thankfully, nothing, which gives me enough time to hopefully catch up on the last three games i got.

or failing that, at least it's more time with borderlands.  damn, that's addicting.

I might take advantage of that Best Buy deal and get Ratchet and Clank and two other games.

I might not.

Not sure which platform to pick for Borderlands, PC or PS3.  This was not on my buying radar until reading all the good feedback here.

Torchlight?  Not really read much on this one.  Depending on feedback, I may make the jump.

Press Your Luck 2010 Edition - for some odd reason this actually sounds interesting to me.

Since Fort Zombie is coming out on Friday, I will probably get that in addition to Torchlight.

Forza 3 for me.

As an aside, I hope DJ Hero is a monumental failure and it looks like it just might be.

So gracious!

I preordered DJ Hero from DJ Shadow's website, but sadly, it won't ship until next week.  IGN gave it a 9.0 today, which is only helping to heighten my anticipation.  We'll just ignore that I usually discount IGN's reviews.

I don't have any obligation to be "gracious" to a game developer. I'm a consumer and a devotee of REAL music games, so I would rather them not bring the bullshit that is Hip-Hop, into the realm of music games. Focus on improving the GH series rather than bringing out tripe like this.

I'm not talking about the developer - I'm talking about other forum-goers (like, say, me) who enjoy the music, and are interested in the game.

Besides which, the game includes music from Queen, Weezer, Blondie, David Bowie, Foreigner, Tears for Fears, Marvin Gaye, Little Richard, and other bands who probably fall into categories you do appreciate.

Music, in my opinion, involves instruments. Hip-Hop is profanity and rhyming with cadence and a beat. I think it is contributing in a very negative way to the youth of today, especially in the black community, and promotes a general negative life view. I think its glorification of "thuggery" and drug abuse, and the way women are talked about and portrayed, are shameful. So, yeah, while it may technically be music, I think it's bullshit and I would love to see it fade into oblivion permanently.

Yes, many of them DO fall into the music I like, but that doesn't mean it is targeting that audience. I respect your right to like it, that's fine, you're an adult, and I like you personally. Me though, I hate it, and I definitely won't be buying it.

A bunch of people who used to work on Diablo  (such as codesigners, the guy who did the music for Diablo, the guy who designed Mythos) making a somewhat boiled down but still damn fun game in the vein of Diablo.  Only $20.

Just so you know, the story that you quoted has been updated to note that marketing of DJ Hero will probably make the difference, and pre-orders are not always a predictor of sales over time. And if they try to market it to the same people who wanted to buy Rockband Beatles it will certainly not do well. I still don't see it at $50 though.

You're really lumping a lot of different styles and artists into one bad one (and they actually seem to be moving away from that bad attitude in a lot of ways).   Head into BB and listen to the tracks demo'd.  I think you'd be surprised.

That said, this still isn't my thing.  Not wishing death on it or anything, but it didn't do it for me.

jblank the worst part is going to be in ANOTHER 35 years, when you actually look back on it fondly and your grandkids are going to look at you funny while they listen to ultra-techno-super-hardcore remix porn voiceovers.  and theyll wonder why you like "that old fashioned stuff" smile

You're getting so old, you don't even visit the NSFW Round Robin thread anymore. frown

I'd consider torchlight; I grabbed Tekken 6 but I think I'm going to trade it in for Forza 3 (kinda like gamefly, except it's blockbuster and local to me).

Forza 3 is going on my gooxez list so I should have it sometime next year. Tongue It was a must have until I read Reemul's initial impressions. It sounds like I'd prefer to play Test Drive Unlimited again rather than F3.

#5 (out of 311 at the moment) on the waitlist for Forza, so I will see it this century!
