I cancelled my MLB.tv sub halfway through last year and haven't reupped because 1) I'm a Mets fan and 2) I was feeling too compelled to pull out my computer and watch baseball and wasn't getting anything else done. However, this adds a new level of usefulness to the subscription: http://www.hd-report.com/2010/04/22/mlb-tv-for-ps3-one-word-review-wow/I had hooked my Macbook up to my Vizio so I could watch on full-sized screen, but that is a bit of a pain. This is definitely making me consider getting a sub again. If they made an app like this for TiVo that might push me over the edge.

I'm leaning this way too.
The combo of watching games on iPhone/iPad/PS3 might be enough to have me pull the trigger.
Love to know if anyone else gives it a shot.

TML - I don't get it. I know the Andriod phones are the greatest ever, but you get free Extra Innings package with it? Wow! Apple doesn't allow Flash or Free Baseball!! Anyway, I bit. Devils getting bounced, Angels playing the Yankees this weekend and the PS3 thing pushed me to do it. iPhone, iPad and laptop all work pretty well. PS3 freezes, crashes and gives an error message. I could have guessed that would be the way it went down.

At Bat '10 is a $15 app from MLB that gives you a really nice place for all things baseball. I BELIEVE you get video from the iPhone version. The Android version gives you the ability to stream radio from either city during the game, which is the reason I got it.

It lacks the picture in picture of the PC mlb.tv, and I had some problems getting playback on older games. It appears as though they miss three or four feeds per night (had to use the Philly feed for the Diamondbacks game tonight, for example). But the picture quality on a slightly buffered game is excellent, definitely 480p quality with minor artifacting at worst. If NFL.com would get a similar package at a similar price point, I would no longer crave DirecTV.

This is very cool. I've been watching the games on my laptop after an unsuccessful attempt to stream the games to my TV using Playon. I watched a part of a replay of the Reds game using the app and it worked great. THe quality of the video isn't HD but I think it looks better than my Comcast Extra Innings feed that I had last year.

Yes, TML, believe it or not, the iPhone version of at bat has all the same wondeful features as the Android version.

It looks like the biggest difference between regular MLB.TV and Premium is the ability to pause?? (and PiP)

The ability to choose which team's feed you're watching is the other biggie.
