Smash Bros! Smash Bros! Smash Bros!
PS2: Major League Baseball 2k8 MLB 08: The Show Silent Hill: Origins
PS3: Army of Two Major League Baseball 2k8 MLB 08: The Show
PSP: God of War: Chains of Olympus Major League Baseball 2k8 MLB 08: The Show
360: Army of Two Bully: Scholarship Edition Major League Baseball 2k8
Wii: Bully: Scholarship Edition Major League Baseball 2k8 Ninja Reflex Super Smash Bros Brawl (on Sunday)
DS: Anno 1701: Dawn of Discovery Chicken Hunter Eco Creatures: Save the Forest Mysterious Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer Ninja Reflex Petz Bunnyz
PC: Galactic Command - Echo Squad Imperium Romanum Mysteryville 2 Stranger Tom Clancy's Chronicles Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War: Soulstorm
Smash Bros! Smash Bros! Smash Bros!
But beyond Smash Bros, this week will be a busy one for myself - God of War on the PSP is a must, as is Army of Two (barring some terrible reviews). I guess that's what I get for keeping my wallet closed since the first of the year.
What are you buying this week?

The first big week of 2008 for me. Definitely buying:
Bully -360 MLB 2008 The Show - PS3 MLB 2008 The Show - PSP Army of Two - 360 God of War - PSP Super Smash Brothers Brawl - Wii
I think curiosity will get the best of me and I will at least have to give MLB 2K8 a look, but I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking with The Show as my baseball game of choice.

Army of Two hits this week?
Huh.
Depending on ratings I might get it. Signs point to no right now though.
Oh and if Anno 1701: Dawn of Discovery rates well, I'll be getting that for sure.

So I am guessing that our "What are you buying this week?" threads have a week of Monday-Sunday?
I believe in normal workweeks thank you very much, so yes, Monday-Sunday is my 'week'. That and games generally never launch on Sunday, so I made a quick decision and decided to toss Smash Bros onto this week's list. I'll be watching for a good deal for Smash Bros.
Considering that the Gamecube version still is $30 new (Nintendo decided that since it was selling so well, thats as far as they'd drop it even as a Greatest Hit title), I doubt you'll be finding any deals out there. Of course, now that I've said that, you'll find one today.

FYI: Rock Band content this week - for those of you that don't read the rock band impresshuns thread:
The songs this week are all Grateful Dead master tracks.
“China Cat Sunflower” “Casey Jones” “Sugar Magnolia” “Truckin” “Franklin’s Tower” “I Need A Miracle” These will be available as a pack for 800 MSP (Xbox 360) / $9.99 (PS3), or you can buy them individually for 160 MSP/$1.99.
Pretty psyched for this.

I can always hope that that a fellow GT trader will buy the game from the forum effect not realizing they hate that kind of gameplay and sell it for a good price. On a completely unrelated tangent: You should buy Smash Bros. if you like hex based historical war games!

Three locks:
Smash and God of War plus Bully, but for which system? I'll probably go 360, unless the Wii somehow pulls off better reviews.
I'm interested in Army of Two and Ninja Reflex, but I will await some reviews on those.

Considering buying Smash Bros., but I'm not convinced I'll get enough play to justify it.
Army of Two has me interested, but I'm definitely waiting on reviews.
I was all set to pick up God of War, but the braintrust at Sony decided that the best time to release the God of War themed PSP is four months after the game comes out. I haven't decided if I'm getting that one or not, but I'm sure not getting the game until I've come to a decision. If they both came out today, I'd definitely be getting it now.

Maybe Smash Brothers (or maybe just try out one of the other million copies that will be floating around) and waiting to see reviews for Army of Two.

already got Soulstorm coming.... Army of Two snuck up on me, but I think I'll still wait on Impressions...I want it to be good, but I'm not taking the hit for the game. Bully has caught my eye too, but the rumours of framerate issues in the game has me concerned.

I guess I'll go along with I'm getting Super Smash Bros Brawl this week even though I can't pick up my preorder until next Monday. I didn't know that Silent Hill Origins was coming out for the PS2. If the reviews are good it's a possibility for me, otherwise I'll likely just wait until I eventually get a PSP. Big N seems to be keeping silent about the VC releases this week, which has many folks speculating that it'll will likely be Super Smash Bros 64!

Possibly Army of Two. Haven't completely decided on that yet. Might get God of War for the PSP, but that depends as well. I still have several psp games I haven't touched in a while.

I think I can sacrifice the 360 graphics for the Wii contol scheme: Bully: Scholarship Edition is basically an expanded experience in a few key areas. Most prominent of the changes Wii owners will find is the revamped control scheme, which actually works very well, and makes fighting (like Wii's Godfather: Blackhand Edition) extremely fun and engaging. Rather than button mashing to fight, a quick shake of the nunchuk or Wii remote will throw left and right hand punches respectively. Grabs are handled by holding Z and pushing forward with your left hand – at which point you can shove them with another nunchuk shove, or deliver punches with the remote – and the classic humiliation finishing moves are now all motion-activated, similar to a PG-13 Manhunt 2 scheme.

I only had enough time for a brief glance at the IGN review, but damn those controls do sound good. I won't be picking this up this week, but when I do I'll definitely be going with the Wii version.

Nothing for me. In the past week I've picked up a PSP, Daxter, Patapon, Mega Man Powered Up, Lumines, and Tekken. Oh, and Viva Pinata Party Animals and PGR4 for the 360.
I'll get God of War: Chains of Olympus once it goes on sale. I'll check out the Rocketman game on XBLA too, it looks pretty cool.
