VGA Connection

Interested in an X-Box, but I don't own a TV. Is there anyway to use a VGA Monitor thats pretty foolproof and looks great?

I was faced with the same problem lately but with a PS2.  I found this little device on eBay that looks promising.  It allows you to hook a console up to a monitor and your PC speakers as well.

It costs some money but for the Xbox this adapter works great. Only games that won't work are the few that were released with only 480i support.

I've got one and love it.  I know there were a few others that frequented GoneGold that had one also, and from all I heard they had nothing bad to say about them.  

If you're curious what games support at least 480p (needed for using a monitor) check out HDTV Arcade for a list.  

ALso be aware that with the X2VGA you can not use your XBox as a DVD player, since it does not support progressive scan for movies.

I got this from lik-sang.com a while back to hook up my gamecube to my monitor.  I was also able to connect my surround sound computer speakers to it.  It works well, has component input, but doesn't have pro-scan output.  Picture quality it pretty good, but keep in mind it won't look as good as it does on a  tv because of the no pro scan.
