played a Handheld Game:

I was working my way through Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars on the DS, but my progress sort of petered out about a month ago.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

In 1989, I was on a family trip to Florida with my family.  I had to wait for my mom and sister before I was allowed to go in the swimming pool, so I spent $.75 playing the Double Dragon arcade machine in the recreation area while I waited.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

I believe it was Ghostbusters on the 360, about three weeks ago.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

A couple years ago, I tried Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition for the third time, and while I made it much further than ever before, I didn't have a lick of fun doing it.  Less frustration than tedium, though.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

While playing Fallout 3, I was caught completely off-guard by an assassination squad of mercs when a very, very lucky shot from my hunting rifle detonated the frag grenade in one of their hands.  BOOM!

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

I'll sometimes go a couple weeks or even a month without playing anything at all, but I think I've ever considered giving it up permanently.

Bought a New Full Game:

I bought Wii Sports Resort for a friend on August 1st.  The last games I bought for myself were Deadly Creatures for the Wii and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume for the DS, both on July 7th.  I haven't had time to play either one yet, but I got them for less than $15 each.

Bought a used game:

I bought a used version of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap for the Gameboy Advance three years ago because I couldn't find a reasonably priced new copy anywhere.  I didn't think it was particularly good.

Bought a new peripheral:

The copy of Wii Sports Resort I bought had a Wii Motion Plus included.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

I had to replace my 360 Elite in May, so I purchased a new Arcade edition with the newest chip design.

Joined a new gaming forum:

I registered on GiantBomb when it first launched, but I've never participated in the forums there.  That means that the last forum I really joined was GamingTrend in November of 2004.

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

I was *tremendously* impressed by Red Faction: Guerrilla on the 360.  I hadn't followed the development at all, so it really came out of nowhere for me.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

Prototype for the 360 was very disappointing, not because it was "bad" per se, but I didn't think it was nearly as good as Radical's previous game, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.

Played a Console Game:

Monday night, played Fallout 3. I think I'm 30 hours or so in and I freakin' love it!

Played a PC Game:

Hmm. Not sure. Maybe Quake Live back in March?

Played a Handheld Game:

New SMB on my son's DS.

Played a Game in an Arcade:

Let's see. Probably something with my son at Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party earlier this year.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:

Lego Indiana Jones! 100%, but not *all* the secrets, or something.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again):

Not sure. Bought Resident Evil 5 (is that the "cool" one?) for Wii. Couldn't handle it, plus as much as I'd like to like survival horror, I just can't do it, so off it went.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments:

Most recently, probably during my Fallout 3 binge. Just getting outside of the Vault and seeing this vast landscape in front of me, all of which I could explore. Even more incredible is that Fallout 3 is an RPG lightly disguised as an FPS and I can't handle RPGs. I'm enjoying this game so much that I might even dust off Mass Effect afterwards.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether:

Never. Once a playa, always a playa. You know me.

Bought a New Full Game:

Lego Indiana Jones.

Bought a used game:

Fallout 3. Thanks Blockbuster.

Bought a new peripheral:

120gb HD for 360.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:

I bought a PS3 in January 08 and don't own any games for it. Does that count?

Joined a new gaming forum:

Hmm. Was it Crispy Gamer? Just to win a prize?

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):

Never.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:

Assassin's Creed. I went in knowing nothing. After the first few minutes when my mind wrapped around the twist, I was pretty amazed.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:

No More Heroes. I read the reviews and I tend to like the quirky underdog style games. I tried this game and it was quirky, all right, but I just couldn't get into it. I thought it'd totally be up my alley.

This ought to be interesting, with my memory.  Oh well, here goes:

Played a Console Game:  Last night - and I only quit because the game (Star Ocean 4) froze on me five times in one area, so it was TV time after that.

Played a PC Game:  I'm console only, except for Free Cell on my laptop, when the mood strikes.

Played a Handheld Game:  Wednesday afternoon, waiting at the lab to have a blood test, played Mah Jongg on the DS Lite.

Played a Game in an Arcade:  Possibly never, can't remember one anyway. Oh wait, there was the bowling pinball game... umm... many decades ago.

Completed A Game (played it through to the end credits) Any Platform:  Sacred 2, kind of - can't remember if there were credits following the completion of the Campaign.  Otherwise, probably either Infinite Undiscovery or Fable II.

Gave Up on a Game in Frustration (never to play it again): Resident Evil 5's demo. I give up on RE until they give up on no run-and-gun.

Had One of Those OMG THIS IS TEH AWESOME Moments: The most awesome moment was when I heard the god's voice in the cave in Morrowind, the one where you had to be there at a certain time for it to open.

Thought About Quitting the Hobby Altogether: It's a hobby?

Bought a New Full Game: Star Ocean 4, a week or two ago.

Bought a used game:  Persona 3, couldn't find it new, probably 6-months-ish ago.

Bought a new peripheral: Got another 360 battery charger and packs, to have one by each 360.

Bought a new console/pc for gaming:  Recently (month or so?) got a Pro 360 to replace a launch unit.

Joined a new gaming forum: There are others?

Changed your Gamer Tag or Moniker (console or PC):  Never.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Blown Away by a Game:  Thanks to the Forum Effect, I usually don't get caught off guard, though I was surprised how much I liked Persona 3.

Were Totally Unexpectedly Disappointed by a Game:  Halo 3 single player, I was lost and confused a lot of the time, and had to keep dropping the difficulty level, until I said the hell with it and haven't gone back.
