I'm due a game from Gamefly, and I have both the Sly Collection and Black Ops in my queue, so it'll be a toss up which one gets here.  If I see it I'll be grabbing a copy of Goldeneye for the Wii.

Finally, nothing for me this week.  For those wondering, the PS3 "ESA Game Pack" is a bundle containing the first Uncharted, Tomb Raider : Underworld, and Mercenaries 2 for $30.  That's a great deal if you don't own any of the games.

The big news this week for Nintendo DLC was Gods vs Humans, but initial impressions online are kind of meh.

WiiWare

Some of them want to enter your domain, and they've decided to build a tower to confront you. Use your divine powers to bring them down and show them who's boss. Be careful not to hurt them, though – you need people to believe in you. There are 16 playable gods with distinctive powers, four hysterical bosses to defeat, 16 additional challenges for experienced players, 60 levels for the solo campaign and a special split-screen two-player mode.
Mix Superstar

You can also use the WiiConnect24™ system to send songs to your Wii Friends and even collaborate on mixes. The game includes full support for both the Logitech USB Microphone and Wii Speak™ accessory (each sold separately) so you can lay down your own vocals. The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Pay & Play service even allows you to enhance your music creation experience with additional loop packs from a variety of genres. Go on and make some noise!

Definitely getting The Sly Collection, the kids and I are looking forward to playing all three games again.  Black Ops sounds interesting, but I think Call of Duty hit it's peak with Modern Warfare.

Nothing this week. The Call of Duty franchise can die a painful death for all I care (and it probably will too. Thank you Activision!). The last game in the series was just insulting to a fan of good single player shooters.

I didn't realize Majesty 2 was getting another expansion.  I'll have to see what it brings.  But as for buying, nothing for me this week.  Have to save up for both the kids Christmas, and the Steam Holiday Sale smile

I'll have to dig up some info on that one as well.  I wasn't crazy about the base game because the scripted scenarios all felt far too puzzle-y for my tastes.  I.E.  If you didn't build a specific building at a specific time during the mission, you'd end up losing.  Of course, you wouldn't realize it until 30 minutes later, which only added to the frustration.

If they built in some more free-exploration scenarios or a sandbox mode (doubtful...I remember them saying it couldn't be done with that engine), I'd love to give it another shot.  The original Majesty is one of my all-time favorite games.

I haven't posted in one of these threads for a long time.

But thanks to Hark's sales pitch and general peer pressure to be involved in the Black Ops MP craze, I'll be picking up Call of Duty: Black Ops.  At least I'll have a few weeks before my wife finds out (she doesn't return to the States until the 20th).  But then I'm screwed.

I get out of class at 3pm, so I'll be picking it up on my way home and spending the rest of the day having my ass handed to me.

I had the Sly Collection on pre-order at Amazon, but cancelled it to get in on the MoH deal last week.  I'll probably put it on my Christmas list.

Waiting on CoD reviews/hands on impressions, but I'm sure I'll get that eventually as well.

Black Ops tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing if I can kick the butts of the bots, as I am less than sanguine about my chances versus 7-year olds who's parents got them a pre-release copy off craigslist.

CoD Black Ops if reviews and impressions are favorable. As per usual I'll get the most mileage out of it by way of the SP and co-op campaigns, so if I don't read about a decent story it a no go.
