Another week, another list with games to buy. What are you buying this week?

PS2:
AR tonelico: Melody of Elemia
MVP 07 NCAA Baseball
Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

PS3:
(next 2/20)

PSP:
Capcom Puzzle World
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

360:
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

Cube:
(next 4/3?)

Wii:
(next 2/27)

GBA:
Final Fantasy VI Advance

DS:
Diddy Kong Racing
Lunar Knights
Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007

PC:
Galactic Civilizations II Gold
Lucinda Green's Equestrian Challenge
The Sims: Life Stories
Sam & Max Episode 3: The Mole, The Mob and the Meatball
UFO: Afterlight
War Rock

As for me, I'll be celebrating the end of yet another console generation by buying the last GBA game to be released in the US (that I can tell, anyway) - Final Fantasy VI. What a way to go out, eh?

Busy week for me.  I'll definitely be grabbing Final Fantasy 6 Advance and Lunar Knights.  Anyone who is a fan of Zelda games owes it to themselves to pick up Lunar Knights, which is a sequel to the Boktai games only now the sun sensor is no longer required.  The Boktai games were some of the best Zelda clones on the market and it sounds like Lunar Knights lives up to that standard.

I also want Diddy Kong Racing but I will probably hold off for a little while.

Maybe ROTK XI.  Haven't really heard anything about it to make my decision on.

Final Fantasy VI for sure, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms pending some impressions.

edit: Oh, and Super Mario World for the Wii.  Can't resist it.

Debating whether I want to get Final Fantasy VI or not.  I've already got it on PS1, so I'm not sure if it's worth picking up for the DS as well.  Would be nice to play without the ungodly load times, though.

If you've never played it then by all means grab it for the GBA.  The load times on the PS1 version really are excruciating and can mar what is otherwise a superlative experience.

Diddy Kong Racing is a lot of fun, and has received quite a bit of single and multiplayer time over the last week here.
I don't generally care for kart racers and didn't like Mario Kart at all, but have played this one a fair bit.
It seems to me that the game offers much more variety than Mario Kart.

I've gotten about 3 hours in on two separate occasions, and never played any further.  Maybe if I have it in a portable format, it'll keep my attention better.

If other portable RPGs have kept your attention then I think FF6 definitely would.

Thankfully nothing for me this week-  actually it'll probably be nothing new until Crackdown comes out.  Thank the gods as I'm already having trouble dividing time between Vanguard and Rogue Galaxy.

MVP 07 NCAA Baseball (PS2)
I had a blast playing the 06 version on the Xbox.  Can't wait to take the Scarlet Knights through another college season.  Why no Xbox version though?

Rogue Galaxy (PS2)
My type of game.

All this PS2 goodness thanks to my brother giving me his PS2!!!!  Thanks Bro!

Guys, if you're into JRPGs, you owe it to yourself to get Ar Tonelico.  I'm working on the review right now.

As far as ROTKXI?  If you liked previous versions, sure.  If you're not ready to get over your head in strategy....eh.

If I had a 360, I'd get Winning Eleven.  I don't think I want to get the PS2 version.

Nothing for me this week. I'd like FFVI but I can't justify buyig it seeing that I already own the Final Fantasy Anthology collection. I might buy it used or I might see if Circuit City discounts it like they did FFIV.

Well, if you didn't see my preview back on New Year's, it's basically very indepth, with good writing and story.  The voice acting is okay, there's a lot of sub quests and such as well.

I'm giving FF6 a pass for now.  I just played through the original again about 8 months ago (I kept hearing how the translated Japanese version was better, but I didn't notice much difference).

I *did* recently read something from Squenix about Chrono Trigger, however: it seems a lot of the people who created the game actually had rights regarding the game (some sort of equity in it), but many of those people no longer work there.  Now in that regard, nothing was said about whether Squenix is not persuing it because of that fact, or whether one or more of those people did not want a remake done.

Wii:
(next 2/27)
Wii Play hits 2/12 if I'm not mistaken.
And isn't Sonic 2/20?

Hitting EB (where I go to check on the 'next on X' dates), Sonic has been pushed back to 2/27, and Wii Play has vanished for some reason (it might be because you can't preorder it from any EB/Gamestop anymore). So as far as my sources go, I'm more or less right.  icon_biggrin

Nada thing.

Gonna try to finish up COD2 this week.  Then I'll have just BFME2 sitting around.  The time is prime for a 360 game, but there's nothing I GOTTA have.

Also wanna play through some of my neglected pS2 titles...I haven't touched the system since October except for GHII.

Whenever I get a Bonus Check, like this week, it plants a seed in my head to go be a good consumer. I just started dreaming about a Playstation 3 and how I can play my PS2 games on it...

I think I will just cannibalize those thoughts and just plug through what I own for now.

That might change before the 18th because that's when the Gamestop trade in coupon expires...

The trick with PW is pacing.  I let a month go by at least between episodes.  Except when I cranked through the last two eps of the first game to prepare for the second.  Now I'm so burnt out, I doubt I'll start the second for at least a month.

just got my deluxe nis version, & am listening to the (as usual) very good soundtrack now - not sure i'm ready to dig in right away, but it sounded 'different' enough, according to your preview & other stuff i've read, to make me want to check it out rather than, say, rogue galaxy...
