Another week, a whole shitton of releases worth getting. So, what are you buying this week?

PS2:
ATV Off Road Fury 4
Drive to Survive
Final Fantasy XII
Need for Speed Carbon
Victorious Boxers 2: Fighting Spirit

PSP:
BattleZone
Death Jr. 2: Root of Evil
Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony
Killzone: Liberation
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Lumines II
Mind Quiz
Need for Speed Carbon
Power Stone Collection
Rush

Xbox:
Drive to Survive
Lawnmower Racing Mania 2007
Need for Speed Carbon

360:
F.E.A.R.
FIFA 07
Need for Speed Carbon
World Championship Poker: All In

Cube:
Need for Speed Carbon

DS:
Children of Mana
Need for Speed Carbon
Pokemon Ranger
The Sims 2: Pets
Tom and Jerry Tales

GBA:
Need for Speed Carbon
The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy
Tom and Jerry Tales

PC:
1701 A.D.
The Secret Files: Tunguska
Need for Speed Carbon
Neverwinter Nights 2
Ultima Online 9th Anniversary Collection
Worldwide Soccer Manager 2007

A couple of comments before I tell the world what I'm buying. First off, why the absolute ton of PSP games being released this week? They're all going against Final Fantasy XII, and they'll all fail because of it. And second... WTF is Lawnmower Racing Mania on the Xbox? Who the heck green-lighted something that sounds so outrageously stupid by title alone?

Anyway, as for my purchases - Final Fantasy XII, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Children of Mana. Unfortunately, even if I took off this week from work and vanished from the 'net, I still wouldn't finish all three titles before next week's releases appear. Argh...

Edited to make Farscry and semiconscious happy.  icon_biggrin

Wow, so much stuff.

The only titles I know that I'm buying this week are:

Final Fantasy XII
NWN2

Titles that I know will be bought later or will go on Christmas list:

NFS Carbon
Killzone Liberation
Vice City Stories
Children of Mana

Titles that also might be purchased later depending on reviews/mood:

Secret Files: Tunguska
Death Jr 2

Nothing for me...though I've already got about 10 hours into Children of Mana.
I may buy another copy of it for multi.
I'll be getting Need for Speed at some point, but probably not right away.
My kids are interested in Pokemon Ranger, but I want to look into it a bit more first.

FFXII is already paid for, so I'll be getting that despite the fact that I have no need for any more games at this time.

NFS: Carbon is one I will likely get against my better judgement. I think I'll Christmas List it so I don't feel too guilty. NWN2 will have to wait for a PC upgrade, which will probably be in the spring or summer if ever.

Ugh, I totally forgot about those PSP releases...damnit!  I want three of 'em, but will most likely hold off on GTA:VCS and Lumines 2.  Killzone: Liberation will be purchased (go, go online, baby!)

And, siiiiiiiiiiiiigh, because of the absolutely atrocious impressions I'm reading about next-gen Pro Evo 6, I gotta pick up Fifa 07 for my next-gen-footie-fix.  Winning Eleven 10's gonna be purchased on the PS2 unless major updates are made when they plan to release Pro Evo here in the States.  I'm not entirely excited to support EA Sports (AGAIN ffs), but I'm enjoying my time with the Fifa demo enough to learn the game a bit better with the full version.  The gap is closing and Konami's half-assed port of Pro Evo 6 may have been a critical mistake when it comes to next-gen footie supremecy.

*edited*

It may be a wise idea to hold off on Killzone if you're planning on getting it for strictly multiplayer - the servers haven't launched yet, and, personally, I'm wary to blow my dough on something that has yet to be hit with more than just a decent number of game-testers.

FFXII & NWN2.

I'm actually braving a midnight sale to pick up FFXII tonight, and took tomorrow off so I can play all day.  It's been a damn long time since I've done that.

Just noticed this one:  Lawnmower Racing Mania 2007.  What the...?

NWN 2 and FF XII.

...and I need to look up some information on Victorious Boxers 2 and see what the general thoughts are.

Thank goodness Guild Wars Nightfall has no monthly fee.  Gaming time is starting to fill up really fast.

FFXII
1701 A.D. (This game was never even on my radar, but the demo was sweet.)

I also had my heart set on Yggdra Union, but I see that has been pushed back by 2 weeks.  mad

FFXII amazingly enough, possibly Phantasy Star Universe and Nightfall.  That's the plan as it were.  Some great PSP titles that should get purchased later this month though.

This week is stupid with how many releases there are.  The only thing I will actually be buying is FFXII.  However, I want to buy:

PSP:
Death Jr. 2: Root of Evil
Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony
Killzone: Liberation
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Lumines II

360:
F.E.A.R.

DS:
Children of Mana
Pokemon Ranger

I'm interested in NWN2 (PC) and F.E.A.R. (360), but I'll most likely hold off.  2 weeks from are three 360 releases I'll be picking up. retard  I'm still playing through Splinter Cell and am going back through CoD2 on Veteran in anticipation of 3.

Ultima Online 9th Anniversary Collection. Period. If I had a slightly better PC (I opted for the 360 as my upgrade this Summer. New PC parts will wait) I'd try 1701 A.D. and possibly NWN2 if it gets some really good community/player reviews.

Final Fantasy XII, Children of Mana, and Pokemon Ranger will be rentals until I see otherwise.

I'll be waiting to see how NWN2 is received and if the performance is as bad as what has been stated.  If so, I may have to pass on it since my machine is a bit behind the cutting edge.  Plus, there are lots of other games to play this holiday season.

Waiting and seeing on most of those. If I grab FFXII it'll be sometime next year. I was planning on grabbing Detroy All Humans 2 this past weekend but wasn't able to due to not being paid during the last pay period. Whoo-hoo. In theory, if I get money in today and tomorrow then I'll grab that as well as something else before the "Christmas Imposed Moratorium" falls upon me. From Nov. 1 onward I'm not allowed to buy anything that might be a Christmas present and this mandate comes from my family as well as My Fair Lady.

Nuts.

For me, my wife and family would have no idea what games to buy me if I didn't tell them.  So I can still buy games in November and December as long as I make sure that I specifically reserve some for my Christmas list.  I typically just grab a Gamestop catalog and circle everything I want and then let my wife broker them out to make sure that I don't get duplicates.

Bunch of things that look interesting.  Several of those PSP titles will probably get picked up later during the after holidays drought.  Since I know at least 2 people who are getting FXII I won't have to buy that one.

So in short:  Nothing this week.  Too poor to buy much if anything until the 360 barrage hits.

Final Fantasy XII
Need For Speed Carbon 360
Fifa 07 360

With all the stuff coming out next week, this is about all I can afford this week.  Otherwise, I'd definitely be in on FEAR for the 360 and Vice City Stories PSP.  As it is, I will still have to pick up two copies of Pokemon Ranger for my kids' Christmas so I will probably get them this week as well.

Looks like the stretch run is on.   nod

FFXII if I can find it on sale.  Aw, who am I kidding?  Even if I can't find it on sale, I'll pay full price to get it on release day.

I'd like to pick up GTA:VCS and Dungeon Siege for the PSP, but with Guitar Hero just around the corner, they will have to wait.
