Wow, put a bit over an hour in to this and finished the first Chapter. This is an excellent game. It oozes atmosphere and storytelling.

The game is basically a side-scrolling puzzle game with heavy of story elements. Think of Telltale ("Walking Dead", "Wolf Among Us") tried to make a Braid style game. Top notch production in the game. The art direction is pretty amazing as is the music and sound.

Puzzles so far have been relatively simple. The few times I had to scratch my head over something I eventually figured it out.

There's a lot little bonuses in the game. Such as these colored photo sets from the war you can look through in each area you go through. The photos also have descriptions giving a bit of a history of what was going on at the time. You can also pick up these "bonus" items that are scattered around the level you are working on. Each one gives some additional history, such as one of the first types of gas masks every made.

The story itself is also a lot of fun. It successfully mixes humor and seriousness. Just all around great stuff. So even at this early part in the game I highly recommend it.

Agreed.  I started last night and played for hours.  I just love it.

I like everything about this except the gameplay slywink  I'm not into puzzlers like this but I love the art style and theme.  Hope it does well

I'm in the same boat, but I may try this one out if the forum affect gets me.

Iím enjoying this as well.  I thought the tutorial area could have been handled better but once you get to the dog, things pick up immensely.

I thought the tutorial area set the tone very nicely.

But, yeah, the dog is great and kicks it up a notch.

Only played up through the first meeting with the dog and the animation in this game is very effective at conveying the horrors of war.

Just got through the first major Anna section.  Playing keyboard DDR to cut off a mans arm.   icon_eek

It was actually my favorite section so far.  I wish they hadn't resorted to such a caricature villain though.

You'll be wanting to go back to that villain later in the game when the shit gets real.

Finished it up. Fantastic game beginning to end.

who is Hiden and why does he get all the spoilers?

Spoiler for Soul's spoiler
Spoiler for Hiden:
whether he lives or dies, he'd be dead by now, it was almost 100 years ago slywink  i understand your concern, but it always amazes me that people are fine with people killing people and people dying, put not animals.  my sister can watch the most blood full and violent movies if they are all people, but if an animal even gets scared she turns it off.  seems odd.  Death is death, it should all suck, right?

Finished tonight.  Great second half.  I would say itís a flawed game but a really great experience regardless.  Highly recommended.

It'll be worth it.

What a great game.

I actually found myself referencing it in separate conversations a couple of times this weekend.
