Thought it would be fun to share what video gaming stuff we got for Christmas! (I didn't see another thread. Please smack me if there is one...I think this is different than the "saved for your Xmas list thread")

I got a lot of 360 goodness this year, and sadly nothing for the Wii, which is a pattern I somewhat expect to continue into 2008...

Guitar Hero III (with wired guitar as my whining thread told about. Loving it, but the boss battles are the worst idea, EVER. Need to buy a USB extension from monoprice, which I will do after writing this message. I highly anticipate picking up GH2 and RB later for more guitar wankery goodness!)
Mass Effect - (Awesome so far!)
Dead Rising - Can't wait to "sink my teeth" into this one!
The Darkness

Plus I got Assassin's Creed from my brother which I had already completed so I traded it in today for:
Kameo
Condemned
Test Drive Unlimited
360 Nyko Charge Station
(Gamestop is doing buy 2 used get 1 free this week. I was hoping to get one of the recent Wii games used like RE:UC, the new MOH game, Fire Emblem, or Z&W, but the Wii section had been picked nearly clean to the bone. Plenty of used RED STEEL~! copies available though....)

Also, my in-laws gave me a MS Steering Wheel which hadn't arrived by last weekend so I will be waiting for that one for a while. Great gaming Christmas for me!

Between all that and Witcher getting the long awaited load/save time patch, and Final Fantasy XII mocking me, my gaming backlog once again runneth over, so the annual lull shouldn't be a problem next year...

My sole videogaming present of the holiday was a coupon for Wii Fit when it comes out.  I really want to try the snowboarding and hope that other full games get developed with it in mind.

I bought myself Call of Duty 4, if that counts.

Two Games I really wanted:
Rock Band (360)
Assasin's Creed (PS3)

My wife bought me Rock Band mainly because she likes to have people come over and play.  But she was enjoying singing along last night as I struggled to play the drums on easy.

And then 2 I really didn't want:
Blue Dragon (360)
Star Wars Renegade Squadron (PSP)

I think I am going to hang onto Blue Dragon.  It's not my cup of tea, but I'm going to give it a chance.
Not sure about Renegade Squadron yet.

I got Mass Effect and our son got Spider-Man: Friend or Foe (simple and fun game, perfect for a 5-year old). I also got my wife a 3 Month Gold Live membership deal so we've been playing Puzzle Quest and Carcassonne against each other, quite a bit of fun. smile

I got:
Splinter Cell: Double Agent (XBOX)
Super Mario Galaxy (Wii)

Then yesterday I went out and got myself a 360 with Tomb Raider: Legend.  That was partially paid with gift money but I guess that doesn't really count.

XBox 360 (w/ Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Forza 2)
[360] Rock Band
[Wii] Super Mario Galaxy
[Wii] Cranium Kabookii

I have a feeling Rock Band and Super Mario Galaxy can hold my interest 'till after my birthday next month, when I'll see about getting Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed and/or BioShock. Do need to get a wireless adapter for the box, though...

I only got:
Guitar Hero 3 (wireless) for PS3.

And off course it doesn't work, controller can't connect (press usb dongle, then press ps button on guitar, just blinks and then nothing).
Seems I'm not the only one with problems, I'll probably get another game instead and then buy it again when/if they fix it. This and the HL2 problems really make me want to buy a 360 instead, but then I would have to return that every month when it dies  Tongue

I bought myself Road Rash 3 for the Sega Genesis....I'm enjoying it, just like I did many years ago when it first came out haha.
I'm waiting for Scarface: The World is Yours to come for PS2, I think that will be a great game.

I received:

360 Wireless Controller
Orange Box

Yesterday I went out and bought myself the Guitar Hero II bundle since GH3 is sold out everywhere in my area. I figure I'll just buy the game-only version in a month or two once I finish with GH2 (although I seem to suck quite a bit so it might be longer than a month or two).

I've never gotten a video game in my life from my parents.  To get 10 all in one Christmas-wow.  Honestly it seems like a bit of a waste-I mean, how many games can you play at one time? anyways?

Same here.  My family steadfastly refuses to support my gaming addiction.  smile

I did buy myself Guild Wars:  Nightfall and Eye of the North with some of my X-mas money.  Does that count?
