What's due out this week? As usual, a whole ton of games:
PS2: Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Brothers In Arms: Earned In Blood, Ford vs Chevy, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life Special Edition, Nicktoons Unite!, Ratchet: Deadlocked, Resident Evil 4, Shrek SuperSlam, Sims 2, Soul Calibur III, Spartan: Total Warrior, Taito Legends, World Championship Poker 2, Zathura
PSP: Ghost In The Shell, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories
Xbox: Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, Ford vs Chevy, Shrek SuperSlam, Sims 2, Spartan: Total Warrior, Taito Legends, World Championship Poker 2, Zathura
Cube: LEGO Star Wars, Mario DDR, Midway Arcade Treasures 3, Nicktoons Unite!, Shrek SuperSlam, Sims 2, Spartan: Total Warrior
DS: Metroid Prime Pinball, Shrek SuperSlam, Sims 2
GBA: Atomic Betty, Gunstar Super Heroes, Nicktoons Unite!, Shrek SuperSlam, Sims 2, Sky Dancers, The Bible Game
PC: 80 Days, Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None, Battlefield 1942 The Complete Collection, Call of Duty 2, City of Villains, Civilization IV, Heroes of the Pacific, Midway Arcade Treasures Deluxe Edition, Missing: Game of the Year Edition, Namco Museum: 50th Anniversary Collection, Sniper Elite, Vietcong 2, X3: Reunion
Between Ratchet: Deadlocked, Soul Calibur 3, the latest in 'murder simulators' GTA: LCS, Mario DDR, Metroid Prime Pinball, Gunstar Super Heroes, Call of Duty 2, City of Villians, X3: Reunion, and of course, The Bible Game (on the GBA this time around), there's something for everybody.
What am I getting? City of Villians for sure, and possibly Ratchet: Deadlocked (along with Gunstar Super Heroes if I have more money to blow), but I'll be skipping the most obvious 'pick' this week (Soul Calibur 3), just because I was far from impressed with #2, and the PS2 money hat (er, exclusivity), I'm simply not all that interested.
You?

Nothing. Saving money for my XBox 360, and have games to review still. Hell, I don't have -time- to play games. Bet you guys never thought you'd hear THAT from someone who reviews 'em, did you?

This is when I'll add things to the Christmas list. Ratchet: Deadlocked goes on there, along with Call of Cthulhu. As for Call of Duty 2, I might have to pick that up. I'll check the Steals/Deals forum to see if Frys is having a sale on it like they did FEAR.

Metroid Prime Pinball!
I'd pickup Civ IV on release but Civ III still feels like it has endless hours of play left in it for me to replace just yet.

Oh, and City of Villains isn't coming out until next week, according to NCSoft. I wondered if I should've listed it or not, but since preorder people do get to play it two days early, who knows if it's this week or next. Shining Force Neo (Diablo II done by the "Record of Lodoss War" people) Fantastic game so far IMHO. You won't regret this purchase.

And I got Castlevania today for the DS, so that's my new purchases until the release of Oblivion. (Or maybe the Movies, depending on the response on OO)

If I hear that Ratchet:Deadlocked has a strong single player campaign then I'll grab that, Shinging Force Neo, and one other title for my second trip to Toys R Us.

My patience paid off. I waited for Toys R Us to get Soul Calibur III in and picked up the following in their Buy 2, Get 1 free deal: The Warriors [Xbox] Heroes of the Pacific [Xbox] Soul Calibur III [PS2]In addition, I picked up Civilization IV as well yesterday. Wow, what a day of purchases. It does help knowing I got one $50 game for free and I actually ended up paying only $14 for CivIV since I traded in old games. Big gaming weekend lies ahead. Plus, with Daylight Savings Time ending I get an extra hour of gaming!!!!

LD No problemo Cheesesteak boy! I will be checking it out a little bit tonight with my son. He's a Soul Calibur fan. So, I might be able to throw something up tomorrow. If not, I will be getting into it this weekend. Of course this comes with a caveat. I did get CivIV as well. The "create-a-fighter" thing is something I'm also very interested in as well. Off Topic: Sorry about the Astros my friend. I was rooting for them all the way. A little Devil-bashing goes a long way in making you, and the rest of us, feel just a little better.

In spite of being the target of such attacks, I was also rooting for the Astros, but as it stands, my Angels were the only team to take a game from the White Sox in the postseason.

SS - Any impressions of Soul Calibur yet? I'm not so much into the drama that's going on between the 3 sites, (other than hoping the boyz here recover nicely), so I was hoping I'd have some impressions to read. Devote some time to it before delving into Civ IV my friend, cause that game is tough to put down.
[and thanks for the Astro's love. Guess it wasn't in the cards]
