Not official, but not steep by any means.

    Minumum Requirements
GFX: GeForce 7/8 Series or Radeon 1000/2000 with 256 MB RAM
    CPU: Pentium 4
    RAM: 1 GB
    Internet: ADSL 1 Mbit

    Recommended Requirements
GFX: GeForce 8000 or Radeon 2000 series with 512 MB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo or Athlon X2.
    RAM: 2 GB
    Internet: ADSL 3 Mbit

For frame of reference : an 8800 GT w/512mb of memory costs $169.99 right now.  By the time Starcraft II comes out?  $99 bucks I'd guess.

The rumor I've heard from folks I can't quote says Fall.  I've said too much.

The last time I upgraded my 'puter was 5 years ago. My PC's running on a GeForce4200. Yeah, I think that ain't gonna cut it for the stuff that's coming out this fall, like Spore, Red Alert 3 and Fallout3.

I'm still PC gaming on a 6800GT!  Works for Portal and Team Fortress 2, works for Sins of a Solar Empire, Penny Arcade Adventures, and from what they've said so far it'll work for Spore.

my 'gaming' rig still has a Radeon 9800 Pro...kicked ass four years ago, but it's not much good now.  this is the longest i've ever gone without a major overhaul, but there's no upgrade in my future until i can afford to replace the whole system.  i'm content for now thanks to having my 360 for gaming though.  i never would have thought my once-hardcore PC gamer self would be saying that a couple years ago...

i've thought about picking one of those up as it's still one of the best AGP cards available, but they're damn expensive for an older card and still won't get me playing the latest games.  damn i need a new rig...

Me too, and I'm betting it will work for Starcraft.

Yeah I have an AGP 7800GS (256MB) it didn't cost that much and provided a whole lot more gaming goodness (i.e. allowed me to play pixelshader 2.0/3.0 games, like Bioshock.

But the new laptop I got that comes this week has a nice nvidia 8600M GT (256MB). Not bad for portability.

I hope Starcraft II makes it in early fall... I'll be in France for 9 months starting in October... I don't want to pay the Euro price or have the game with no or green blood!  eek

Welcome Jenna.

Yea, I'm sure there will be some Mega-Ultra-Uber edition that'll require me to spend 100 bucks.  My PC box area is packed with HUGE boxes from Blizzard Collector's Edition boxes.

So you're going to pick up the collectors crate edition?

There is no doubt.  I don't even know what is in it, but I have to have it.

I'm no fan of Collector's Editions UNLESS of course it's a game I've fond memories of since childhood. So that's what? About three dozen games? Ouchhh...I guess I am a fan of CEs...
