I'd wait until tomorrow - the full game launches on Monday. Tongue

Also, D:OS for me too. Whoo!

Picked up Divinity: Original Sin on early access with DLC from the Steam Summer sale, so I'll dig into that probably after BG2: EE.  Playing a NG Kensai, but might re-roll a Blackguard since I've never went through BG as a evil character.  Interested in seeing how far I can go

I haven't played it myself, but the last Sniper Elite game seemed reasonably well received.  Looked like a neat mix of assassinations, trap-laying, and run-for-your-life escapes through some fairly open level designs.  Also, x-ray kill cams.

Personally, having never even heard of Divinity: Original Sin before this morning, reading all the excitement here enticed me to get educated and make a purchase before the Steam sale ended.  Looks pretty neat!

There's some good walkthrough videos out there.  here's one about gameplay options.

Also, it hit PC on Friday, so you can hit up the reviews there.  So far, it seems pretty favorable.  Plus, it offers the whole campaign in co-op.

I bought Divinity with 10 minutes left on the Steam sale.  I'm liking this ressurgence of turn based cRPGs (thanks to crowd funding).

It's turn-based?  For some reason I thought it was an action RPG, but I haven't kept up with it at all.

Yep, turn-based.  2 core party members that you create, and you can pickup 2 more npcs for a party of 4 (plus room for summons I believe).  The skill system seems to be open, but they do have class templates to help get things started (they can be edited and modified).

The developers of Divinity: Original Sin say they've wanted to make a traditional turn-based RPG for many years, but they couldn't find a publisher willing to finance development.  No matter how the final product turned out -- and early impressions seem universally positive so far -- I'm glad Kickstarter gave them the opportunity to at least try.

Yeah, more power to them for being able to make the game they wanted with crowd funding and I'm glad to see it be the top seller on Steam today.  I guess I'm just not really interested in turn-based RPG group combat and would much prefer a single character action RPG which I thought all the other Divinity games were.

I was ignoring D:OS because I don't have a PC that will run it. Then I saw that it's Mac too. Why isn't there an impressions thread?

Is it good? Haven't seen any reviews yet.

Edit: read Qt3's thread. People seem to like it...sounds like it still has a few patches coming out.  I am torn, I have the summer off (unfortunately) but I am broke. Food or new game? Decisions, decisions...

Iíve given up on posting impressions threads because no one ever responds to them.  Tongue

Itís good, very good in fact.  Do you like games like Fallout 1&2 or Baldurís Gate?  If so you will probably like Divinity: Original Sin.  Even better if you play it in co-op.

Seems like the majority of PC impression threads are over at OO... including one for D:OS.

That's a great way to put it - it plays just like the old classic games above and is absolutely amazing because of it.

If you enjoyed any of the titles listed and have fond memories of them, buy D:OS NOW. Better yet, buy TWO copies, and then you can play with a friend in co-op!

D:OS runs great on an over 3 year old PC as well.

(Disappointing from a Mac standpoint, my Mac has far better specs than my PC, but they limited the detail level  to medium on it.)
