Slam Bolt Scrappers was a ton of fun at PAX. It's 2v2, you play little guys on jet packs, and split your time between attacking the other team and trying to build your base with a pseudo-combination of Tetris and Puzzle Fighter mechanics. There are different colored Tetris blocks that add turrets to your base as you form solid squares. The bigger the square, the better the turret. Blue = shields; red = missiles; purple = lasers. There are also power ups for your little construction worker fighters.
Great little indie title, but it's a shame it's only on PSN and not XBL as well.

Probably Okamiden, waiting for some reviews though.
Gah...enough with the flood of games! In the last 2 weeks, I will have picked up:
- Okamiden - Dragon Age 2 - Beyond Good & Evil HD - Bulletstorm - Xenogears (PSN) - Vagrant Story (PSN)
How the hell am I supposed to play all these?

PS3: Slam Bolt Scrappers Yakuza 4 - If I ever finish Y2 and then get through Y3, I'll pick this up, but that's waaaaay down the line.
360: Full House Poker I'll get it for my Windows Phone 7, too, so I'm a sucker. Wish there was some kind of deal. Homefront
Wii: Trackmania: Build to Race
DS: Okamiden Picked it up on Saturday, and it's great. Normally, I would like to have finished Okami first, but my Wii crashed about 2/3 or the way through, and I don't see myself replaying all of that right now (though I would happily start over if there's an HD remake).

For those still playing Majesty 2, Steam has added 2 new dlc for it.
Monster Kingdom and Battles of Ardania.
Don't recall seeing it last week or this week. I finally just got past the very difficult "Pretender to the Throne" mission.

weird that it took them this long to get those expansions. they've been out for quite some time. I'm trying to finish battles right now. have two more maps to go. i completely understand why a lot of folks really hate this game, but it's my go to game when i want to wast a couple of hours. it's more tower defense game than anything else, imho.

Perhaps Homefront for the 360. I didn't pre-order like I usually do, since the last game from this developer, Frontlines, didn't turn out to be as good as I hoped it would. I'll be waiting for impressions on the multiplayer; the single player campaign doesn't sound long enough to make it a consideration in my purchase.

Mostly these days, I'm playing the "big games" that are already out, or have recently been released. There's nothing on the list this week that will divert me from finishing Fallout New Vegas and then playing Dragon Age 2. So, once again, the answer is Nothing This Week (so far.) Of course, next week could be a problem - but I'm not looking for trouble, so no surfing - I'll wait for next week's GT list. By then, I might even be done with FONV even at my rate of play.

Probably Okamiden, waiting for some reviews though.
IGN: 8.5CLOSING COMMENTS Okamiden has all the right ingredients for a spectacular adventure game, though it never quite reaches the heights of the titles it seeks to emulate. Even so, it shows tons of promise, and has me really excited for the future of this franchise in the making. All in all, there is nothing lacking in this package. An engaging tale, memorable characters, epic boss battles, and cute wolf puppies-- it’s all here and it feels great. Good news for gamers: it seems an old wolf can learn new tricks.

Umm, think dragon age was last week...
My son twisted my arm into paying 6 bucks for that "dirk the daring" ipad app..
And I bought the black ops map pack.. But uhh, that may have been last week too..
So, in closing, I am playing dragon age, shooty face, and waiting on the witcher...

Played for over an hour last night and so far I likey a lot. Played on Hard, three set match, and it played out VERY nicely. There's a lot of subtlety to how to make different shots that is explained very well in the tutorials.
