The only thing I'm planning on grabbing is FF III for my DS - been waiting for a solid RPG for a while now on my handheld.  thumbsup

Making my best effort to pick up a Wii and Zelda this weekend, though if successful they will be going under the tree and awaiting Christmas to be opened.  Rayman is a definite for the Christmas List and Excitetruck, Trauma Center 2, and Red Steel are all possible list additions to depending on reviews/impressions.

Final Fantasy 3 is definite, but I don't know if I will go ahead and get it (no time for it now though) or just put it on my Christmas list.  I'm undecided on Yoshi's Island DS, though it will probably just go on my Christmas List and if I get it, great, if not oh well.

Gothic 3 I bought last week from GoGamer's 48 hour madness sale, so I already have it.

Warhammer: Battle of Atluma, Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, Yu-gi-oh GX Tag Force, and Final Fantasy III.

because, ya know....I just got done reviewing Dark Crusade, and I need a break from Warhammer 40K. smile  Need for Speed Carbon has been calling to me though.  I've been tempted to pick it up.

FYI, Kevin, Trauma Center, from what I've heard, isn't a completely new game. There are some new things added to it, but I think most of it is the same. My Nintendo rep thinks it is a must have. When I told her I hadn't bought it on ds because of the difficulty, she said it was easier on a larger screen. I'm waiting to hear some reviews too.

Heh, well that's okay since I haven't played the DS version.  Reports of the difficulty scared me off as well, so I'm hoping that maybe the Wii will be a tad easier icon_smile

Maybe Gothic 3, but only if it's accessible to someone who hasn't played the first 2 and doesn't know the backstory.

I agree with Ron - My wallet cries out in pain.

I also agree with Coop - Too much to play already.

But not buying MTW:2 would be some sort of mortal sin, so I will be getting that.

I think it's pretty standalone.  There are a few references to the previous games (and a couple of returning characters), but I think you'll be fine.

Well, well, well.  Absolutely drenching week.

I'm picking up Tony Hawk Project 8 and Viva Pinata, both from last week.  This week I'm also getting Final Fantasy III (DS) and the following Wii games that are already paid off:  Red Steel, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz & Madden 2007.  Then on this coming Sunday I will have both the Wii and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.  In addition, I'm picking up a second Wii for my son.  The one I have preordered and paid off is mine.  Plus, I'm getting two extra Wii remotes/nunchuck combo's this week as well.  Whew.  nod

On top of all this I'm currently enthralled with Enchanted Arms and both NHL 2007 & NHL 2K7

To the best of my memory I cannot remember another time when there were so many good games released at the same time.  Exciting isn't it?  icon_biggrin

definitely getting WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2007 for PS2.

still deciding whether I'll be picking up a Wii (holding of on PS3 until next year).  I probably wn't make that decision until Saturday night.  If I do, I'll likely get Marvel Ultimate Alliance with it...

The Wii version is supposed to have three different difficulty options. Trauma Center on the DS is the only game I've ever given up on because of difficulty. I got to the final operation and decided that I was literally incapable of ever beating it. I firmly believe that this game is harder than Ninja Gaiden on hard mode.

I just picked up lumines 2 and final fantasy 5 over the weekend, so those should keep me busy for a little bit.  Eventually I want Thrillville, EA Replay, and Sega Genesis Collection for the psp if they have good word of mouth.  I also will probably get a wii at some point, if the word of mouth on that one is good and it gets some more games and virtual games I want.

I bought Total War: Eras and have yet to play a single one, so until I'm done with that I'm holding off on games like that.  I read a review of FF3 and was a little scared the way they mentioned no in-dungeon saves, I like having saves handy and just *hate* long stretches and gauntlets where I have to worry about having to redo(and don't get me started on limited numbers of saves ala Resident Evil typewriter ribbons and all.)

Well a PS3 (due to a friends kid changing his Christmas wish over to a Wii instead so I get his pre-order) and perhaps a Wii if they are easy to find.  Surprisingly not many PS3 titles excite me probably since I'm playing GoW and CoD3 on the 360 but I may get another shooter with Resistance.  Ridge Racer could end up in the mix as well.  If I had known I had a PS-3 I probably would have gotten Tony Hawk 8 for it but that is in the mail for the 360 atm.  Sheesh what a backorder of games.  Truth be told I need to read up on the PS-3's launch titles as I wasn't expecting to get on and so I'm unsure of what I might desire.  If I find a Wii then Zelda will be added to the mix.  I don't think I have enough inputs on my tv for all these things.

No, it's not exciting at all. Really fucking annoying is more like it. I can't buy and play the games I want to because developers all believe that you must release all of your good games at this time of the year.

Well, that one is sort of a no-win situation, since the PS3 has the tilt available for grinds and tricks, but the 360 is the one with the online portion.

As for me, I'm not picking up anything this week other than Christmas gifts for my family.

PC:
Gothic III  - (My son might possibly pick this up. depends, it has to come in under $39)
Heroes of Annihilated Empires (Unlikely unless it is $19)
Heroes of Might and Magic V: Hammers of Fate (Possibility, but the main game isn't grabbing us like we thought it would)
Warhammer: Mark of Chaos (Remote chance)

Not a big week, thankfully.   1701 A.D. Arrived today, that and my existing games, I should be gold for awhile.
