Because I loves ya...

3D hardware accelerator card required - 100% DirectX® 9.0c-compatible 64MB video card and drivers
1.2 GHz Athlon(tm) or 1.2 GHz Pentium® III processor or higher
384MB of RAM (512MB of RAM recommended)
Microsoft® Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP
Quad-Speed CD-ROM drive (600 K/sec sustained transfer rate) and drivers
3.3 GB of uncompressed hard disk space for game files and saved games (plus 1.4 GB for Windows® swap file)
100% DirectX® 9.0-compatible 16-bit sound card and drivers
100% Windows® 98/ME/2000/XP-compatible mouse, keyboard, and drivers
DirectX® 9.0c (Included)
Supported Chipsets for 98/ME/2000/XP:

All ATI® Radeon® Chipsets
All NVIDIA® GeForce(tm) Chipsets
Matrox® Parhelia(tm) Chipset

All that said, when I played it (and it was silky smooth) it was on a 2.6Ghz P4 with 1GB of RAM on a Geforce 6600 128mb card.  Not bleeding edge and not a frame drop either.  The guys at Troika were saying that they are running the game at 60+ with all the goodies on an ATI 9600 Pro as well.  smile

Release date is not official yet, but I was told that is absolutely 100% in November.  (The date that we have set is 1 week after HL2, and I think that is a fairly safe bet)

Im willing to wager you are going to be limited to fairly low graphical options at 800x600 with that card.

Woah woah woah...release date isn't set? I thought this sucker was coming out tomorrow, the 9th. Was planning to play it after a long, long day of Halo 2.

I sure missed the date being changed. Now folks are reporting the 16th, and that could then slip to the 23rd. I think this is now going to overlap with Pirates!

Well, Vampire has to contractually come out after Half-Life 2, so the release is basically any time after the 17th of this month.  The reason is because Half-Life 2 has to be the first Source engine game out in retail (Vampire is also Source).

Fantastic.

I didn't actually expect it tomorrow, but now I have a feeling my pre-order will come in while I'm out on Thanksgiving vacation.

Dammit.

So Knightshade,  just to be on the safe side here, I have:

P4,  2.66 GHz
64 MB
1 GB Ram
and a GeForce 4 MX 440 (64MB)

Do you think I can play this thing?  It sounds like great fun from your review.

Yeah, it's the graphics card.  Do you know how long its been since I looked up my PC specs? slywink

Lots of HD space, though.  That's no worry.  It's the graphics card I'm worried about.

I have a 1.7 Ghz AMD , a Gig of Ram and the FX5700 with 256megs of onboard video RAM ( DDR)  and its pretty choppy in places . Talk about deep storyline based gameplay ...the graphics errors are forgiveable , the gameplay is very good IMHO .

I'm playing this on an Athlon 64 3500 with Radeon x800gt, 1 gig ram, and it runs like crap! Choppy all the time. Long loading times. This is the worst running game I've ever experienced.

I've got some weird mouse/keyboard glitch with this.  I can move but sometimes I slide around for a bit and can't move the mouse until I stop sliding.  If this doesn't go away the game's going bye-bye.

I have basically the same system, only the Intel/Nvidia counterparts to your components and it's smooth as silk at 1600x1200.

I have 2BG RAM and a performance RAID, each may help with load times a bit.

"Did Bloodlines run on a GF4MX?"
Half-Life 2 does, so I don't see why Bloodlines wouldn't.  I wish there was a demo for Bloodlines.  Half-Life 2 runs fine on my system, but I'm not sure Bloodlines would.
