It's time for the annual naming of the GOAT's. What console games that came out in 2005 were GOAT's - God-awful, Obnoxious, Annoying and Terrible? This can be either the worst game you played or the biggest disappointment. And lets keep it to 2005 games. We all know Halo 2 sucked ( ) but that was a 2004 game. Also this thread is for console games and there is a separate thread for PC GOAT's. Let the flames begin!

No. It was the worst game I played, though. My review reflected that.

Rebel Star: Tactical Command for the GBA.
I had such high hopes and while the game wasn't terrible it wasn't good either. They really wasted a lot of possiblities with it.

I think I hit the trifecta of craptacular games with 321: Ride or Die (PS2), Rainbow Six: Lockdown (PS2) and Big Mutha Truckers 2 (Xbox).

I say The Matrix: Path of Neo. The graphics look terrible. It's not 16x9 widescreen on Xbox, and it has that royally idiotic and bizarre ending that pretty much is a slap in the face of all Matrix fans.

yea kevin i know i know... but still when i think GOAT i think stuff that would make headgames blush not just a let down. let downs are terrible and all but i want bad as in hideous game ending glitches or just flat out evil - the aforementioned bratz and big mutha truckers seem better suited. but then i guess we couldnt have humorous flames which is another major (fun!) part of GOAT awards. oh, and im a (selfadmitted) bioware fanboi so gotta defend my masters.

Starwars Battlefront II (PS2). There's so much replayability in the game for both singleplayer and multiplayer you always have new things to try. Hands down (or is it hands up?) the best $50 I've ever spent on a console game.

My original pick (though I agree with Rebelstar) is Nintendogs. I originally bought it because my wife wanted it and she loves Animal Crossing for the Gamecube (I do too). She was bored and frustrated with Nintendogs after about 30 minutes. I gave it a couple of hours but really felt there was no game there - just a poop scooping, dog-feeding simulator with some lame competitions slapped on top. I still don't think it's a bad game but it's certainly a big disappointment.

an odd choice, i know, but, what with all the popular acclaim, i personally have to go with god of war as my #1 disappointment. if this tightly-designed, gorgeous (until hades, anyway) 'tale told by an idiot, full of sound & fury, signifying nothing' (what story?) is the future of gaming, i may have to go retro full time (& can we please get this self-appointed game god jaffe dude to just chill out? - sheesh!)...
ps: i didn't play jade empire...

Console game hmm that's a tough one. But I'm going to say GTA Liberty City Stories. The controls for it aren't very good, at least they weren't for me. I had a real hard time trying to drive a motorcycle much less a car. Then you had a lot of "Get away from the cops, without letting your car explode" missions. That just made me stop playing altogether. To bad wanted to like it.

To be entirely fair, since this is the console GOAT awards, KOTOR 2 was a 2004 release.
On the PC side of the house however...

It took until 2005 for me to get to the wrecked part of the train... Ultimate Spidahman was a wash for me. The spidey sections were fine, but the whole Venom leaping thing (and following Electro had me throwing the controller).
