I spent most of the weekend on Advance Wars DS. I also got some time with Okami and am pleased that it's starting to click with me. I didn't get much time with it as it was a very busy weekend with house work, a pampered chef party and various other things.

Lots and lots of Okami- 22 hours on the clock now and I'm guessing I'm about halfway based on the Act Listing in the strategy guide.

Company of Heroes. What a great game. I'm pretty sure I probably stink at it though. I spent about 2 hours on the Red Ball Express map. I thought I was about to be wiped out several times as I lost my initial forward base and couldn't hold any territories. The A.I. really tears apart any weaknesses in your lines with annoying effectiveness. Felt great when I finally started pushing ahead.
Oops, console gaming, well I did think about putting in Call of Duty 2.

I dove headfirst into Grandia for the Playstation. I'd played bits and pieces up to Friday but only got about 4 hours into it. Now everything seems to have clicked for me - the story, the battle system, the levelling mechanics. I'm hooked deeply.

I worked on some Company of Heroes as well as a small bit of time with The Godfather. I'm still stuck in CoH. Mission 12/13 are linked so you really have to rely on the resources from 12 to be effective at 13.

Okami, but not as much as I planned too. Veronica Mars S1 is just too addicting, plus I think I can finish season 2 in time for season 3 to start.

The original Grandia is on my short list of all-time favorite jrpg's. You're in for a treat if you're only this far in and already hooked. Have you gotten to the yet? I marked that spoiler so you can avoid it if you want, but that was the point at which the game completely clicked for me and I knew I was in for a great time. There were other great moments prior to that, but I really dug that part. I think it was in roughly the first 4-6 hours.

Maybe 2 hours of Test Drive Unlimited... I'm still searching for the last few (14 to go I think) "missions" to 100% complete the single player stuff. Having to drive every little bit of road to find these is starting to get to me. Last I looked I had covered 72% of the roads in my 2500+ miles of driving in the game.

I thought the opening cinematics were booorrring and the initial scavenger hunt around the city wasn't much better. The Sult Ruins were kinda "eh?" and I gave up on the steamer the first time around. This time I played through the steamer and got to the ghost pirate ship and it's been nonstop since then. I'm about 12 hours in now and have rescued Rem and have just escaped from the enemy base by train. Awesome stuff.

Played about 10 hours of Okami and about 6 hours of Saints Row. Then for some reason late last night I put in about 30 min on Zelda Ocarina of Time and an hour of Metroid Prime(GC).
I just got a new HDTV so had to try those last 2 out.

Mainly I've been trying to discover the secrets of Age of Pirates, but I've actually been revisiting two favorites.
One, is Oblivion, which I love coming back to and trying out a few mods. However, I'm playing through the Dark Brotherhood missions on my second character, and that turned out to be a LOT of fun. Can't believe I missed that on my first character play through. And with all these cool new weapons, armors, effects, houses, etc, the game is quite a bit more fun.
Secondly, is I've been playing a bit of Counter-Strike: Source. Again, the customization is the draw, as I love use to custom skins for my guns, which make the weaponary look and feel a lot better, which is saying a lot since I love the weapon loadouts in CSS by default. Whether I'm using a "gangsta style" Mac10 (held sideways), or a deadly looking M1a4, or a black scout with chrome finishing, it's definitely a lot more fun fooling around with some of the weapons. Most of the ones I picked are just improved, but some (like the ones I mentioned above) are also "over the top" a bit, and add to the enjoyment.
And that's been it for this weekend. Oblivion and Counter-Strike Source are both games I love, so it's hard to keep my attention on hand, but so far I've been able to fight off my bigger urges to play Oblivion all day long, and Counter-Strike Source all night long.

My most played game of the weekend is Dwarf Fortress.
I started out this time without an axe (whoops), and was determined to make it work despite the complete inability to generate wood.
Finally, in my 2nd year's immigrants, another woodcutter arrived, to the relief of the entire colony (who had to this point been sleeping on floors -- more than 1 went crazy, and I'm thinking that's the reason; or it could have been the complete lack of booze since we had no way to make barrels).
Now I'm up to ~60 or so dwarves and the colony is thriving.
I spent a little bit of time with Fight Night (getting completely pummelled and KO'd in an embarrassing 2nd round loss), and some more time with Lego Star Wars (now completed Episode IV and VI -- though still need to go back and 100% 'em).

This weekend saw nothing but TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED pumping out of my 360 in all of it's 1080i goodness!!! I'm 100% addicted to this game. Atari really nailed the digitization of the island of Oahu. I'm pretty familiar with the streets there and on more than one occasion, I've had that "deja-vu" experience when driving down the roads! Awesome, awesome game.
It's currently on my favorites list!!

Rocket Slime caught my attention so I bought a black DS and the game and had lots of fun with it. Also Saint's Row where I finished off the Las Carnales and the hitman stuff. I managed to complete the escort activity near the airport as well. Probably going to try to finish off the Vice Kings next. I'll be looking for some more DS games to add to my collection (currently numbering one atm) as I really like the form factor of the unit and the screens are fantastic.

I had that experience with True Crime. I spent a lot of time in downtown LA and immediately recognized some placed. "Hey, this is where we saw those two homeless guys fighting!" "Hey, isn't this where those guys were selling hot dogs outside of the E3 center that supposedly made everyone sick?"
