First!
Nothing for me this week as late October continues to loom large.
Fracture, if it gets overwhelming reviews, might get a look.
However, I haven't bought a game in a very long time...I see no need to crack now that the promise land is almost here.

Nothing off the current list, though I'm still waiting for reviews of the new Harvest Moon game that was released last week on the Wii. I might also point out that CAG is reporting that next week will be Toys 'R Us' Buy 2, Get 1 Free sale on console games for every platform. Even if I were inclined to buy something this week, I think I'd wait an extra few days to take advantage of that deal. -Autistic Angel

Some Rock Band DLC and maybe Brothers In Arms HH from Steam. Just bought Mount & Blade 1.03 yesterday, and I'm loving that.

That NBA2k9 demo sure was fun-- I must have played it 7 or 8 times this weekend-- but with all the upcoming goodness, I don't think I have time to invest starting another virtual sports franchise.

Wii VC this week is Mario Golf and Shining Force II. Wiiware has Midnight Bowling and MadStone. Also, the Mega Man 9 DLC is up.
For me a pass this week. I was thinking of Fracture, but reviews have not been kind. I may pick up Lego Batman, if my 360's problem is just the video cable. Otherwise, I'll wait until it's back from repairs.

Well, for the 360 it's a busy season, isn't it?
September 23rd - Baja:Edge of Control - Darn good game, add ten points to the review scores to counter review bias against lack of NASCAR involvement.
October 7th - Brothers In Arms - Hell's Highway - Passed on this, although it was a near run thing. Am I missing out on something good for the 360?
October 14th - Saint's Row 2 - Oh yeah baby!
October 21st - Far Cry 2 - On vacation part of the week, but still a Day One grab for me.
October 26th - Guitar Hero World Tour - They still making those plastic guitars?
October 28th - Fallout 3 - The vault opens on day one as well.
November 11th - Mirror's Edge - I like the novelty of it, I might pick it up.
November 13th- WoW Wrath of the Lich King - I know it's for the PC, but just to say, I played WoW for about eleven days and walked away. The three of us on the planet who did this hold semi-annual conventions.
November 20th - Left 4 Dead - More like Left 4 Broke. Still, might get this. What's not to like about killing zombies?

Those are 2 very decent releases for VC this week. Shining Force II is one of the few Genesis RPG's not available on the gametap service, so I might just download it. I thought the prequel was excellent and from what I've been told the sequel is every bit as good if not better. I remember playing Mario Golf on the N64 and although it had a few problems it was still a lot of fun and a very good game. With Fable II and Fallout 3 so close, I doubt I'll be buying anything this week. I also have way too many unfinished games and the PC flight sim bug has recently bitten me again.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way, it's kind of like watching Disney movies which still have that certain charm. I may be picking up Crash as well.

Yeah, your wallet is fortunate. What happens with me though, is some games fall off my 'must buy' list, and new surprises make it on the list. I had no intentions of buying Mount & Blade until yesterday, and today King's Bounty gets added to my buy list.

My list for the rest of the year: Resistance 2 Gears 2 (2 copies) Guitar Hero World Tour Left For Dead (2 copies) In addition I'll probably buy tons of RB/GH DLC between now and the end of the year. But considering the wallet carnage of last fall, I feel pretty fortunate.

People argue which is the best SF game - either II on the Genesis, or the Sega CD version. I preferred SFII, simply because it loaded up faster (the CD access time as we all know wasn't that great on the Sega CD). But both are absolutely fantastic (for the time) TBS titles.
