While some of you might think that this is early, I look at it as a way to sleep in tomorrow. That, and it's the 9th somewhere in the US already. So let's take a look:
PS2: Trivial Pursuit
PS3: Resident Evil 5 SBK: Superbike World Championship Trivial Pursuit
PSP: Mana Khemia: Student Alliance SBK: Superbike World Championship
360: Resident Evil 5 SBK: Superbike World Championship Trivial Pursuit Crystal Defenders (XBLA) Peggle (XBLA)
Wii: MadWorld Marble Saga Kororinpa Mario Power Tennis Play Control Pikmin Play Control Trivial Pursuit Totally Spies: Totally Party Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars (VC) Gradius ReBirth (WiiWare)
DS: Animal Planet: Emergency Vets Avalon Code Crazy Chicken - Star Karts Docomodake BOING! Jake Power: Handyman My English Coach - Spanish Edition My Pet Shop MySims Party World Championship: Track & Field ZUBO
PC: Codename: Panzers Cold War Eve Online: Apocrypha
The only thing that interested me this week I was turned off against due to its lack of overall game length (Resident Evil 5). Doesn't mean that it'll stop me from renting it sometime though.
What are you buying this week?

Avalon Code is getting good reviews, but I've got too many RPGs going already, and Suikoden : Tierkreis comes out next week.
The XBLA game for this week is NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition, a scaled-down version of the full game.

Probably RE5, I wish games weren't so DAMN expensive though. I really should finish RE4, but damnit if the graphics in RE5 aren't pretty.

No Wii stuff up yet, so here's what I'm doing this week.
I thought there would be more locks this week, but the only one seems to be the Kororinpa sequel (what a horrible title).
360: Resident Evil 5 - waiting to hear what's happening RE-wise for the Wii, though I doubt it'll be RE5, then I'll probably be IN Trivial Pursuit - I think this should probably have been on XBLA. The mobile version has added some surprisingly entertaining features. Depending on reviews, I could be IN when it's cheap
Wii: MadWorld - I want to be IN, but it's been looking repetitive lately, so I'm waiting for reviews. Marble Saga Kororinpa - IN Trivial Pursuit - see above, but I may go Wii for the family aspect of it
DS: Avalon Code - I'm with Eddie, the reviews look good, but I'm still cranking through ChronoTrigger and haven't even started DQ5 yet Docomodake BOING! - This looks interesting for $20, but I'm on the fence ZUBO - looks like a good, pretty, and simple (kids) RPG...I could go for that

Here's what's on XBLA wednesday:
The brilliantly addictive Peggle and Square Enix's Crystal Defenders.
And, finally:
VC:
Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars [Sega Master System]
Wiiware:
Gradius ReBirth

Is this the original Peggle or is there new content? Either way, I'm probably in. It looks like it's the original game (not Nights), but they've added multiplayer (and possibly co-op, but I've seen no confirmation). Also, there will definitely be downloadable levels. It's not clear if Nights will be part of that. They've said they want to do themed levels (there were some Valve themed Peggle levels released in the PC version of The Orange Box, for example). I'm probably more in for this than the DS version, though I've heard that's good, too. I just don't need to replay the original (or Nights, for that matter) 3 times, but the downloads are appealing, even if they're bilk-tastic.

Here's what's on XBLA wednesday:
The brilliantly addictive Peggle and Square Enix's Crystal Defenders. Is Crystal Defenders the same as the iPhone game? It was basically Tower Defense with Final Fantasy characters, and rather 'meh'. Might have to pick up Peggle though. Loved that on PC.

Maybe this version will be better.

I'm thinking RE5 might be the 1st RE I won't be buying day 1 since REmake. I definitely plan on getting it sometime soon -probably even this month- but I just bought UT3, Ace Combat 0 and Halo Wars in the past week and I'm enjoying all of them too much to break for anything else. Madworld is a possibility for me sometime soon too, but I'll be waiting for reviews and imp's. The fact that I haven't got a clue about the VC, Wiiware and XBLA offerings this week makes me think I won't be parting with any $.

RE5 is a possibility but I've got such a dang backlog that it won't be a day one purchase for me. Cancelled the pre-order I had for Mad World, waiting for reviews now.

Damn, Trivial Pursuit sounds like the perfect 10-15 buck XBLA release-- especially if it included MP-- but as a more expensive boxed release? I think I'll have to pass.
My lust for RE5 has all but evaporated, so I'll probably pass on that as well.
I do feel like picking up something new to break up my SFIV time, though. Peggle it is!

Could someone tell me what Peggle is? I think I've heard of it, but I've never played. My wife is a huge fan of games like Jewel Quest, Zuma, now she's addicted to Carcassone, and I'm curious if Peggle is worth picking up for her and perhaps I may enjoy it as well.

It's pachinko with a cartoon unicorn. There's a demo for the PC that'll give you an addictive taste.

It's completely unlike Bejeweled or Jewel Quest (or Zuma - although it does shoot a ball out of a cannon-thing), but if your wife likes the addictive quality of those games, she will love Peggle. Honestly, it's as casual as casual gets, but I don't see how anyone could not like it.

My wife easily succumbs to addictive XBLA games, to the point of staying up into the wee hours of the night working toward hard-to-get achievements and subsequently having dreams/nightmares about the games. This sounds like another game she'll really enjoy. It was been quite some time since I was able to call "IN!" on a new game as we've been saving money by working through our existing backlogs, but this may be one we can't pass up. Guess I am going to buy something this week.

You won't regret it. I first sat down with Peggle thinking, "What a ridiculously stupid concept for a game", and finally managed to drag myself away from it about 4 hours later. It's chock full of win.

It's chock full of win. And the price of admission is low enough to not feel guilty about the purchase, and it'll be a nice inexpensive distraction without adding another $60 game to my backlog. The primary problem is that if I walk out of the living room for more than a minute or two, even if I just go to the restroom or work on dinner, by the time I return my wife has already turned on the 360 and started a game regardless of whether I was playing something or watching TV. That bitch is fast. You can't turn your back on her for a second for fear of losing your seat, the TV, and the Xbox. This only gives her something else to play.

I'll probably grab Peggle too, though as a present, not for "my" 360. I'm still having fun in Morrowind, which may well carry me to Sacred 2; if S2 plays as good as it looks, I'll chime in on that the week it is released.
So another vote, technically, por nada.

The XBLA game for this week is NCAA Basketball 09: March Madness Edition, a scaled-down version of the full game.
I'm not sure what happened to this game. Gamespot said it was coming March 11, but it looks like it's not. Given that next week starts the whole "Days of Arcade" thing that will last six weeks, that would put the release of the game off until May.

As I understand it the game will include the 65 teams that are in the tournament. The tournament brackets are revealed on March 15th. So I'm guessing the game will come out next week.
