I was clearly freaked out when I clicked on my favorites link and BAM, whole new look.

Shoot I just visited it last night... man.. Still don't know what to think about it, but I like the idea that you've gone in an opposite direction from GG.


Just thought of something that I am certain this BBsystem supports, skins. Are you going to create some and then enable them? A friend of mine runs a board with this software and he's got skins so we can each view the board in a manner we choose. Just a thought.

ATB, I'd be willing to bet that the Console forum at GG slows down even more than it is. I kinda prefer this one allready because I can break my discussions up further, discuss Xbox over there and Cube here and that way we don't get as much confusion, no more putting (XBOX) in a thread title...

Thanks for the compliments, Qbe, and everyone else for that matter. May you all enjoy the new look, design, etc, of the new site. We worked long and hard on every aspect of it.

Especially that blasted Search portion of the site up top.

As for what happens to Console Gaming up on GG, that's a good question. Odds are it's going to quiet down even more so than it has in the past. I know for one that I'll be posting here far more than I did over on GG.

It's going to be kept around, but as many folks have guessed, it's probably not going to see as much attention any more.  There aren't any plans to get rid of it completely or fold it into the General Gaming Discussion forum, however.

Hey, Great start.  It looks much smoother than my launch and it's orders of magnitude larger.  I know what that means in terms of work.  Congrats.

A suggestion though, you might want a link from the forums back to the main site.  Perhaps the ConsoleGold text above the welcome or the CG symbol.  Keep up the good work. :mrgreen:

With the new look and all I've finally decided to join.  I've been lurking here for as long as I can remember but never took that next step of joining.  So Hi everyone.

As a side note, it feels so odd to be on a forum and not put things about my car in my sig.  Every other forum I'm on is Mustang related.  I guess I should put something in there about having an XBOX, huh?

Just a quick question though, is there at some point going to be a way for us to set which of the pages comes up first? I'd far prefer to have the news pop up on the front page first. Sure I could just bookmark the news page instead of the actual index, but geez.. I"m lazy here. Come on.

The gathering of everything up front reminds me too much of IGN. Of course, the site looks great, and if there won't be options like that, I'll get over it in about 10 minutes and be perfectly fine

Speaking of IGN.. I went to visit them today and discovered.. They're site is now even more bloated and hard to use! Rah!

I guess I'll just continue getting more and more of my console stuff from good ol' CG.
