Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for the PC, Demon Souls for the PS3 will either be a Gamefly rental or an used purchase from Gamestop  icon_biggrin

Demon's Souls was imported already, so nothing for me this week.

Since I finished up Wet and the campaign for Halo ODSTD, I decided to re-sub to WoW for a while to tide me over until Brutal Legend.

As I inadvertently hijacked last week's thread with Demon's Souls talk, I am still buying it this week! Deluxe version locked and loaded from amazon, will be here tuesday with release day delivery courtesy of prime. So pumped!

Any recommendations on a caster type from our fellow importers?

The only sure thing for me is Wii Fit PlusAfrika is very likely, too.

I didn't realize A Boy and his Blob was coming this week. I may be in for that, too.

And, even though the difficulty goes against my nature, I'm very intrigued by Demon's Souls.

I have some interest in A Witch's Tale and Operation Flashpoint as well, but I won't be getting everything.

Only 3 this week, but one of them is kind of exciting.

WiiWare
Word Searcher
Publisher: Digital Leisure Inc.
Players: 1
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone)
Price: 500 Wii Points
Quote
You'll need a sharp eye and a quick mind to complete 100 themed word-search puzzles. Word Searcher contains fun words from multiple categories including anatomy, world cities and U.S. presidents. With a huge assortment of subjects to choose from, there's sure to be a puzzle for everyone to enjoy. Help improve your vocabulary, memory and problem-solving skills with these engaging puzzles. Track and try to beat your own play-through times again and again—words are scrambled every time you play.

Virtual Console
FINAL FANTASY
Original platform: NES
Publisher: SQUARE ENIX
Players: 1
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone) - Mild Fantasy Violence
Price: 500 Wii Points
Quote
The world lies shrouded in darkness. The winds die. The sea rages. The earth decays. But the people believe in a prophecy, patiently awaiting its fulfillment. "When darkness veils the earth, four Warriors of Light shall come...." After a long journey, four young travelers did at last appear, and in the hand of each was clutched a crystal.

Nintendo DSiWare
Thorium Wars
Publisher: Big John Games
Players: 1
ESRB Rating: E10+ (Everyone 10 and Older) - Fantasy Violence
Price: 1,000 Nintendo DSi Points
Quote
In Thorium Wars, you must stop the Thorions, a super species of Thorium-based machines, from destroying mankind. Blast through waves of Thorions by controlling an arsenal of tanks, skyfighters, hovercrafts, gunboats and starfighters with either the standard or touch-screen controls. In 12 exciting missions, navigate through a variety of combat environments while viewing 360 degrees of the battlefield, fully rendered in 3-D. Toggle between first- and third-person views to destroy the terrifying army of Thorium beasts, from swarms of Redeye Drones to the bone-crushing Manticore Walker. This man-versus-machine battle proves to be the ultimate test for the survival of the fittest.

The original FF!  I played it relatively recently, or I'd be in.

I was just eyeing some nice looking screenshots, too.  The video makes it even more impressive.  Still going to wait on reviews, but it does look nice.

This might be the fourth (yes, fourth) time I snag Final Fantasy 1...

I have a factory-sealed original release NES cart of it
The PS1 Final Fantasy Collection release (that came with FF2 as well)
The Dawn of Souls GBA release (also included FF2)
And just to have the original-original, I might just snag it on the Virtual Console.

The only release I'm missing is the PSP remake, which is on my Gamefly Queue.

I may be a little crazy, but FF1 is, in many ways, the Lord of the Rings of jRPG's (and Dragon Quest 1 is, in this analogy, The Hobbit).

Op Flash 2.  Not sure what platform, maybe 360.  I can't seem to get into FPS on PCs these days for some reason.

Afrika, kind of curious about it.  Probably won't get it though unless reviews/impressions are really positive.

Might give Operation Flashpoint a look when/if there's a 360 demo available.  My machine is pretty dead for any strenuous gaming, as I think my video card is dying a slow death.

But unless it blows me away, I'm likely out of shooters until CoD:MW2 comes out.

I had no idea Motorstorm was coming to the PS2. If reviews are favorable I might go for it since it's selling for cheap. Operation Flash Point has piqued my interest, if reviews are favorable I might trade-in for it. Id say I'm in for Final Fantasy, but I already have my share of excellent, but not finished, VC RPG's.

hoping i can get opflash 2 via gamefly, but that's a pretty slim chance as i inadvertently kept one of my rentals late thinking opflash was next week.  doh!

in any case, i want to hear how it fairs on the console anyways as ArmA 2 didn't get me addicted like i was hoping it would.

Nothing new, but I finally grabbed Scribblenauts - and I've been playing it a lot, and liking it a lot.  It produces an interesting mix of feelings - I'm totally brilliant one minute... and the next, well, not so brilliant.  Besides, "they" say that it is good for you to challenge your brain with games like this, so "they" will be happy now.   nod

I actually haven't played Star Ocean 4 for two whole days - now that is saying something!  icon_eek

Yeah, I was in my local EB yesterday and they mentioned that to me. I guess they didn't want to compete with Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend next week.
