So what did everyone enjoying playing this weekend? As for me, I started and finished off Voodoo Vince and while it is absolutely an engaging platformer, that has been in my backlog for a few years now, that final level just made me scream in anguish. It was similar to Psychonauts in that regard because while I enjoyed the game, once the ending was in sight it's like the developers just took a stupid pill and made it ridiculously tough for no good reason. While I consider Psychonauts the best console game of last year, that final mission makes me want to replay the game up to that point then stop. I hate that feeling with a game I loved.

That being said Voodoo Vince did have one of the best scores I've ever heard, a combination of jazz and New Orleans blues. One level where you're running through crypts sounds like it was scored by the Blues Brothers. Awesome. icon_cool

Yep, I didn't have much time at all last weekend, but I made the most of it playing some Zelda & Wii Sports as well as some 360 games and WoW.

While playing MGS: PO last week I decided I wanted to replay MGS3 first as a refresher.  Over 20 hours later and I should finish it up tonight.  So my weekend gaming time was dominated by MGS3: Subsistence, which I'm enjoying every bit as much on my fourth or fifth playthrough as I did on my first one.

Finally finished up FFXII.  While it was good to finish, it's always a bit sad to leave a game world and characters you've spent 80+ hours with.   :icon_sad:

I restarted Neverwinter Nights 2 last night, and am enjoying it quite a bit more playing a Dwarven Defender than I was trying to play with a Warpriest.  Still not completely sold on it, but my impressions are certainly better than the first time around.

I dabbled with Neverwinter Nights 2, Elebits, Super Swing Golf, and some demos on the Xbox 360 (FEAR, Quake 4, NFS Carbon, and Ridge Racer 6.)

But most of my time was spent playing Viva Pinata with my daughter. That game has gradually won me over. At first I thought it was just goofy but now I think i'ts pretty damn brilliant. Whenever I start playing, I can't bring myself to stop.

Not a whole lot of gaming this weekend.  Finished the SP Campaign on Rainbow Six and progressed a little further in Gears Hardcore.  Less than 2 hours combined between the two titles.

I also spent about 4 hours with Viva Pinata.

My son got Heroscape for Hannukah so we spent more time with that than anything else.

I played a little bit of NWN 2 on the PC, fumbled around with CHoops2K7 on the 360 and finished a mission from the first Disgaea on the PS2.

I agree that Voodoo Vince has an awesome score/soundtrack.  It really helped give the game an awesome vibe.  I was hoping it would hit the backwards compatibility list soon so I could replay it.

As for me, this weekend I played about 15 hours of Saints Row and am still having a ball.  Good stuff.
