And incase you want to know, here's the VC releases this week:

Quote
Kirby's Avalanche™ (Super NES®, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): Everyone's favorite round, pink hero takes a break from swallowing his enemies to put your brain to work in this fast-paced puzzle game. Players take control of Kirby and match wits with well-known enemies from the Kirby series (including his archrival, King Dedede) in an effort to win the First Annual Dream Land Avalanche Competition. The simple-but-addictive game play revolves around brightly colored blobs and boulders. When the right amount of matching blobs are stacked, they explode and rain down on your opponent's field of play. Repeat this until your screen is clear to move on to the next round. But be careful—the farther you advance, the faster the blobs fall and the smarter the opponents get. Are you good enough to help Kirby become the avalanche king?

Streets of Rage™ 3 (Sega Genesis, 1-2 players, rated E 10+ for Everyone 10 and Older - Violence, 800 Wii Points): Just when you thought the world was safe from the Syndicate and its shady leader, Mr. X, they have returned to torment the city once again. Mr. X has developed lifelike robots to take the place of various city officials so he can be in complete control. Now it's up to our old heroes Axel, Skate and Blaze to stop the threat with their amazing fighting skills. With more weapons and combat moves, as well as secret characters and various endings, this return to the streets is one you won't want to miss.

LEGEND OF HERO TONMA (TurboGrafx16, 1-2 players, rated E for Everyone - Mild Cartoon Violence, 600 Wii Points): LEGEND OF HERO TONMA is an action game that puts players in control of the magic-user Tonma, whose role - as was typical for game heroes of the day - is to travel to another world and save the princess. Fight your way through seven stages using Tonma's jump ability and shot power. Collect power-ups and barriers to grow in strength and pummel your enemies. Bring that strength to the end of each stage to face off against and defeat the menacing bosses that aim to keep you from the princess. This well-detailed game's comic visuals and feel will have players wanting to come back for more frantic and exciting action.

Yay? Trust me on this one - if you want a Streets of Rage game, get 2.

Just kidding........

Halo 3. (two copies for co-op)

I will also eventually get Opposing Fronts once I finish the CoH campaign.  (In other words roughly early 2009  icon_smile)

I just picked up Stuntman: Ignition [360] at Best Buy's nice sale price, and I've got a preorder of Halo 3 on it's way.  I think that will keep me satisfied for now.

Halo 3.  If my best friend Big Willie didn't promise to do bodily harm to me if I didn't pick it I would have passed.  Put it on preorder yesterday and got on the 30% deal for trades in the Gamestop was running.  Used Bioshock for the trade in and only had to pay 10 bucks or so to pay it off.  Nice deal

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts as soon as I can find it for <$30.  There's an organ inside me (near the liver) that goes haywire at the thought of paying $40 for an expansion pack, standalone notwithstanding.

Halo 3 pending a sale or good used copy price.

Probably ask for Halo 3 for my birthday (3 weeks) instead of picking it up myself.  Also interested in The Settlers.

Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts is a must have.

And I guess I'll pick up Halo 3 but it's more obligation than enthusiasm.

I will pick up Halo3 if I like it.  I have to convince my neighbor to come over and show me what it's like.

Opposing Fronts? - Without question.  But will probably wait for it to go on sale.

Dragon Blade for the Wii might be a possibility, but only if there's reviews this week that are favourable.
Another meh week for Virtual Console, the only great game amongst them is SoR3 and I already have it on gametap.

Nothing!

Halo 3 gets a rental when I get around to it (Gamefly, or if Blockbuster ever has it in stock) and we'll go from there. As for the PC, I'll probably pick up the Company of Heroes expansion when it's around $25 and, maybe, The Settlers: Rise of an Empire when it hits $20 (pending reviews/demo).

Otherwise I'm grateful for another light week. NWN2 kept me busy for 5+ hours yesterday.  icon_smile

EDIT: Gamespot just dropped a 9.5 rating on Halo 3 (Already? Geez!) and that still doesn't influence my "rent it when I get around it it" stance on the title. Great review though.

PS2:
Jackass: The Game  - likely reviewing

PS3:
NBA 08  --- likely pawning this off on Devil as I am just not qualified to review this title...

360:
Halo 3
World Series of Poker 2008: Battle for the Bracelets  - Preview on the front page, review in the pipe.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Hard Evidence  -- Support the people who make Sam & Max! smile  (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

PC:
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts  -- Maybe.  I'm pretty busy and could probably stand to wait until later on this one.
