Well, its finally happened - it's the final three months of the year. What does that mean? Yup, that's right - it's time for everybody and their fucking mother to release all the games you fucking want to play all at the same fucking time.
Yes, it pisses me off to no end EVERY year. Publishers: SPREAD OUT YOUR FUCKING GAME RELEASES.
PS2: Ferrari Challenge Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Tiger Woods 09
PS3: Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice Ferrari Challenge Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Tiger Woods 09 Vampire Rain: Altered Species
PSP: Fading Shadows N+ Tiger Woods 09
360: Infinite Undiscovery Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Tales of Vesperia Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 Castle Crashers (XBLA)
Wii: Ferrari Challenge Freddi Fish: Kelp Seed Mystery Mario Super Sluggers Pajama Sam in Don't Fear the Dark Rebel Raiders Spy Fox in Dry Cereal Tiger Woods 09 Samurai Shodon II (VC) Ys Book 1 & 2 (VC) Helix (WiiWare)
DS: Commando: Steel Disaster Digimon World Championship Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli From the Abyss Garfield’s Fun Fest Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness MLB Power Pros 2008 My Chinese Coach N+ Picto Image The Sims 2: Apartment Pets
PC: GTR: Evolution Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Murder in the Abbey Sinking Island The Sims 2: Apartment Life
BTW: Yes, I normally don't put in Sunday releases (Mercs 2 - 8/31), but I'm making an exception this time.
Why am I bitching up top? Let me put it this way - I'm buying three games this week alone. Mercenaries 2, Infinite Undiscovery, and Tales of Vesperia will be mine. Here's to hoping that my 360 doesn't explode from overuse.
What are you buying this week?

RB Rush DLC and Castle Crashers on XBLA for me.
I'm tempted by Disgaea 3 but I think I will wait for a while since I still haven't finished Disgaea 2 yet.

What are you buying this week?
Well I'm buying these two, but one comes out Sunday, which is clearly next week and the other comes out in November.

This weeks VC releases are Ys Book 1 & 2 [TG-16] and Samurai Shodon II [NeoGeo]. I've played Samurai Shodon II and can say it's an excellent fighting game and quite an improvement over it's prequel. I haven't played Ys, but I've heard many good things and a few bad things about it. Good that it was an RPG with a decent story and the graphics and sound were some of the best on the TG-16, bad that the real-time combat wasn't very interactive.
The only for sure purchase for me this week is a copy of MLB Power Pros DS for my son. Mercenaries 2 and Mario Sluggers are strong possibilities too.

Well I'm buying these two, but one comes out Sunday, which is clearly next week and the other comes out in November. Well, as I said, I made an exception for Mercs 2 this time around (odds are I won't do it again). And time to kick my source as usual and fix this goof. Developers: Publishers: SPREAD OUT YOUR FUCKING GAME RELEASES.
Fixed. While mostly true, I can counter by saying this - how many games are being developed that are aimed for this time period anyway? How many finished games are being sat upon until this 'magical time of the year' comes around?

360: Infinite Undiscovery Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Need for Speed Undercover Tales of Vesperia Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09
At another time in my life, I would have been in on all of these, but I'm going to wait for reviews on most of them. I think I may be out on IU and ToV (though the latter is pretty tempting). I constantly buy these types of games and never come close to finishing them.
Wii: Mario Super Sluggers IN Freddi Fish: Kelp Seed Mystery; Pajama Sam in Don't Fear the Dark; Spy Fox in Dry Cereal (I'll probably get one or more of these for my daughter at some point) Tiger Woods 09 If it's different enough from the 360 version, I may pick it up if the reviews are good
DS: N+ (maybe, but the XBLA game is probably enough for me)
Also the Wiiware game is the rhythm game Helix.

While I don't always catch your posts and fix the thread up top, your information is greatly appreciated (especially since I don't know of a site that catalogs those releases).

I've been longing for a fun RPG to play, and I checked out some gameplay footage of IU, and I am now at least interested. I'll be watching for feedback and reviews. How did Microsoft score an exclusive from Square Enix?! Doesn't Japan consider this treason or something?

An RPG on PS3?? Could it really be true? Gonna have to research if this is just a cheap PS2 port or not.
Lot of potentially good games on that list, hmm can I finish any of them before Warhammer launches.

Well, even though Mercenaires 2 technically releases next week, since Sunday is the start of the week I guess I will have to say Mercenaries 2 since it's on the list. Not yet decided whether it will be 360 or PC version for my new box.

Tales of Infinite Mercs 2 will make it into my library eventually, I just need to decide what order. STALKER is a day one, although it's definitely into next week territory with a September 5th release date. sorry D, there's no fudging that one

Tiger Woods and Mercs 2 are maybes. I don't think I have the patience for the any of the new RPGs, though I do totally find it comedic that they are all released on the same motherfuckin day. That's bad planning, people.

From what I noticed, Tales is Tuesday, while Infinite is Friday. Same week, yes, day, no. Still stupid.

I really want tales. But since I'm buying 3 games in 2 weeks, which is over my budget. I had to cut it out in favor of IU next week. I look forward to reading impressions though.
I was hoping rock band DLC, but I may get it friday when the money comes. Kinda glad Fallout3 comes out in October now. Sept would've killed me.

I wanted to say that I really enjoyed the Tiger Woods Demo. I thought the changes to character improvement were very smart (they felt repetitive after a while in the demo, though, hopefully there will be a larger variety of tasks).
Still waiting for reviews, but I'm optimistic.

I have Tales of Vesperia and Infinite Undiscovery preordered, so I'll be getting those. Castle Crashers is a possibility, depending on reviews and the demo.
Some people at GameFAQs are saying that their local Gamestop/EBs have gotten Vesperia in already, and are just waiting until Tuesday to sell it. As for Infinite Undiscovery, it's supposed to ship Friday (since Monday is Labor Day), but I don't know if it's street-dated or not. Square Enix is still saying it releases September 2.
