it's..... THE WEEKEND! and that means a new history lesson from the Weekend Playlist offices from Sam Kiniso- wait a minute, he's dead! what, he's just pining for the fjords? don't make me sleep with your sist- <ahem>
OK, so let's just get down to it- what are you playing this weekend?
for me, I plan to attempt to conquer the game that has become unconquerable to me. yes, Red Dead Redemption (360 version of course), your days of being in my backlog are numbered! and don't you snicker Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii, duh!), you're next! and you, Risen 2 on the PC, you'll rue the day... well, start rueing!

the first time I ended up being stuck and going back a year or so later to restart the game due to me being totally lost on what was what, but this time I just kept being sucked into other games. Luckily this time I haven't been away too long so picking it back up won't be hard, and according to a missions list I'm about a dozen away from finishing.

XBLA - Fusion Genesis. Suprisingly good and deep space game. Think space pirates versus zombies married privateer.
360 - Batman AA (new game+ and dlc) Mass Effect 3 multiplayer (all the free DLC and gameplay additions have made this game even better)
PC - Drox Operative, Endless Space

Since I traveled last Sunday and worked on Tuesday (a company holiday), I'm taking today off. So a semi 3-day weekend for me...once I finish my 3 conference calls this morning. Still plugging away at Dragon's Dogma, but getting pretty bored with it at this point. May try to finish it up, but doubt I will before getting distracted. Going to grab Rainbow Moon and will likely split my time between that and trying to figure out what the hell I'm doing in Gungnir.

BF3 360 Too Human ???
RDR was hard for me to get into. I started it right after ME2 so it was kinda slow for me. I finally went back to finish it a month or so ago and it was worth it. Not sure I will ever do a replay but who knows.

Shit, it is the weekend. It's easy to lose track when recovery days just blur together. In the past week I've finished the SP campaigns of the following: Gears of War 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Batman: Arkham City, COD:MW3, and Transformers: War for Cybertron. The only game I have left in my entire backlog is Skyrim, so odds are that may see some play this weekend.

Started the longest journey the other day. Game is pretty neat. Never really played these types before. didnt realize puzzles would require lots of back tracking if you didn't pay much attention to everything and it's mom. still it's enjoyable. too bad it came out a billion years ago when resolutions were so shitty.
some path of exiles. i bought into the beta a while ago, but it's a free weekend for everyone right now.
maybe some Dayz. seems pretty fun, but i don't know anyone with it so i pretty much just die. oh well. plus the game has some major bug and balance issues. a little disappointed i bought arma 2 for it, but i've bought worse for more. probably just need to give it more time to learn the ropes.

played a small amount of Just Cause 2, just enough to wreck a few military outposts. Played through two of the bigger Android Space games and am debating picking up one called Dangerous. (terrible name but it's quite deep for a mobile game and is actually available on my TF300 while Galaxy on Fire 2 is not.
Played some Dead Trigger too and it's a good diversion from the mobile puzzle games.
I've had a desire to get more time playing Alan Wake on the pc and TWD episode 2 but haven't had much free time on the pc after the kids go to sleep.

turns out the only gaming I got to this weekend was some Risen 2 and finishing up The Walking Dead episode 2. I spent the rest of it catching up on DVR'd shows after I realized my DVR was getting full.
