Weekend Playlist 3/Nov/06

Sigh. My trip has been unexpectedly extended...thusly, my only outlet will be DS which I haven't touched at all this week.  I SO miss Dead Rising, but won't be able to play 360 until Thursday at the earliest. That will make....more than 2 weeks since I last played any console at all.

So, but, yet, hopefully, I'll get some DS time in the coming days.

Battles of Prince of Persia is on my hitlist.

Final Fantasy XII.

Maybe some World of Warcraft and Phantasy Star Universe.  But pretty much tons and tons of FFXII.  And it will be good.

Between Dragon Quest 8 and Blitz: The League I should be fairly busy. But to top it off, I've got Sims 2: Pets to play and Bully should arrive either today or tomorrow. My PS2 hasn't been to put such good use in years.  :icon_eek:

If I can wrestle the PS2 back from my brother I'd like to continue my play-through's of Okami and Bully.

(and after getting a gift card as a going away present from my work, I've decided to grab Guitar Hero again because I *NEED* to play "Even Rats"...and I'm getting pretty hyped for the second one...)

And the 360's got sports up the ying-yang with some FIFA 07, where I hope to get some multiplayer in (and an impressions / discussion thread at the sports gaming forum), along with some NBA 2k7, although, we need a new roster since the Blazers have a couple of players (including one who starts) that isn't in the game at the current moment...

GUITAR HERO 2!!!!

However, tonight I think it's Final Fantasy XII.  Over the last two days of playing GH2, I managed to strain my strumming thumb.  This is very weird because in a year of playing GH1 extensively, I've gotten a sore left hand, but never a sore right thumb.  Now, my left hand is fine, but right thumb hurts.   Probably has something to do with having to play a lot more notes in the new version.

Not entirely sure yet but among the contenders is a title I received yesterday for review that I'm not overtly looking forward to. I also might swing by the store today on the way home and grab two more titles that I'm craving then not buy anything until Christmas. I need to continue to burn through the backlog but stacking it with three more titles this weekend isn't exactly conducive to finishing it off. :slywink:

FFXII. My plan to finish Tales of The Abyss before starting FFXII has fallen by the way side. I have a 10% off coupon for Best Buy good for this weekend, so I'm tempted to buy Children of Mana and F.E.A.R. 360. If I do, I'll probably play those a little bit as well, but most of my atention will be focused squarely on FFXII.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to come into work at some point this weekend, but otherwise I'll be splitting my time between Final Fantasy XII and Neverwinter Nights 2, though I have no idea what the ratio of game time on each will be.  Also want to play more of Dark Messiah, and I've even dusted off Syphon Filter Dark Mirror for when I'm hanging out in the living room.

Heh, same here, though it's to TotA's credit that I gaze longingly at it's case frequently so I definitely don't see this hiatus as being permanent.

I downloaded Sam & Max: Episode 1 but haven't played anything beyond the office yet so I will definitely be going through that this weekend.

And I will undoubtedly continue wasting away the hours playing Battlefield 2142, trying to earn some new weapons for my two soldiers.

So many games to choose from I'm not sure what I'll end up playing.  I got NWN2, Yakuza, God of War, Bully, Okami, FFXII, Just Cause and Ultimate Alliance all in various states of completion so I gues it'll be one of those.  I'll also be keeping an eye out for some GRAW action  :slywink:

2-3 hours is what IGN would do.  Fuck that, I like actually reviewing the product I'm sent.  I do my best to finish or come VERY close to finishing a title before I review it.  It means I'll probably come close to finishing THP8 on the 360, then I'll play probably 7-10 hours on PS2 and Xbox each to make sure that nothing untowards awaits you guys if you pick up that platform.  The last thing we need is some naked guy named Raiden popping up in the Nth hour of our games, holding his junk and doing cartwheels....

Going to try and finish Marvel Ultimate Alliance (360) first, then probably some Final Fantasy XII and some Bully on the PS2, then back to the 360 where I am loving Need For Speed Carbon and at some point I need to start my seasons on NBA 2k7 and NHL 2k7.  I really need to play some Contact and Children of Mana on the DS, but that will probably be my last priority.

Hahhaa, you have a good point.   I think we should coin "Naked Cartwheels" as our gaming version of "Jump the Shark".
