Looks beautiful. However I have been seeing beautiful videos of it for a few years, so I won't hold my breath. Still I would love to play it and would be willing to pay.

That looks great. I still have the short teaser trailer they released saved somewhere. I guess the leaders had some real life troubles that put the project on hold temporarily, but it's good to see they are still working on it. I wouldn't be surprised if Valve steps in when they are complete to have some control over it if it's of a decent quality.

I've seen a lot of speculation on that and on the surface it seems justified given their history with modders. However I read that at this point something like 100 people or so have contributed to Black Mesa Source so that might make things a bit murky in who you have to compensate/get permission from to make it "official".

Well I want to play it on a console, so they better work that out

I'm surprised that they never ported the original HL to the Xbox in some shape or form. Even on XBLA.

gods, this will finally get finished? i remember them talking about it as soon as hl2 came out with it's slightly enhanced hl1 in the silver edition. i figured they had scrapped it by now. to think it has already been 4+ years.

I personally wish they would spend less resources redoing the AI, music, etc (which were all just fine as is) and just focus on the graphic face lift. Once that's released THEN they can spend time "fixing" stuff that doesn't need to be fixed IMO.

Agreed-all I would need is for the graphics to be made nice and purty and I'd happily play through it again (well except the offworld part)

Bonus points for the Altered Beast reference.
Thinking about that line, I suppose we used to play Zombie Werebeasts.

Seems this is coming out in less than two weeks... or at least part of it. It goes all the way to Lambda Core, though that doesn't tell me much. How far into the game was that? They're still working on Xen and BMDM, where only Xen holds any meaning to me these days. You can purchase the soundtrack already, and can set the price yourself, supposedly.

Pretty far:
Anomalous Materials Unforseen Consequences Office Complex We've Got Hostiles Blast Pit Power Up On a Rail Apprehension Residue Processing Questionable Ethics Surface Tension Forget about Freeman! Lambda Core

hehe Doom 3 best graphics if you call black a graphic . (Credit goes to Daehawk) I'm now convinced that you are merely regurgitating google quotes with no knowledge of what they mean. (Credit goes to Kevin Grey)
