Only thing I played this weekend was Super Mario Sunshine. Got up to the final boss, but lost, so I'm going to have to go through the final level again to get back to him.  I just want to get it done with and put that game aside forever, because it frustrates me to no end.  I'm really surprised I kept with it - luckily you only need a fraction of the shines to beat the game and there is little to no reward for getting all the shines.

I finished up Two Worlds on the PC, and that was it for the weekend.

Played a bit of DiRT on the 360, and tried out the FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage, Skate and Tony Hawk Proving Grounds demos as well.

Even though I installed the Quake Wars demo when it first came out I just tried it for the first time last night and had a good time.  It actually ran on my system.  It seemed pretty much along the lines of Battlefield, but I didn't try the Strogg yet so maybe they change it up a bit.

Zelda: Twilight Princess and a late night Guitar Hero II party with the fiancee and a pair of friends.  If only there was some way all four of us could rock out together at the same time...

Nothing.  I actually reinstalled bg2 w/throne of bhaal expansion and lost interest in the opening dungeon.  Replaying that section of the game just doesn't appeal to me

I finally gold-starred Heart Shaped Box on Expert in GH2.  I'd missed it by one note on 3 separate occasions (once on literally the last note of the song), so I was glad to finally get all the way through.  I was surprised, however, that a completely perfect run-through only gave me a score ranked #897.  I apparently need to used my star-power more judiciously.

Oddly, I now have 2 gold-stars on Expert (Heart Shaped Box & Salvation), but none on hard.

I played All Pro Football 2K8 online all weekend trying to get the 20 online wins achievement.  Going into the weekend my record was 19-16...

It is now 19-26  mad mad mad

I have lost 10 in a row in just about every way possible.   I lost my last game on an 80 yard bomb into triple coverage on the last play of the game.

I am ready to break the APF 2K8 CD in half and start playing Madden at this point.   But I still want that damn achievement.

I also rented Motorstorm on the PS3 and played through the first level of races.  I might eventually buy it when it gets down in the $30 range.

Bought Rune Factory the other day and played a lot of it on my trip to Shreveport yesterday for my grandfather's 90th. Pretty fun though tedious at the beginning like all Harvest Moon games. It seems ridiculously easy to get money from fishing and vegetables which is cool because the prices on goods and house expansions are insane.

I completed the Thief Guild quests and 2 more fetch quests for the main storyline for Oblivion(360).

Spoiler for where I am now:
I am now escorting the emperor to light the Dragonfires.
I think I'm done with this game for now, and will save the Dark Brotherhood quests for a new character. I'd like to be able to enjoy it, and right now I'd be skipping dialog just to "gett'r done". I also didn't do any of the Daedra shrine quests, so no big deal... I figure in a year I'll fire it up again and start a mage or full stealth character. I hope the Shivering Isles addon gets a price reduction, or I'll see about getting one used.

made some good headway on two worlds for the pc.  even with the warts, that game has some crack addiction gameplay.

i also played the first level in the copy of resistance i received in the mail.  kind of dull at this point, but it does look nice.

Just some more Blue Dragon for me, and probably the only game I play until Halo 3.

i spent the little gaming time in my weekend finishing up Halo...halfway through my goal of replaying Halo 1 & 2 before Halo 3 is released next week.  i started replaying Halo 2 last night and almost forgot how different it is in many respects from the original.  the core gameplay is basically the same, but the storytelling, level design, and overall graphics are considerably better.  i still can't stand fighting the Flood in either one for very long though...

Primarily NHL '08.  A bit of Guild Wars.  I'm officially frustrated with Eye of the North and have gone back to the Nightfall campaign again.

Mostly, I played Halo.  I never played 1 & 2, and decided to do so before 3 came out.  I finished it last night, and was very very impressed.  The game holds up very well since it was released in 2001.  I'm going to try to pick up 2 today.

I also played football.  Mostly Madden, and a little NCAA.  I haven't played APF in weeks.  I should at least check and see what's going on with the GT online league.

I'm pretty sure the GT league is dead in the water.  I dropped it last night to clear a league spot. I am pretty frustrated with APF right now.  It seems like everybody uses the "let's give the ball to Earl Campbell 30 times" strategy.  I think I am done with lobby games.  I'd like to play some GTers in Madden at some point though.  Look me up if you are interested in a game of Madden or APF.

I "played" about 20 games over the weekend! A nephew is going to S. America and his group was having a silent auction to raise money for it, so he asked me for a refurbed PS2 to put in the auction.  Let's see, I tested the machine - and the games - with: Half-Life, Champions of Norrath, Katamari, Final Fantasy X, GTA III and IV, A Bug's Life, The Mark of Kri, Contra, Socom II, and a pile of others I can't remember.

I know, now, why I prefer XBox to PS2, for the older games and the controls at least. There was way too much delay at start of game just getting to actually play it, plus bad cameras and clunky controls on most of them.  I also reminded myself to never play another sports game as long as I live.  Half the time, I can't tell if it is the game demo or me playing - and in the baseball game I tested, all I could do was bunt in the Homerun Derby part.  So sad...  tear

Then I went back to Oblivion for the rest of my weekend gaming needs and lived happily ever after.  nod
