Of course, I'm picking up Digital Devil Saga 2 for the PS2. Actually, I'm pretty surprised that Atlus has it localized so early. I was thinking it was going to be released later on this year . . . more like December or so. I'll PROBABLY just have an impressions thread with not much content relevant to the story. I'll base it more on a, "Should you complete the first game so you can experience the second?" kind of opinion. I don't have MUCH time this week but I figure I'll try to play DDS2 as often as possible (as such, like the case of the first game, when I couldn't put it down!).
Also thinking about picking up Trauma Center: Under the Knife for the DS. But not too sure. I know it probably won't have much replay value . . . but I think the concept is just so interesting. I have a good deal of credit at the local gamestore, so I'll probably end up grabbing a copy come Thursday.
About it! Just two games for me from one company (HOORAH ATLUS!). What about everyone else?

I'll be getting DDS 2 as well, although I won't be playing it for awhile. I'm only about halfway through the first, and definitely want to finish it first.

I'll just be getting DDS 2, but the Trauma game looks interesting too. Too bad I can only afford one game this time.

I keep seeing DDS 1...and I can't decide whether I want to buy it. If I'm an RPG fan (I've played almost all the RPGs mentioned in this forum except Valkyrie Profile and Dragon Quest VII) would I like this?

Did you play and like Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne? They're cut from the same cloth.

I've heard that there are more random battles in the Digital Devil series then Skies of Arcadia, and that made me completely avoid the game. Are the random battles that bad, worse, etc? Random battles seems like such an outdated concept, its to bad new games keep appearing with them.

Virtua Tennis PSP!!! Can't wait.
And I have Black & White 2 pre-ordered.
I'll also be checking out reviews for Stubbs the Zombie and picking it up if it scores in the 80+ range.
Edit: Oops, Stubbs comes out next week.

Just a note: Release dates from now until 11/14 are fixed.
We'll be adjusting the rest of the year over the next day or two.

Since I don't have a DS, SMT:DDS 2 for me. I am trying to finish DDS1 off, and I'm hoping Fry's puts DDS2 on sale.
When DDS1 was released, Fry's advertised DDS 2 for $40. Snafu at the time, but I'm hoping that foreshadows what they are going to do this week.
(and the DS sounds better to me all the time. Turn Based strategy games? RPG's? I know I shouldn't spend the money...)

Digital Devil Saga 2 and Castlevania for me. I've barely scratched the surface of DDS1 but I feel like I need to pick up DDS2 while its readily available.

Hey, this is supposed to be my post! Opps - sorry Destructor! You see, my excitement for Digital Devil Saga 2 made me start this thread JUST so I could post something about DDS2. So blame Atlus! Blame Digital Devils! BLAME Serph, Sera, Argilla, Heat, Gale, EVERYONE! Don't worry - non-Atlus things are coming out next week so it'll be all yours for the posting LE - I'll tell you the truth. I'm not much of a Castlevania fan. I've looked into Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow and, while it looks pretty good has gotten pretty good reviews (from some magazines and some importers) and such, I just am not into Castlevania games. But I'm THINKING of perhaps picking up Castlevania over Trama Center. But not sure. Post some impressions when you get it for all of us!

I actually went old school this week and picked up Dark Cloud 2, Psychonauts, and am planning on grabbing Beyond Good & Evil as well.
Here's hoping the CG collective is right about these games...

Okay, where the f*#k are all the Virtua Tennis fanboys?! The game is pure crack and is absolutely RIPE for a handheld. Look at these reviews! As far as I'm concerned, this is the first must-have PSP game.

(Assuming you have a DS) I actually started playing through Harmony of Dissonance this week on the GBA. I'll work on Aria of Sorrow next then probably get Dawn of Sorrows. Assuming my head hasn't asploded by then.

For $30 I'd buy Virtua Tennis in a heart beat, but at $40, just seems to expensive for a handheld game that's a port of Dreamcast game.

Ya know, if it WAS a direct port of the Dreamcast game I'd probably pay more for it. Thought the game lost some of its fluidity when it went to the PC and later PS2. That game was PERFECT!
