I have NMH paid in full. It's a shame that it won't sell, but I'll play it and be happy.

Add Endless Ocean to my list as well. I think my son would love it, so I will pick it up.

while i was far from impressed by the Burnout demo, i could be tempted into picking up the game if reviews and impressions around here are positive enough. oh wait...that's what i was thinking before my 360 died over the weekend...

This is one of the one or two weeks a year that I will begrudgingly pay full price for a game - Burnout for the 360 so I can play with my old college buddies.

I may also be getting Furu Furu Park, which was supposed to come last week.
Is that multi platform? I saw it listed at the local game store yesterday but it didn't have a platform listed next to the title. It's for the Wii.

Burnout was a day 1 purchase, but now I may hold off because Pirates of the Burning Seas is eating up all my time.

not getting burnout. Dunno what Ron is sending me. I've got too many mediocre games on my shelf that need to be played.

I should be receiving Pacific Storm: Allies this week from Amazon. I love the pacific theater during WWII. I've been waiting for a computer game that does this justice in the vein of the old boardgames Flat Top and Axis & Allies.

Against my better judgement, I might be going with PotBS. I don't know if I'll find any worth in it for $15 a month, so who knows how long it will last. It was enjoyable, but I thought the same thing about Motor City Online... I'm interested in Pirates, too, but not sure if it'll work on my laptop. Is there a fee?
Depends on the laptop. Grr...Amazon's delayed all three games I ordered this week. They told me yesterday that No More Heroes should now be arriving Friday instead of Thursday. Today I got an email saying that Advance Wars will be arriving Monday and Endless Ocean on Tuesday, instead of getting both tomorrow.
I think I may not be pre-ordering any more games from Amazon. OTOH, it's not like I'm hurting for things to do at the moment, but still.

Pricing Structure 1 month subscription: $14.99 3 month subscription: $41.99 6 month subscription: $77.99 12 month subscription: $143 On a side note, I cannot even begin to wrap my brain around this concept. Pay $50 for a game, then $143 per year to play it. Insanity. Another topic for another time, I suppose.

I just went to a local EB and was told that No More Hero's Canadian release date has been pushed back to Feb. 1st. I thought I'd preorder just in case and the sales clerk commented that 18 other people preordered in their store today alone. That surprised me as I really didn't think the game would have that kind of interest.

If we're going by when (I think) Ultima Online released and started kicking off the modern era of subscription-based games.

Yeah, you're about ten years behind the curve on this one. If we're going by when (I think) Ultima Online released and started kicking off the modern era of subscription-based games. I know it's been around forever, I just don't understand it at all. Guess the 10 million WoW subscribers certainly prove I'm in the minority, eh? If it helps any, sometimes I question why I'm willing to do sub-based games myself.
