Your random thought of the morning - the Spanish word for Warning is Avertissement. No wonder we're all afraid of ads - whenever we see an advertisement, we think of danger!

Now back to your regularly scheduled release list:

PS2:
Guitar Hero Metallica

PS3:

PSP:
Air Conflicts: Aces of World War II

360:
Outrun Online Arcade (XBLA)

Wii:
Escape the Museum
Samurai Showdown Anthology
Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure (VC - Genesis)
Party Fun Pirate (WiiWare)

DS:
Dokaon Journey
Imagine: Makeup Artist
The Dark Spire
Master of Illusion Express: Shuffle Games (DSiWare)
Mixed Messages (DSiWare)

PC:
City of Heroes: Architect Edition
Cryostasis
Demigod
Still Life 2

Well, I technically already own City of Heroes: Architect Edition (free to all CoX subscribers - it's just the current 'expansion pack' which are always free), so I guess I'll have bought it this week.

Additionally, The Dark Spire (DS) and Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled (DS) look pretty dang cool. I might grab those once somebody here posts some positive impressions, as I could use some RPGs for my DS. Plus, Demigod (PC) sounds really good...

What are you buying this week?

I may be in for Escape the Museum.  These Hidden Object games are a lot of fun, and my wife enjoys lurking over my shoulder while I play the PC version.  The ability to play together (assuming this one does that) from the couch is good.  However, I need to hear what the graphics are like.  The last one of these I picked up for the Wii (Mortimer Beckett) was not nearly sharp enough, which makes pixel hunts more than a little frustrating.

I'm still waiting to hear if Cate West works on the Wii, graphically.  I imagine it'll be quite some time before I hear anything from Escape the Museum.

On a non-related note, weren't some people here interested in The Dark Spire?

No plans to buy anything, but have a close eye on Demigod. Beta-tester feedback on it that I've seen has been pretty positive.

Was very interested in The Dark Spire, but early reviews have not exactly been promising.  So probably nothing.

Dark Spire on the DS is high on my interest list, but waiting for reviews and community impressions.

Black Sigil and CORE for DS aren't coming out until May 12th.  Everyone should preorder them though.  I bought another million shares of their publisher's stock last week  icon_twisted

I'm probably going to pick up Demigod, but I'm undecided whether I'm going to get the retail box, or just pull it down through Impulse.  Probably Impulse, but I do like the CE box art.  Then again, I'm not sure the figure, poster, and soundtrack are worth the extra $10.  Plus, I literally won't be able to go to a store until Friday at the earliest, so impatience will likely win out.

I'm interested in Dark Spire, but really shouldn't get it since I never wind up playing any games on either of the handhelds.  Hell, my copy of Loco Roco 2 has been in the shrink since I bought it on launch week.

I've heard good things about Pitfall the Mayan Adventures [GEN], just might download it. Grrrr...that LoZ:Majora's Mask isn't one of this weeks' NA VC releases.

I just bought Zone of the Enders and downloaded Onslaught and Wave Race 64 this weekend and bought TC Endwar last week so I'm set for a while. I'm a bit interested in the Samurai Shodown Anthology [Wii]. If they've implemented good classic controller support and added some features it might be a purchase. I'll be awaiting reviews though, since I already have most of the series via gametap and Shodown 1 & 2 are already available on VC for $18.

I remember playing it back in college and thinking it was fun back then.  Not sure how it would hold up.  I am also mad about Majora's Mask.  People on NeoGAF are speculating that they might be holding it for the 300th VC release, which if they keep releasing one a week means 5 weeks from now.

Destructor,

Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled and C.O.R.E. have been pushed back to May 12th according to the Publisher:

http://www.graffitientertainment.com/index.php/games/black-sigil

http://www.graffitientertainment.com/index.php/core/34-games/50-core

I'll be grabbing The Dark Spire

<edit> Kathode beat me to the punch. Black Sigil looks fantastic, but the numerous delays (4 in total) have me very worried.

Pretty sure it's mainly just the publisher trying to secure the most orders possible from retailers.  The game has been done since sometime last fall.  They're a super-tiny outfit.  I (literally) own two million shares of their stock (worth fractions of a cent per share of course).

Then EBGames needs to update their websites faster - I was right as of yesterday when I verified my releases there. Oh well.

I may be in for Escape the Museum.  These Hidden Object games are a lot of fun, and my wife enjoys lurking over my shoulder while I play the PC version.

I don't know how the Wii version will turn out, but the PC version of Escape The Museum is one of the harder hidden object games I've played.  The scenes are packed with stuff, and a lot of the objects are small and blend very well with the backgrounds.  It's a good game, though, with light adventure game elements (combining objects, etc) and plenty of levels.  Hints are unlimited, and only affect your ranking percentage.
