Besides those games shipping this week, I was thinking about what I am looking forward to most out on the horizon.  Thankfully I don't have a lot of upcoming titles on my wishlist, so I can catch up on some of the backlog.  It was just a coincidence that these all come on different consoles!  I also excempted NCAA Football 06 for the Xbox because that is automatic.  I don't own a Cube, but if I did I'd go with Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.  I'm sure that I will pick up more than just these, but of all the titles I could think of these were the ones I am looking forward to most.

My list of things I look forward to most.

Xbox - Ultimate Spider Man (9/13)
PS2 - Soul Calibur III (10/23)
GBA - Rebelstar: Tactical Command (9/6)
DS - Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (10/3)
PC - Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Winter Assault (9/19)

What about you?

The summer seems kind of lean for all systems but it looks to me as if the Fall PS2 and GC lineups are so strong that I can pretty much skip buying an Xbox 360 until some time next year. Some of the stuff I'm interested in:

PS2) Atellier Iris 6/28/05
(PSP) Death Jr. 8/16/05
(DS) Advance Wars 8/22/05
(PS2) Digital Devil Saga 2 8/23/05
(PSP) MediEvil: Resurrection 9/13
(DS) Lunar Dragon Song 9/20/05
(GC) Fire Emblem 10/17
(GC) Lengend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 11/1/05
(Xbox) Prince of Persia 3 11/1/05
(PS2) Dragon Quest VIII 11/1
(PS2) Dirge of Cerebus 11/14
(PS2) Okami 11/14/05
(PS2) Radiata Stories 11/14
(PS2) Sly 3 11/14
(PS2) Kingdom Hearts 2 12/1
(PSP) Daxter 11/15

I'll hopefully narrow down that list by about 1/2 once I start seeing some reviews. The ones I'm most interested in are the new Zelda game and Okami.

F.E.A.R. is about it for me, though I am curious about S.T.A.L.K.E.R. too. Prince of Persia 3 I'm curious about so long as they don't completely cluster fuck it like they did with the abomination that is Warrior Within. Otherwise, I'm open to being surprised.

DIGITAL DEVIL SAGA 2!!!

Nintendogs for the DS

And . . . umm . . . more when the time arrives right before a release when the hype-machine will no doubt make me purchase a boatload of games.

Legend of Zelda.

I am really, really hoping for another pre-order bonus of the quality of the bonus disk from Wind Waker.

All I'm looking forward to is Final Fantasy XII for the PS2. Well, maybe Fear for the PC out of curiosity. Seems like games can't grab me nowadays like they used to. At least until I tried Guild Wars and that's what I'm playing now. I hope it lasts.

[PS2] Kingdom Hearts 2
[DS]  Nintendogs, Advance Wars DS, Animal Crossing DS
[PC]  Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2 expansion

I think that's about it...everytime I forgot how much I enjoyed Half-Life 2, I see something about it's expansion and get all excited again biggrin

The game I am looking forward to the most is Zelda. Other then that,
[XBOX]        Burnout Revenge
                   Tony Hawk's American Wasteland
[XBOX 360]  Gears of War
                   Kameo
                   Maybe Madden 2006
[PS2]           ???  Nothing I guess.
[DS]             Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, New Mario Bros.,
[PSP]           Nothing that is a must have for me.
[GC]            WWE: Day of Reckoning 2

Cant think of anything else at the moment

America's Army: Rise of a Soldier

Banking on my recent enjoyment of Ubisoft Games and the America's Army PC version beign really tight, I hope that this one comes through.

Burnout Revenge

I am addicted again.

Zelda

Long Run, might have to purchase a GC just for it.

Since someone else kept the thread alive, I'll contribute:

Makai Kingdom (PS2)- 7/31
Callof Cthulu:DCOE (PC)- 8/1 - should it actually be relaesed, and I will be waiting for OO/CG reviews...
Dungeon Seige II (PC)- 8/15 - Big Maybe
Age of Empires 3 (PC)- 9/1
Dragon Warrior 8 (PS2) - Someday - And I'll probably get the little Blue Slime as well.  Why didn't they make it wireless?!
Final Fantasy XII - Someday - And I will try to forget FFX2. And this will almost certainly not come out before 2006.
SMT: DDS 2 - Halfway through DDS right now
Warhammer:DOW: Winter Assault - 10/1

Wish there was more on my list, but for now its:

-  Burnout Revenge
-  Shadow of the Colossus
-  Dragon Quest VII (I'm cautiously anticipating this one.  I haven't liked any of the other Dragon Quest games, so I'll definately check out reviews)
-  Magna Carta
-  Final Fantasy XII

ScummVM PSP, GTA PSP and maybe Burnout PSP.

On the PC nothing, as I have too many great games already and not enough time to play them. EQ 2 and GTA:SA are taking up all my gaming time, and I still haven't finished HL 2 and Vampire. By next year I hope to have caught up with the games I have, and then maybe get excited about Dragon Age and Duke Nuke'em Forever (I'm serious, DN3D is one of my all time favs)

XBox doesn't seem to have much on the horizon. Ironic that I brought a XBox for Lionheads 'exclusive XBox games' (remember all the uproar when PM stated that he was console exclusive all those years ago), yet they only released one game for that platform. And an improved versions coming out for PC. The rate they are going they might have a game out for the XBox 1020.

Duh, just remembered the new Burnout for the XBox. That's a must have.

Black & White 2, some of the multimedia functions in the Xbox360, Gears of War, DOA4, DOAX2, FFXI on X360 (man I miss that game).
