So, shall we take bets on how well this week's pseudo movie licensed game turns out? Will it dodge the curse of most movie licenses? Or will it be yet another game in a very long list of them?

PS3:
Dead Island: Riptide
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Star Trek

PSV:
Draw Slasher

360:
Dead Island: Riptide
Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen
Star Trek
Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine (XBLA)

WiiU:

3DS:
LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins
Puzzler Brain Games
Puzzler World 2013
Mega Man 4 (eShop)

PC:
Dead Island: Riptide
Don't Starve
Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine
Neverwinter (Founders only)
Poker Night 2
Star Trek

What are you buying this week?

Gotta pick up the LEGO pre-order. When my son gets his hands on it, (hopefully) Minecraft will be forgotten for a little while.

Black Rock Shooter is out for PSP this week, and I may get that.  I have Puzzler World 2013 for 3DS preordered.  If anyone here likes pencil puzzles (crossword, sudoku, etc) then they should check out this series.  They sound like shovelware, but they're actually very well-made, with interesting, original puzzles, and a ton of content for $20.

Picked up Lego City 3DS yesterday.  It really feels weak in comparison, but I'll play through the story at least to see what happened before the Wii U game.

Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine was looking interesting, IIRC.

I seem to remember buzz being that Star Trek was going to be better than the average movie tie-in, but nothing I've seen lately has made me think that.

Poker Night 2 is out already?  Zoinks!

I had Dead Island and Don't Starve pre-ordered. I had high hopes for Lego City, but reviews have tempered those and I'll likely be holding off.

No retail only, you need to buy this new version of the full game to play the expansion
EDIT; I am lying again,it will be available as a complete download on the PS3,but not until Summer for 360

This is on my list for this week if i can pick it up

I'm in for Neverwinter. I got a brief amount of time with it and came away very impressed.  Hopefully that holds.  Free-to-play MMOs have been rather hit and miss (mostly miss) with me lately.

Neverwinter (Founders only) -  ninja
Poker Night 2 - when it hits below 2 bucks
Star Trek - looks like a glorified Gears of War mod

Pre-purchased Dead Island on PC - got it for $15 at GMG using a sale and store credit. And just purchase both the original Dragons Dogma for $19 on Amazon and the Dark Arisen. Did always want to get the DD games just never got around to it so nows the perfect time.

From what I read dark arise  is a standalone that includes the original game so I think you don't need to buy that separately?

From the DD forums:

The Game will be released on Disc at 1st, and will be up as download later in time.

DA:DA is both Original game and DLC.

Do to updates, changes to mechanics of game, and Game play. It wasn't able to be patched.

Buying DA, nets you Original game(which now takes into effect all changes brought by DA(new skills, better menus) Better gear)

DD:DA also comes with all DLC that was released for Dragon's Dogma.

Your Save file from Original copy will also work with new version. (there will even be some new monsters in old areas)

It should include the speedrun and the hardcore modes Bull that came to the original version via patches..i think the speederun mode is the renamed easy mode they told us about

I am a bit gutted that there are no new achievements(even for the add on section)especially as they usually include a new list for their usual re-releases,i don't give a rats ass about gamerscore but i do love my achievements and going out of my way in a game to earn them...so yay,i already have 1000/1000 for this game, and i haven't even picked it up yet icon_wink  icon_frown

Wow, so for $40 you get the original game + DLC + this whole new thing?  Pretty sweet, assuming those new powers or whatever don't screw up the old game.
