Not much gaming for me, but I did picked up both Drakensang and NWN2 on the D2D $5 sale and will try to give them a spin.  Wish there was a way I could skip through the first 5-6 hours of NWN2 though, as this'll be the 3rd time I've tried it.  Keep hoping that it'll actually "click" with me.

Been playing DDO and really enjoying it. The dungeon design feels very clever, like it really puts all your skills to work and makes it ideal to have a solid group without making that necessary. If you're just one guy, you may miss out on some optional stuff and you'll have to think to get around certain things, but it is very entertaining.

Trading in some games today for Halo ODST , and I'll be doing co-op with my nephew this weekend, so no doubt that will widdle many hours away. smile As well, my reserve on Super Paper Mario just came in at my local public library, so that will be getting some play too.  A friend recently dug Lords of the Realm II + siege expansion out of his attic and passed them on to me, so a bit of that as well. I'll just have to see how far I get without a manual, thankfully it's available on GOG for $6. slywink

A patch was released for RB2 today that, among other things, assigns star ranking to your scores.  The catch is you have to replay each song and beat you current high score to get the star rating.

basically just trying to find something to kill time til the biggies hit next month, i think i've finally settled on enchanted arms (which i'm very surprised to see a few people up here really liked - cool! smile )...

the good news - i switched over to the japanese voice work, i've made it past the mind-bogglingly awful early section, i really like the combat, & the story (if not the characters) seems to have some potential. the bad news - i actually had to play thru the mind-bogglingly awful early section (which was what killed the game for me on my first attempt)...

well, as anyone who watched the OSU/Illinois game today can tell, Oktoberfest activities were put off due to a slight drizzle pretty much all day long.

i thought Enchanted Arms was a really fun game that put a number of interesting twists on the genre...definitely worth playing if you're into JRPGs.  unfortunately, i got distracted by some other game just before the end and never quite finished...think i was only two major battles from beating the game.  i really should get back to it one of these days, but that could be hard given how long it's been...

According to the devs at Harmonix, this is a bug and should be fixed at some point so that you don't have to beat the old scores.

I played the Brutal Legend a little.  Are you supposed to do anything other than kill the monks?  I kept running around looking for a door, but they kept respawning.

I also played a few games of Uno of XBL.

If you're still in the first area it tells you to use the "power chord" (or whatever it's called) by hitting X + Y to shake the environment.  Do it a few times and the walls come crumbling down.
