I loved these threads that Destructor used to make - and I miss them so HARD I felt like I needed to bring it back, for this special week of game releases.
And the other thread is about the validity of whether or not this week is the greatest week of releases of ALL-TIME, not what everyone will be buying. SO, now to the rundown of stuff (as taken from GameFaqs & EBGames; not sure of how up-to-date their release dates are):
PC The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Collector's Edition, Crime Stories, The Godfather, Game Tycoon, SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars, True Crime: New York City
Xbox 360 The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Collector's Edition, Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
Xbox Kao the Kangaroo Round 2, The Godfather, The Godfather (Limited Edition), Monster 4X4: World Circuit
PS2 Kao the Kangaroo Round 2, River King: A Wonderful Journey, Suikoden V, The Godfather, The Godfather (Limited Edition), Warship Gunner 2
GameCube Kao the Kangaroo Round 2
PSP World Poker Tour, Go! Sudoku, Kao Challengers, Me and My Katamari, Metal Gear Ac!d 2, Splinter Cell Essentials, Capcom Classics Collection Remixed, Viewtiful Joe VFX Battle, Worms: Open Warfare
DS Metroid Prime: Hunters, Tetris DS, Tao's Adventure: Curse of the Demon Seal, Worms: Open Warfare
GBA Dragon Ball: Buu and Transformation 2 Pack, The Tower SP, Catz
I'd probably put my accuracy of this list at 75%, but for the most part, the big titles are in there.
SO, what's everyone going to purchase?
I'm going to pick up the regular edition of Oblivion and that's it. Just don't have the funds for Tetris DS or Metroid Prime: Hunters. Gotta check out the buzz on Blazing Angels, and as much as I want to grab Worms for the DS, no online play makes it worthless.

yup theres an absolute world of stuff coming out - im tempted by the godfather, blazing angels. i want to snag oblivion, but im on the fence (ah hahahahahaha! - thats a lie ) the ds is what has my attention though (oblivion aside). ive wanted taos adventure pretty badly and was almost 100% going to pick it up - but with the wifi im sort of tempted by metroid which really wasnt appealing to me before - but... well gunning with whoever else snags it is pretty tempting

I'm in for Oblivion for both the PC and Xbox 360 and Blazing Angels. Same for me, I like the look of Blazing Angels and canceled my pre-order of The Outfit so I could get BA instead.

Just Oblivion this week. Metal Gear Acid 2 will follow in a week or two but my PSP is currently dominated by Daxter and Syphon Filter. Metroid Hunters I'll almost certainly pick up down the road as well.

I loved these threads that Destructor used to make - and I miss them so HARD I felt like I needed to bring it back, for this special week of game releases. Apparently I need to do this once again. Didn't know I was so appreciated. As for the topic: Oblivion for the PC. Since my PC can most definitely run it, mods are the deciding factor. Hell - there are still mods being released today for Morrowind, at least 3 years after release.

I'm frighteningly dangerously close to buying parts for a new PC and getting Oblivion this week, even though I know full well that I should wait until the GOTY edition with all the expansions, mods and patches and until I have a 5 GHz machine to run it on.
I'm kind of stupid that way.
Suikoden V is coming out this week too? I'm still working on the original. Guess I'd better get playing.

Oblivion, Metroid, and Tetris, definitely. I still can't tell if Metal Gear Acid 2 is coming out this week or next. I have my eye on Katamari and Splinter Cell as well. March has been insane for game releases (I think it was worse than Christmas). Luckily April cools down some so maybe I will pick up a couple of the releases in the next couple of weeks that I might skip at that time.

Oblivion for the 360 and Tetris for the DS. I'll also pick up Worms for the DS but I don't think it's due out for a while.

I'll be getting Suikoden V. I wish I could get Oblivion for the PC, but I'm not going to risk it not running on my PC without a demo. I do plan to get a 360 someday, so hopefully it will be a Platinum Hit by then

Since I didn't pre-order anything ... maybe nothing? Well not until the big box retailers get stuff in. I'd like Tetris. If I had a 360 I'd pick up Oblivion.
Glad the list is back!

i'll be picking up Oblivion:CE for the 360. while i'd like to have it for PC, i can't justify the cost of a video card upgrade just to play it right now...at least not when i have a 360 that will run it beautifully...

Oblivion: CE for the 360, assuming Gamestop/EB is still running the 'trade 2 360 games for 1' deal.

I'm waiting for more info about Splinter Cell Essentials. Me and My Katamari looks fun too, but the controls are going to be odd (apparently you use the two both digital imputs to control). Metal Gear Acid 2 will have to wait until I finish the first one.
I probably would've bought Worms, but I learned it doesn't have wifi internet play. BIG mistake.

Waiting on the non-asskissing Oblibion reviews.
Waiting on any kind of Metroid Prime Hunters reviews.
Tetris DS -- no, Tetris SS (single-screen) came free on my cellphone, thanks though.
Worms -- the fuckwits didn't include multiplayer, so NOPE.
Spellforce 2 -- only if it gets godly reviews.
Suikoden V -- only if it gets godly reviews.
Rest suck.
