It took almost 33 hours but I just beat it (probably the longest game I have ever played and the second RPG I have finished). Truly awesome game and I can't wait for the sequel in December.

I have a question now. I played strictly on the Light Side of things but am thinking about eventually playing it again using the Dark Side. Is it worth going all the way through a second time to see the differences? Does the game differ that much?

Some of the interactions change dramatically and you have some very different choices, but they don't let you get too evil.  The sequel is supposed to 'fix' that.   I found the second run thorugh to be diminished a lil bit...you don't have the massive plot twists to look forward to, but it is interesting to see what you can do with them. smile

33 hours is the longest game you've played    That would probably be less time than 90% of the games I've played.  Coincidentally, I finished KoTOR this past week, although my final time was about 88 hours.  I loved the end of the game, especially the last enemy's final speech.  It really made you think about the whole theme of the game, rather than some generic villain speech.  The game itself is good, but the quality writing really makes it something special.

I haven't tried it myself, but although I don't think you can blow up whole planets or anything, I know you can do something horrible to two of your teammates.  Also, there is a different ending if you choose to go dark side.

I'm not much of a powergamer and it's very rare that I actually finish a game. smile

I have a save game on the planet before the Starforge so I may go back to that and see how the ending is different. Thanks for the posts.

33 hours, thats not that bad man. it took me 90 to beat both sides. Thats kind of high, but the first time through I was a little lost.
