Another week, another set of 'wonderful' releases like 'My Horse and Me':

PS2:
Innocent Life: A Futuristic Harvest Moon
Jumper

PS3:
Conflict: Denied Ops

PSP:
Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of the Ancient Arts
Wipeout Pulse

360:
Conflict: Denied Ops
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements
Jumper
Lost Odyssey

Wii:
Jumper

DS:
Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of the Ancient Arts
Professor Layton and the Curious Village

PC
Conflict: Denied Ops
My Horse and Me
Penubmra: Black Plague
RPG Maker VX
Sam and Max Episode 203: Night of the Raving Dead
XIII Century: Death or Glory

To buy Lost Odyssey or not to buy Lost Odyssey...that is the question. And one that I'll resolve once a few of you buy it first. biggrin

What are you buying this week?

Is "My Horse and Me" a DS game? Sure sounds like it.

Lost Odyssey- I'm placing my vote for more JRPGs on the Xbox 360.
RPG Maker XV- I'm considering this "game". It actually looks very cool and reminds me of my old favorites such as Suikoden 2 and the earlier Final Fantasy games. I've always wanted to build my own RPG.

I'm going to buy Sins of A Solar Empire from last week.  Nothing on this week's list interests me though.

Lost Odyssey (X360)
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic Elements (X360)

I'm super excited about both of these games.  Loved the demo for Dark Messiah and I love Japanese RPGs.  I cannot wait to play these.

Shit, didn't realize Wipeout Pulse was coming out this week.  Online multiplayer plus the ability to play custom music off the memory stick (even if the music has always been good) for $29.99 is good enough for me biggrin

Might go for Pulse as well... though, I'm not sure if I should skip this and get Wipeout HD for the PS3 when it comes out... or, yeah, both...

Bought too much last week, and now that I have my 360 back, I finally get to play the games I bought last November, so Lost Odyssey will have to wait.

I may grab Prof Layton at some point soon though.

nothing this week.  Some older 360 games are finally hitting sub 20 bucks for the used versions (like Transformers and Pirates of the Carribean) so I may pick up those.

I'm in on the Lost Odyssey to buy or not to buy debate, too.  I've been back and forth so many times...

I'm almost for sure getting Dark Messiah of Might and Magic: Elements, though.  However, it pisses me off that there are levels and characters to unlock for MS points already on XBLM.

I may be getting Discs of Tron for XBLA this week.  For some reason, I loved that game in the arcades as a kid.

I'm done with Virtual Console games, but Lords of Thunder and Harvest Moon are out today.

Professor Layton and the Curious Village is the game I'm most looking forward to this week.

But the ITEM I'm most excited about is the Rock Band Drum Kit!!!!

Still very much playing Sins of a Solar Empire.  A kind friend just gave me a copy of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.  Lost Odyssey is on my list, but I have yet to actually finish Mass Effect....

So basically, I have no plans to get anything at the moment... we'll see when wednesday rolls around.

DMoMM Elements is tempting, but I'm going to hold off for a while. Good to see that this weeks VC releases make up some grond for last weeks poor offerings.

So it looks like nothing this week.

I'll pick that (and Culdcept) up next month with my tax return. FWIW I saw the Rock Band microphone in Best Buy this weekend for $49.99. That was the first time I had seen it on store shelves as a single item.

As far as the VC titles go:

Lords of Thunder - TurboGrafx 16, 800 points
Lords of Thunder is a side-scrolling shooter that has you take on the role of a legendary warrior, blasting enemies to heavy-metal tunes. Your enemies are plotting to revive Zaggart, “The Dark One,” who was sealed beneath the six continents of Mistral. It’s up to Landis, descendant of the heroic Dyu, to stop them. Choose the order in which to attack the six stages. Before each stage, select one of four magic armors and use crystals you’ve collected during your battles to buy items. Selecting the right armor for each stage is the key to your ultimate victory. Then get ready to face awesome enemies like a fire-spewing sea serpent or a giant insect.

Harvest Moon - SNES, 800 points
You bought the farm, so now it’s time to roll up your sleeves and try living off the fat of the land. Fresh air and the beauty of the outdoors will be fulfilling, but a successful farm needs a lot of working capital as well. There are buildings on your property, but they are in need of livestock. You have a modest house, but if things get lonely in the field, it’s going to take a remodel to woo a female farming companion. Your challenge is to dig in and build your life as a farmer from the ground up. How you manage will determine the outcome, but remember: You always reap what you sow.

About time we got some decent VC titles. Lords of Thunder rocked for its time.
