Ah, this glorious time of the year when FAR more games come out than anybody has time to play. If only publishers would spread things out better. Oh, wait...they ARE this year. Oy.

Let's take a look:

PS2:

SingStar Latino

PS3:

SingStar Motown
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves--PS3
Way of the Samurai 3
Where the Wild Things Are

PSP:
Cars Race-O-Rama
Half-Minute Hero
Obscure: The Aftermath

360:
Brutal Legend
Cars Race-O-Rama
Dreamkiller
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition
Way of the Samurai 3
Where the Wild Things Are
Axel & Pixel (XBLA)
Sam & Max Season 2 (XBLA)

Wii:
A Boy and His Blob
Buck Fever
Cars Race-O-Rama
Dream Dance & Cheer
Ju-on: The Grudge
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
Scene It? Twilight
Ski-Doo: Snowmobile Challenge
Sudoku Ball Detective
Where the Wild Things Are
Final Fight 2 (VC - SNES)
Gravitronix (WiiWare0

DS:
A Witch's Tale
Cake Mania 3
Cars Race-O-Rama
Hero's Saga Laevatein Tactics
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
Petz Pony: Beauty Pageant
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
Where the Wild Things Are
Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon (DSiWare)

PC:
Cabela's Outdoor Adventures
Dreamkiller
Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition

Wow, what a list. But this one is a simple one for me - Uncharted 2 all the way.

What are you buying this week?

Maybe Way of the Samurai 3, or picking up a copy of OPFOR from last week if anyone has it in stock.  On the bright side I figure there will be a used copy before too long.

Nintendo DSiWare
Pinball Pulse: The Ancients Beckon
Publisher: Nintendo
Players: 1
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone) – Comic Mischief
Price: 500 Nintendo DSi Points
Quote
Pinball takes on mythological proportions in this Nintendo DSiWare exclusive. Choose from two modes of play (Regular Game or Daily Game) and begin your journey to becoming a pinball champion. Conquer mythic quests, collect gifts from the 12 Olympians, and push your skills to the limit by facing Medusa, the Sirens and more. Your portable pinball table will give you a quick adrenaline rush as you watch the steel ball fly through ramps and carom off bumpers all over the playing field. Rack up combo points, open specific game modes and enlist the Oracle for some help. Will you accept Zeus's challenge?

Virtual Console
Final Fight 2
Original platform: Super NES™
Publisher: Capcom USA
Players: 1-2
ESRB Rating: E10+ (Everyone 10 and Older) – Violence
Price: 800 Wii Points
Quote
It's been several years since peace settled in Metro City. With Cody and Jessica on vacation and Guy resuming his training out of town, everything seems to be in order. But Haggar is feeling uneasy after learning that Mad Gear was not completely destroyed. Once again, the Mad Gear Gang has emerged, and this time they want revenge. They've kidnapped Guy's master, Genryusai, and Genryusai's daughter, Rena. Now Haggar must travel the globe in search of Genryusai and Rena. Hopefully, with the help of Maki and Carlos, the reign of the Mad Gear Gang will be destroyed.

WiiWare
Gravitronix
Publisher: Medaverse Studios
Players: 1-8
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone)
Price: 500 Wii Points
Quote
It's time to claim your rightful place as the champion of the Gravitronix arena, but get ready to deal with up to seven other players who are all shooting for the same title. Vanquish your opponents with four different projectiles and the powerful beams of your gravity platform. Intercept attacks and take careful aim at exposed vulnerabilities. Deflect incoming projectiles or capture and charge them with energy for devastating explosive attacks. Team up with a friend and battle through campaign mode, or recruit up to eight players on a single Wii™ system in versus mode for an all-out battle. Customize your matches with a variety of different options, such as flooding the arena with projectiles or making the game insanely fast. No matter how you like to play, grab your friends and have a blast.

The pinball game looks pretty cool (it may be by the folks who did Metroid Prime Pinball), but I imagine more people are interested in Final Fight 2.

I will be getting Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, A Boy and His Blob and probably Mario & Sonic (my daughter loves these).

I'm pretty sure Drawn to Life is still two weeks away from release.

Tropico 3 360 was pushed to February 2010.

That's what I get for expecting Gamespot to be right on their dates. And I totally forgot about MC2 coming out Friday (even though I changed last week's list to reflect that).

thirded, but i do have a third game, opflash 2.  i ordered online, so while i don't have a shot in hell of actually playing any of these three this week, i won't have to deal with the shenanigans from the tru's in my area nor take a chance on them running out of the games i want.

IGN gave it a 7.6.

Closing Comments
A Boy and His Blob is a fun and oftentimes beautiful 2D puzzle platformer that complements other Wii efforts like Muramasa and New Super Mario Bros. very nicely. I love the hand-drawn presentation and brain-teasing challenges, all of which revolve around the blob's 15 unique transformational abilities. And some of the run and jump obstacles and boss fights are entertaining, too. That said, I don't like the die-and-retry nature of the level designs, the overly complex control scheme, WayForward's decision to ignore all Wii remote functionality, and the jarring load times between and in levels. Despite its shortcomings, Blob's got charm and style, so if you consider yourself a fan of 2D games, you'll want to check this one out, especially since it's $10 cheaper than your average Wii purchase.

Uncharted 2, but probably not this week. Hoping to finally close out Fallout 3.  Then it's Resistance 2...and then most likely nothing but MW2 starting in November...until....Bad Company 2 hits.

BRUTAL LEGEND!!!!!!

I keep reading all this glowing praise for Uncharted 2, but I keep reminding myself that I actively disliked the combat in the first one, and really didn't like the direction it took for the last quarter.  I'll probably wait until I can buy it for around $30.
