And this week is the last week of September. Less than 3 months until Christmas! Let's see what's coming out, shall we?

PS2:
Mortal Kombat Kollection
Onimusha: the Essentials
Pipe Mania

PS3:
Silent HIll Homecoming

PSP:
Pipe Mania
Valhalla Knights 2

360:
Mobile Ops: The One Year War
Silent HIll Homecoming
Mega Man 9 (XBLA)

Wii:
Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility
Pipe Mania
We Cheer
Super Turrican (VC)
Art Style: Orbient (WiiWare)
Bomberman Blast (WiiWare)

DS:
Margot’s Word Brain
Pipe Mania
Pop Cutie: Street Fashion Simulation
Princess Debut
Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood
Unsolved Crimes

PC:
Baseball Mogul
Dark Horizon
Mount and Blade
Hinterland
Pipe Mania
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel
SAS: Secure Tomorrow
Sniper: Art of Victory
Zoo Tycoon 2 Ultimate

The only things that look interesting to me are Sonic and Silent Hill, but I'll be putting them off for reviews and impressions. That, and there's still plenty of WAAGH! to be doing for me.

What are you buying this week?

Nothing for me.

There is nothing there that looks even remotely interesting.

Nope. October looms large.

Also, Destructor, one thing I love about Monday's (maybe the only thing besides MMQB by Peter King) is these threads.

Thanks for doing them and I know that there are many more besides me who love the consistency.   thumbsup

Gonna get the RHCP album for Rock Band, for certain.

I'm interested in Sacred 2, Silent Hill Homecoming, and Mega Man 9. Nothing on the list to run out and buy, but good reviews and feedback could get me to purchase one of those 3.

Also, according to Amazon, Brothers In Arms Hell's Highway is due to release tomorrow for PC. Not sure how accurate that is, and Amazon has been known to suddenly change release dates at the last minute.

Picked up Kings Bounty yesterday, so that's it for me.  Interested in Sacred 2, but will wait for some reviews first.

Interested in Silent Hill Homecoming, but I'll wait for impressions/reviews.

I'll probably be picking up Sonic: Dark Brotherhood.  IGN didn't care for it, but the other reviews are all positive.

I'll be considering MM9 on XBLA, but I don't know if I have the patience for uber-challenging anymore.

VC this week is Super Turrican 2, and Wiiware has Bomberman Blast plus a game called Art Style: ORBIENT.

I'm very interested in Harvest Moon for the Wii, but I'm going to hold off until I can check out some reviews.  Games in this series can vary in quality, so I may just hold out for Rune Factory 2.

I have Silent Hill Homecoming on pre-order, but some unexpected bills may put a damper on my fall release purchase plans, so I may not be picking it up right away.

Nothing. Rock Band 2 and LEGO Batman this last weekend (though I know those were released two weeks ago). I'm still waiting for the DRM issue with Spore to be resolved so I can pick that one up someday.

I wound up picking up Mega Man 9 on the Wii, as after mulling over the controls, decided that I'd rather have the more precise Wii controls for it than the craptastic 360 D-Pad frustrating me to no end (and I canNOT play a 2-d Mega Man game with a joystick).

Imagine my happiness to find that the game has a pile of achievements ("challenges") as a part of the game itself, so it's platform-independent in that regard. Awesomeness. icon_biggrin I love achievement-style goals in games (even the way World of Warcraft is adding them has me excited). The points don't matter, it's the accomplishments. Being able to have that list of things to work toward just adds to the replayability of a game for me!

I'm interested in Sacred 2, but it won't be a near-future pickup for me. Passing on Harvest Moon for now, I still have tons of game left in the last Gamecube release (Magical Melody or whatever it was named) as well as the original on the VC (woot!).

...on the Wii

After us playing Smash Bros. Brawl Saturday night (which was my first real time I've spent with it since my purchase aside from 20 mins here and there) I'm anxious to really dive into it. That will feel like a brand new purchase too!

Yah, now that I am unable to track every release day to day this thread often spurs unexpected purchases.

Exactly. Hinterland just went from 'complete unknown' status, to "very interested" status. I'll be keeping my eye out for it on Steam. (A current search on Steam turns up nothing, though)

On the other hand, other threads also remove games from my wanted list, so it evens out.

Hehe...now where have I heard that before. slywink  Apparently the graphics are also platform independent; i.e. it looks identical on Wii, 360 and PS3. I'm currently getting my head handed to me in Mega Man 2, so I might just have to download 9 this week. Not that I expect it to be that much easier.  icon_confused

Nothing for me this week except that I'll finally get around to picking up Lego Batman. I will eventually be getting Sonic Dark Brotherhood for my kids, but it'll likely be a stocking stuffer at Xmas.

I'm interested in Silent Hill, and since I own all the other games in the series, I'm definitely getting it at some point.  However, since I've also never finished any of the other games in the series, I think I'll hold off for a bit.  I'll probably grab Hinterland at the $20 asking price.

Nothing this week on that list, but I will get Silent Hill some day.  My problem is I keep finding recent, but older, games at killer prices everywhere and can't resist getting them.  Hell, I found Grid for 360 today at Target on clearance for $14.98.  Everywhere else it is still $59.  I have found 3 this week alone at sub $15 prices.  Just can't resist em and since soooo many of these games drop like rocks like this I am finding it harder and harder to jump day one.

Plus, like others have said Oct November is ridiculous with awesome games.  Must resist.

I'm finding myself doing the same thing. Target is keeping me in games lately.  Combine that with all the games coming out next month and a new found Warhammere addction and it all adds up to me buyin nothing this week.

I'm jealous of you finding Grid for $15.

My Target had 3 copies.  I find if you hit your Targets once a week you will be amazed at what pops up.  Here are a few:

Kane and Lynch $5-12
Grid $15
Lost Odyssey $15
Viking $10
NBA Live 08 $15
Tiger Woods 08 $15
Scene It $15
Bourne $10

and others too many to mention.  But it is totally hit or miss when and which Target.  I have 3 and have to go by each once every week or two at the latest.   But deals can be found and I usually have to go there about every two weeks for something anyway.

And oh yeah, found Assassin's Creed for PS3 yesterday at Sam's for $13.  You never know.
