Your random tidbit this week: In all my years of doing this, I've never seen so many active consoles at once. I mean, think about it for a moment - there's 3 Sony consoles and 4 Nintendo consoles all getting weekly releases (more or less - the PSP, Wii, and DS are quickly dying down).
Crazy stuff.
PS3: Karateka Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Under Defeat HD
PSP:
PSV: Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault
360:
Wii:
Wii U: Cloudberry Kingdom
DS: Invasion of the Alien Blobs!
3DS: Aero Porter Classic Games Overload: Card and Puzzle Edition Jett Tailfin
PC: Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition EverQuest: Rain of Fear Frozen Hearth Karateka Miner Wars 2081
What a weirdly quiet week considering that Christmas is just around the corner. Anyhow, what are you buying this week?

Probably Aero Porter for 3DS. Also, I'm hoping LEGO Lord of The Rings finally gets released for PC this week.

I'll be looking at reviews for the Baldurs Gate thingie - If it pans out, awesome - I'm in day one, but I'm concerned its not better than Bigmod for the original.

or the Holiday sale which starts December 20th as for me, going to keep an eye on the reviews for Baldurs Gate Enhanced, if they're good that and Miner Wars 2081 will be eventual purchases.

If I get the sense that Karateka in some way recaptures what made the first one fun, then that. If it's a wild departure, then meh.

The impression I got from reviews is that it's not a wild departure, but it's still meh. GameRankings

Probably the Baldur's Gate revamp, but I'm not sure if I want to do it on PC or iPad yet. An iPad version would be cool, but for two things:
1. I've tried a couple similar text-heavy RPG's on iPad (i.e. Avadon), and find the UI to be very challenging to use. My eyes are also pretty bad, and I have a hard time reading really small text. That could be an issue on the mobile version.
2. While I absolutely love the story, characters, world, and artwork, the combat is my least favorite part of these games. In fact, the only reason I was able to get through BGII on PC was through liberal use of cheat codes. I'm guessing the iPad version won't have that, which may be a reason to stick with PC.
Will wait and see what the feedback is, but my guess is that I'll end up with it on PC.

Definitely Baldur's Gate. I'm leaning towards the iOS version for the novelty of being able to play a pedigreed CRPG of such scope while laying on my back on the couch and tossing potato chips into my maw like a wheat thresher on harvest day.

I thought about getting Ratchet & Clank since it can be played on both PS3 and Vita, but I guess the Vita version won't be out until January anyway so I may just wait.

Baldur's Gate EE for both PC and iPad (if the reviews are positive). I would love to be able to play Baldur's Gate on my iPad while I'm traveling. Hopefully it's good. I will definitely get Farcry 3 at some point...possibly in December.

If I could cloud save my iPad and PC games, Baldur's Gate would be an insta-buy for both platforms.

Well, this week I finally get to enjoy the original Baldur's Gate. Somehow I missed all the Black Isle games except Planescape Torment.

I've heard warnings about Ratchet & Clank, sadly. But BG is downloading now.
