So, with the absolutely insane number of games that are worth buying being launched between now and the rest of the year, I figured I'd try something a bit different. Just to show you how much money you'll all be spending between now and the end of the month.  nod crybaby

Don't worry, I won't be ignoring my usual weekly 'what are you buying' posts for this.  Tongue

So... What are you gonna buy for the rest of the month (assuming my sources are accurate, I didn't forget anything, and Acts of Gord messing things up with titles that should launch on their respective weeks)?

(each '-' mark shows a different week)

PS2:
- Fatal Fury Battle Archives, Madden NFL 08, Metropolismania 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3
- Brunswick Bowling
- Stuntman Ignition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, Wild Arms 5

PS3:
- Madden NFL 08
- Ghost Recon: Advanced WarFighter 2
- Dynasty Warriors Gundam, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, Warhawk (online only)

PSP:
- Dungeons & Dragons Tactics, Madden NFL 08
- Brunswick Bowling, Dragoneer's Aria, Ghost Recon: Advanced WarFighter 2, Jeanne D' Arc
- Dead Head Fred, NHRA Countdown to the Championship, Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Naruto Ultimate Ninja Heroes, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

360:
- Madden NFL 08
- BioShock, Two Worlds
- Blue Dragon, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, Moto GP 2007, Stranglehold, Stuntman: Ignition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 08

Wii:
- Madden NFL 08
- Brunswick Pro Bowling
- Carnival Games, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

DS:
- Heroes of Mana, High School Musical: Makin' the Cut, Luminous Arc, Madden NFL 08, Operation: Vietnam, Rune Factory: Fantasy Harvest Moon
- Brain Age 2: More Training In Minutes A Day, LifeSigns: Surgical Unit, The Settlers, Turn it Around
- Professional Fisherman's Tour: Northern Hemisphere, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

PC:
- Madden NFL 08
- BioShock, Destination: Treasure Island, Two Worlds
- Guild Wars: Eye of the North, Medieval II Total War: Kingdoms Expansion, Stranglehold, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08

As for me... *looks over the list* Dear lord... Wild Arms 5, Dungeons & Dragons Tactics, Dragoneer's Aria, Blue Dragon, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, BioShock, and Two Worlds.

When the holy fuck am I gonna find time to play these games? *curses developers and publishers for releasing all their fucking games during the same 4 months of the year*

That it has. Finally. And Brave Story kicks all kinds of ass. A bit simple but a lot of fun.

Lessee...

Definites:
Madden 08
Tiger 08

Probables:
Stranglehold
Warhawk

Mebbes:
Moto GP
Bioshock
Blue Dragon

So I'll probably buy 4 titles, give or take.  That's a bit more than I was expecting, so perhaps I will try to wait on a few of them.

Blue Dragon here, and I may get Bioshock when it hits the bargain bin... I am just sick of shooters anymore.  Now if it was an RPG such as Deus Ex, then I would have been more likely to buy it.

360:
Madden NFL 08 - possible buy
Stranglehold - possible buy/wait for a price drop

Wii:
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption definite buy just not right away.

PC:
BioShock - definite
Two Worlds - definite

So 3 definites but only 2 that are definitely day one purchases.

PS2
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3; Wild Arms 5 - Aww come on, its the swan song of the Ps2 with send offs of their classic series! How can you NOT buy them?

PS3
Warhawk Online - Only because I haven't turned it on once since I stopped playing Motorstorm.

PSP
Dungeons & Dragons Tactics, Jeanne D' Arc, Monster Hunter Freedom 2 - All solid titles while between Brave Story, Marvel CCG, Warhammer CCG, Metal Gear, and Tale of the World, have made my PSP actually good to have!

360
Madden NFL 08, BioShock, Two Worlds, Blue Dragon, Dynasty Warriors Gundam, Stranglehold, Stuntman: Ignition, Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 08 - I love my 360, and I love most of the titles coming out this winter season! Madden is a no brainer, Bioshock is a less of a no brainer, Two worlds is cheesy enough on the PC to get for my couch, Blue Dragon is a dream game, Dynasty Warriors: G makes me finally enjoy the concept of the game without having to understand Japanese folklore history, Stranglehold reminds me too much of Max Payne not to get, Stuntman Demo rocked on Live, and Tiger Woods is the most relaxing sports game EA makes.

Wii
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Its Metroid.

Thats about it...Im mainly waiting for Warhammer and Age of Conan so I can get back into MMORPGs and join my friends still playing WoW, but now with work and my schedule, console gaming best fits my schedules! and I CANNOT WAIT!

the US release is supposed to be version 1.5, which is apparently a huge upgrade (the download for everyone else is supposed to be 1+ gigs), I'll make sure to post some impressions since I have it pre-ordered.

Please do, as that's pretty much the only 'maybe' title on my list too.

3-10.... yeah that's not going to happen with school and work going on.  I've put 43+ hours into Tales of the World on the PSP so far, which has been a really good thing considering the lack of interesting to me 360 titles recently.

Sheesh... money and time... lacking both.

PC
Bioshock
Two Worlds - only if reviews are good, and then only for the co-op multiplayer

PS3
Stranglehold Collector's edition for the bluray movie and game, but probably not on release day.
Warhawk Online - did they officially name this Warhawk Online or is it still just Warhawk?

I saw it as just Warhawk - I added the Online part to make sure everybody knew it was online only. I guess I should fix that.

Interested in a lot of other stuff, but waiting for reveiws first (including Bioshock smile)

Please let Tiger Woods for the Wii, be the best golf game ever.

PSP: glad to see some good games coming out, preordering a 2000 as soon as I see the option available.

Luminous Arc and Rune Factory.

Been thinking of getting a PSP when the revision comes out but not sure if I am. Want one but know that I still have lots of gaming to do with the GBA/DS games I already have and the other DS games coming out. Probably still cave and get one as I'm not upgrading my old PC or getting a newer console (have xbox1 & ps2). Think I'm going all handheld, just not sure if staying with 1 or going with 2.

Why buy what you don't have time to play yet? Buy what you'll play when you have time to play it, then when you have time to play more, you'll be able to buy the others cheaper. nod

As for me, only one title this month, and I "pre-purchased" it via trade: Blue Dragon

Stranglehold is now a 'wait for price drop' and possibly PC title.  I liked the 360 demo but will not make any definite decision until the PC demo comes out in the next couple of weeks.

If my 360 doesn't get back in time, it'll only be 1: Warhawk. Bioshock may either have to wait or may be a PC purchase.
I'm also very ready to never give Microsoft another penny.

agreed, for major releases - but when it comes to quirky titles like luminous arc & jeanne d'arc, i feel like it's still a matter of get'm now, while they're there...

That's a good point, and I do make exceptions to purchase titles that I have reason to suspect will be difficult to pick up (or more expensive) in the future. icon_biggrin
